I won't be calling any other garage door company from now on. Trust me, just call this one. I got inspection/quotes from a few other garage door shops before Isaac from Instant Garage Door Repair (AKA A.M.B. Garage Doors, they merged apparently). They all found the very obvious issue (door arm was missing) and said "yeah we'll need to replace the entire thing". Isaac actually open/closed the door a few times, looked where it might be catching or rubbing, checked the roller wheels and springs, door alignment, etc. Isaac very clearly knows garage doors -- and he delivered. He was able to service the main maintenance in like 40 minutes; it went from being impossible for my partner to open/close manually to being almost no effort (and it's a heavy door)! In addition, there was a broken and missing piece of plastic where the door arm normally connects... he was able to CUSTOM CRAFT a small piece of metal that fits perfectly into where the missing piece was, removing the need to replace the otherwise-functional system! All of this ran us half what other places quoted us for the full system replacement, and none of them even talked about realigning the door or upgrading rollers or anything, and he did it without needing to schedule another day. read more

I had scheduled another company to come and replace an opener on Tuesday afternoon. I received a message that they would not be out until Wednesday morning. I cancelled them and called A.M.B.. Amazing service with a reasonable price. We just had our garage door fail - hinge went bad. Aaron fit us in that evening and spent an hour remaking the hinge to temporarily work while he ordered another. Our garage door was not standard and we were very lucky he could find the part within a couple days. I am so happy I found A.M.B. Doors! The company is honest, fairly priced, timely, responsive, and does good work. Ahron responded promptly to my email inquiry in which I described the problem. He provided his very reasonable pricing for a tune up and also explained that he could not give a price for repair work (I had a loose/disconnected cable) until he saw it gave me a free estimate. He responded promptly to multiple emails in which I sought assurances on possible pricing and he explained a few different scenarios to me through email. We scheduled a Sunday morning appointment. He arrived at the start of the scheduled 2 hour appointment window. When he examined the disconnected cable, he told me he would reattach it without charging more than quoted tune-up fee. He also pointed out aging components of my garage door, but recommended I hold off on replacing them for now because they didn't look like they would fail soon and with my older style aging door, replacement parts would not be cost effective (makes more sense to get a new door that is not water damaged and comes with all new hardware). He even replaced a couple missing bolts without charging any extra for them. After the tune up, my doors when from sounding clunky to nearly silent. Thank you Ahron! It was also missing a small part out of box and Ahron went out of his way to call the vendor, and arranged for overnight delivery of the part. We had a weird situation where we had just moved into a new house, and only one of the two garage doors had an automatic opener on it. Turns out there was a complicated reason for that. Ahron took a moment to assess the situation and then was able to figure out a way to make it work. Ultimately he had to offset the opener so it wasn't centered, but added a strut to make sure that everything would be sturdy enough. Ahron was very knowledgeable and helpful. He didn't have the parts for my garage door, but he still made the effort to come out to check out the damage. He clearly showed that he loves his job and cares for his customers. He knew I was in a price crunch (and replacing full garage doors isn't cheap). I had a broken garage door spring on a Monday morning. First of all, I didn't know that I had a broken spring...only that my garage door was broken. I called a bunch of different companies to get an estimate. All of these companies said they would charge $29 to come in and take a look. When I called Ahron, he was the only one that helped me self diagnose the problem. It took a total of 2 min. Long story short, I had him come in and fix the spring.
