However, his office staff is the worst that I've ever worked with, especially the lady that works in the billing department. My first interaction with her was when I brought my daughter in and they had to perform a root canal.- when I was paying the bill. I asked her why one tooth was more expensive than the other tooth and she continued to chastise me and say well there are teeth that have more roots than others in a very snarky response, as if somebody who does not work in dental understood this. My other daughter also went in for a root canal and they ended up having to extract the tooth failed to tell us that she needed to come back to get stitches removed and she ended up having pain about a month later and they said oh sorry we dropped the ball on this one. The last straw was when my newly turned 18-year-old daughter went in for some work, and they failed to tell her that this was not going to be covered by our insurance because this work was already done previously at another dental clinic. To this day I continue to receive invoices in the mail saying that this is overdue and emails. We refuse to pay this as it's their responsibility to let us know that something is not covered because it was already previously done that year. My husband has attempted to have several calls with the insurance companies and this office and has completely failed. I have moved my entire family out of this practice and onto a new one and I would say I do not recommend giving them your business.

As someone with severe medical trauma and constant intrusive thoughts, this last-minute change significantly worsened my existing fears and anxieties. While I understand such adjustments may be necessary, giving notice so late made it far more distressing. For those on the spectrum or who rely on medication to manage appointments, be cautious, there's better specialized offices available.

The individuals at the frontdesk, in charge of the office running smoothly are rude and offer the poorest customer service I've ever dealt with when it comes to dental/health care. Some of the doctors (Dr. Lewandoski) are not focused on providing good dental care due to incompetence. In the last 3 years this clinic has placed an emphasis of making money by providing substandard dental care. I had to find another dental clinic to have my teeth properly cleaned even after I tried communicating my concerns with the Frontdesk. A new dentist had to address my dental concerns and addressed my teeth not being cleaned properly after 6 - 8 cleanings. The clinic drilled into my teeth, claiming I had a cavities and placed fillings that lasted only a year or so. This clinic and several others in Pierce county are owned by group of investors who seem to have little interest in patient care.

The office also referenced a February 17, 2025 appointment that was supposedly canceled outside the policy, but the first text communication I ever received from them was dated February 25, 2025, and I never received any reminder or text regarding a February 17 appointment. ^^ I looked back and it looks like I did have an appointment on February 17 that I scheduled via phone call. On Monday, February 16 I was at Swedish hospital with my two young kids who were just diagnosed with flu A. It knocked us out as a family for two weeks! So that is why I did not make my February 17, 2025 appointment. So I guess they did give me a courtesy cancellation.... However it just feels like another dentist office trying to screw people over. Because this office is out-of-network for our insurance, the visit was already fairly expensive. While I truly liked the quality of care, I was disappointed with how the cancellation fee situation was handled.

I'll start with the fact the office feels out of date and dingy and is frankly due for a remodel on the inside. I never got the feeling that I was being taken care of by their staff using anything particularly state of the art. During my first appointment, Dr. Kim, though he is a nice person, was yawning the entire time he worked on my teeth. That gave me no confidence in his care, and honestly made me concerned for an upcoming procedure he would be performing. It happened multiple times during other appointments. Finally, today I got a call from their front desk notifying me about my upcoming appointment the next morning. Frankly it's on me for forgetting that I had scheduled the appointment. However, when I asked to reschedule I was notified there would be a fee. It is predatory business behavior to notify without enough time to reschedule before being charged. I will absolutely be moving to a more customer focused, state of the art, practice after this final straw.
