I called Rainer door, and asked about garage door repair. I was told 140.00$for service call and fist half hour of service. Andrew came out and looked at the door, gave me a quote of 750.00$ to replace springs and center bearing( he never even checked the bearing ), also "in his opinion my rollers needed replacement "I advised need to do better on price, he replied " I don't set the prices ! " he could give me a lower rate on the rollers( but I thought he did not set the prices?? ) it all sounded like upsell approach to me and I advised I would find someone else. No hesitation on his part not another word, no counter offer, nothing , he was gone with , no further comments. I made a call to a reputable competitor who fixed my door without the unnecessary upsell pressure and saved myself 300 bucks and the door works great now. Really appreciated that the technician helped talk through whether or not there was a way to delay the service until Monday to avoid higher cost urgent service. I decided to replace my ceiling mounted garage door opener with a wall mounted one to reclaim some ceiling space for storage potentially. I called up Rainier Garage Door and they have appointment available the next day. Justin came to my house and quickly installed the new garage door opener, removed the old one and mounting hardware. He even routed the wires nicely across the ceiling and hauled away the old mounting hardware that I don't need anymore. My garage door spring broke around 1:30pm. I called Rainier and Marcus was here by 3:30! I couldn't open the door even manually with a broken spring. 3 hours later it was all fixed with new springs, cables and rollers. It works better than before and runs smooth and quiet. Sooo we've had a saga with our garage door. We moved into our new house over a year ago and right away the old garage door stopped working. We had a different company come out, replaced the motor with a chamberlain motor (not the right motor for the door... we have a very heavy 2 car garage door) and charged a ton of $. Right away that motor wasn't working properly and the other company offered to come back and change it out for more $! (Like a lot of $!) No way! We called Rainier and right away (and within minutes) Justin fixed up the existing motor and got the door to close all the way. The new motor (which we will eventually need to buy) he quoted at literally only a fraction of the cost of the one the other guy tried to sell us! The biggest scammers- do NOT use this company. The first red flag I should have paid attention to was their billing system, $139+ tax for a half hour to come out, and $140 hour after that broken into "15 minutes". I didn't listen to myself; a guy came out and tells me the issue is my motor or maybe rollers. I asked how he knew that, and he proceeded to try to sell me a $825 Lift Master 87504 motor, or 10 rollers with bearings for $135 + tax. I am over it. This comes to $153.04. I recently went to pay him with my card, and he started to write down my credit card number. BURNING RED FLAG, I stopped him and asked what the hell he was doing. He replies we also take checks and cash. I reluctantly paid cash for 16 minutes of service, and there is no solution to my problem. I called the company and spoke to whom I presume is the owner, Miguel, who offered no refund or discount and can care less about my issue, but happily informed me they do carry a cheaper motor a Lift Master 4 87504R for 765+ tax . PLEASE BEWARE of this company. read more

I asked them about the brand and model of these expensive springs and was told it's made by a small company, better quality than homeDepot ones, but there is no brand or model. I've worked with Rainier a couple times now. The first time they replaced the lift and did a great job. We went from a chain drive to a belt drive and love how quiet the new unit is. The tech we worked with told us it was worth the extra money and he was right. The work was done quickly and at a good price. That was a couple years ago and we've had zero problems with the lift. On Monday one of the springs on our garage door broke. These were original springs from 30+ years ago. I called Monday morning and Robert was at our house within an hour. He did say they're not always that fast, but I'm not complaining ;-). He quickly fixed the spring, but also spent time adjusting the garage door on the rack, bolted the sensors to the frame, and lubricated the wheels. Our garage door is even quieter than before. When I closed my garage today it made a big crashing sound. Upon inspection, I saw the two cables to each side of the door hanging loose. Rainer Garage Door was very professional and suspected a broken spring. They quoted me prices for replacing the cables and prices for the spring. They also were able to get to my place in Seattle on the same day. They told me between 12 and 2 but I said that would not work since I needed to pickup my kids from school.
