This is a fantastic business!! We had a great time on the Leavenworth tubing and brats trip. You can't beat the price and the overall experience. They were so great, providing everyone with water and snacks on the bus trip there and back. They also provided entertainment both ways including trivia and movie/tv episodes. The entire trip was so well organized, from picking us up at a convenient location downtown with easy parking to bringing extra sunscreen to providing plastic bags for wet suits after we changed. Happy to have been part of a well-run trip to Leavenworth to see the Christmas lights. A long, winding drive through the snow and ice breezed by in a chartered bus, fueled by light snacks and ample doses of surprisingly tough trivia. You can tell that this is a company that knows what its doing: the logistics were down pat, and everything had been planned well in advance. Good to see a local company making a positive name for themselves in a difficult industry. The Christmastime Leavenworth tours often sell out, and its important to get to the pickup spot on-time. Getting there very early and grabbing a bit to eat at a local breakfast spot is a good way to play it safe. Looking forward to future events. read more

Great ride to Leavenworth. Bus was clean and comfortable and the driver and the bus host/hostess were wonderful. Complimenary snacks and water bottlea were a nice touch. Also optional holiday trivia on the ride up and holiday movies playing on the way back. Buses are equipped with wifi so you can surf to your hearts content. Lovely experience with Soundex ursions. The driver Curtis and tour guide Austin were completely adorable.. Free munchies and water was available throughout the trip. Took less than 3 hours to reach leavenworth.. However entering town took us an extra half hour. Austin n curtis were kind enough to compensate for that extra half hour by leaving the town late. Instead of 6.. left at 6.30 and managed to reach Seattle before 9.. Awesome read more

My mom (visiting from Nova Scotia) and I took the Sound Excursions bus to Leavenworth this year for the tree lighting ceremony. I loved the idea of not having to drive there myself, and the bus ride was fun (trivia! treats! water! safety!) and relaxing (onboard bathroom! comfy seats!). And Leavenworth, of course, was magical. My boyfriend and I just did the sushi making/sake tasting at Chiso with Sound Excursions last weekend. It was such an amazing group of individuals that helped us have a wonderful time. It was so interesting learning about the art of sushi making, and realizing how incredibly difficult it was! The food (although we assembled it) was fantastic. Although the outcome wasn't the prettiest it still tasted great! Would definitely recommend Sound Excursions, and can't wait for our next activity with them! read more

I had an amazing snowshoeing excursion and trip to Leavenworth! The bus ride was great (Parks & Rec episodes, WA & wine trivia, fun riders and guides!); the snowshoeing tour guides (especially Terry!) were helpful, knowledgeable, and fun; the lunch at Sleeping Lady Resort was absolutely delicious; and on the bus they gave us excellent recommendations for wine tasting in Leavenworth. Boudreaux was our favorite. I will say, the snowshoeing was a lot less challenging than I thought, so I didn't get quite the workout I was expecting, but still fun nevertheless! And the Icicle River trails were absolutely beautiful in the falling snow, so we were able to enjoy the scenery more since we weren't working quite as hard! I would absolutely go on another Sound Excursion, and would definitely recommend to anyone! read more

This was my first Sound Excursion and it was a lot of fun! We did a terrarium wine tasting, they provided all the supplies, we got a glass of wine to drink while we created and then did a wine tasting after. The staff were all very nice and helpful and the wine was very tasty! We also made new friends while we were there. Great experience all around. read more

I highly recommend Sound Excursions for the Leavenworth River Tubing! I am normally against any sort of organized trips, but my friend brought me along and I am so glad she did! I have tubed down the Wenatchee River before, but doing it with Sound Excursions was so much better!! It was so nice not to have to worry about anything. The company took care of everything, including transportation of personal belongings to meet you once you got off the river and a delicious lunch! Plus they handed out some SUPER HELPFUL swag! Being honest, the best part was not having to drive home after a day full of eating and drinking. But a close second would definitely be our phenomenal guide Cassie and driver Amanda. Cassie wasn't a "typical, annoying guide." She was so helpful, and funny and kept the entire bus laughing and entertained! Everybody talked about how much they loved her. If you are ever looking for a fun and relaxing day, definitely pick Sound Excursions!! read more

