What a fantastic company!! We just moved and I needed 2 new TVs hung as well as a minor sound system. I am so glad I called them. I called after hours expecting to leave a message and the owner, Aaron answered. He answered my questions and had me call back his receptionist the next day to schedule installation after recommending 2 TVs and a sound system. Not only was the receptionist Stephanie very sweet and polite, they ordered my equipment and had installation scheduled the day after it arrived (within a week) The 2 gentlemen that came and installed my 2 new gorgeous Sony 75 and 85 inch TVs and my amazing Thayer quality surround sound were very professional and polite - and my dogs loved them. They were also very clean and did not leave a mess even though they had to drill holes and run some wires. I am so happy with the picture quality and theater sound!! I can't recommend these guys enough. I know it wasn't a big job, but the personal service is much better than something you would get at a big box retailer. read more

I Will begin my review by saying that I usually do not leave yelp reviews unless I am inspired to do so by an exceptional vendor or company who has in some way exceeded my expectations. However, unlike the two other reviewers here we did not have a positive experience at all with aaron at sound Environment. We hired him to do a very simple job of hanging a television and sound bar above a fireplace in our newly remodeled family room. Initially he came out to bid the job and I could sense that he was a bit arrogant and less than enthused about our small project as it was only going to amount to about $2,500. I too have my own business and always prefer the bigger more prestigious higher paying jobs, and if I feel that a job will not be worth my while I simply politely decline to take it, but I do not accept small jobs from clients and then treat them rudely and disrespectfully as if they are not worth my effort. Im sure that he prefers installing home theaters in Malibu mansions but nonetheless we discussed the work and he gave us his bid. The work was scheduled for this morning and two technicians showed up to do the work and it was immediately obvious that they had not been given any work orders or told what they were to do so my husband contacted Aaron and asked why The guys had not been told that they were to hang the television. This in itself was not such a big deal but it was Aaron's atrocious attitude and behavior that became the issue and the reason for this review. He was very rude and arrogant and told my husband that this was just a stupid little "piece of shit" job that he didn't need or care about and he didn't need the money. I of course wanted nothing more to do with him or his company, but as the technicians were standing in my living room we decided to just go ahead with the job and waited for one of the guys to go and get the proper tools they needed to complete the job. The technicians were polite enough and I think pretty mortified by his behavior as well and they did a satisfactory job though not great on explaining how everything worked once it was set up with our new $800 universal remote that they programmed. Aaron the owner, never showed up couldn't have cared less just wanted his money even though he claims he doesn't need it. I took a look at his website where he has a very self laudatory write up about how his number one priority is Customer Service and I can tell you firsthand that is certainly not the case and is truly laughable! I have had this type of work done before many times in other homes I have owned and have always had great experiences with the companies I've hired. I had thought about hiring one of them to do this job but since we just moved out here not too long ago I thought I would hire a local Business. I will not make that mistake again, I will only hire people that I can depend on who are polite, professional and helpful. And have the intelligence and emotional maturity to run a business. If you are looking to have audio or video work done in your home and you don't want an arrogant little ass treating you like you are gum on his shoe, I would suggest you not use this company there are many other good ones out there. read more

About 6 years ago I had Sound Environment design and install all the video, sound and network for my house that we remodeled. Aaron the owner was great to work with and his team did a great job wiring and installing everything from Sonos units and in-wall speakers to a complicated art screen box for a hidden home theater in our living room. While that's great, the real reason I'm writing this review is that when you do this type of stuff to your house, you're going to need to have an on-going relationship with the business that did it as over the years you're going to be upgrading things as technology changes. We just replaced the old Apple network with a new Ubiquiti network. Well, as luck would have it, it's Monther's Day and I'm alone with the kids and one of the access points wasn't working causing our Apple TV to not work. Well, sent the wife to the spa and now my 3 year old is freaking out and I'm about to call her for help. Instead of that I called the owner Aaron who dropped everything he was doing, came to my house on a Sat and fixed it. Then showed me how to troubleshoot that type of issue in the future (turns out they told my wife about an app for that and she forgot to tell me about it). So, not only has Sound Environment provided me with 6 great years of service, the owner Aaron just saved Mother's Day!