My husband and I enjoyed the Leavenworth Christmas tree lighting Sound Excursion this past Sunday. According to the driver and host, Sundays are the best days to go because there is less traffic and the town is not as crowded as Saturdays. And they were right! We arrived in Leavenworth half an hour early and got back to down town Seattle a half an hour early too... all due to low Sunday traffic. The ride to and from the location was great! The host, Vicky, filled the 2.5-3hours with games, movies ,snacks, and water! Great service! read more

My sister and I attended the terrarium and cider tasting. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the event. Sound Excurisons had knowledge staff and easy to follow instructions for how to make the terrariums. We loved how ours each turned out. We typically are not "tour-types" however the Snowshoeing event in Leavenworth was exceptional. Loved that we could put our minds on auto pilot while we rode the lux bus to our destination. Endless snacks, water and coffee helped fuel our journey to and from. An excellent tour guide and Curtis the bus driver made time on the road fun. The guides were great and super helpful with our equipment and of course, the sun and beautiful blue skies made the experience unforgettable. This company is great! My husband and I booked a trip with Sounds Excursions but were unable to make the trip due to a work related injury my husband suffered. Even though the website says no refunds or rescheduling the company was more then happy and quickly responsive when we asked to reschedule our trip. When we finally went on our trip we had a 2 1/2 hour bus ride the location. The tour guide kept us occupied with 4 rounds of Trivia and some episodes of The Office to entertain us. The trip itself was fun and relaxed. The tour guide gave lots of room for exploring without his guidance or direction. We were able to do our own thing. Parking for the event was easy to find and inexpensive! I highly recommend taking a trip/tour with Sound Excursions! read more

Partook in the Leavenworth Tubing, Brats, and Beer trip. Really well planned and executed. The guides were extremely energetic and engaging and kept us entertained the entire bus ride - something that could have otherwise been a boring start and end to the trip. They took care of all of the planning and execution for us. All we had to do was show up and have fun. Price was extremely reasonable, and barely cost more than if we drove, rented tubes, and bought food ourselves (and we didn't have to get the car from the start to end). Overall a really great concept, company, people, and execution. Highly recommended, and we'll be doing more trips with them in the future. read more

This past weekend, we went on the Leavenworth Christmas Tree Lighting trip. It was fantastic! The check-in process was extremely organized and timely. They kept right on schedule. They provided snacks and water bottles for the ride there and entertained us with trivia and bingo. Once there, we were free to venture throughout the city until our bus left 4.5 hours later. It was great. We were able to enjoy Leavenworth without worrying about having to drive ourselves home. It had been snowing all day long! The bus left right on schedule that evening and the driver was wonderful as well. He was very competent and told us how long he expected it to be with the snowy roads. They played Xmas movies on the ride home and we ended up getting back to South Lake Union only 10 minutes behind schedule. I would gladly recommend Sound Excursions to anyone. Danni was amazing and Kevin the driver was awesome! Offered a variety of snack and water for customers. The only issue was the delay from our original departure time out of Seattle from 9a to 11a. And by the time we got out of the water from our float and ate there was not much time to "sight see". But, overall was a great trip and can't wait to do it again. read more

I went on the trip to Leavenworth for the tree lighting on 12/4 with my mom and two of our friends, and we had the BEST time! We met the bus in Seattle and they signed us in and let us pick all kinds of snacks to take with us. The bus left pretty much right on time. Our bus driver was Bonnie and she was amazing! She had the best personality and sense of humor, and she even had to stop and put the chains on the bus all by herself. She was a rock star and got us there safely. Our guide was Shanice (I really hope I spelled that right) and she was equally as amazing. She was so funny and bubbly and kept us Laughing and entertained. We played trivia for the first half of the ride and then watched the movie Elf on the second half of the ride. We were dropped off in leavenworth and had almost 5 hours to eat and explore. The bus ride back was quiet and peaceful. They turned off the lights and we watched more Christmas movies. Bonnie got us back to Seattle safely. We loved our bus team so much! They made the bus ride so fun and it really got us excited for our time in leavenworth. This is definitely worth trying if you haven't yet. read more
