Called around to a few different audio shops at about 11am today to inquire about getting a security system and Apple car play head unit installed. I had a few tell me they couldn't get me in until next Wednesday. When I called the sound warehouse they said not only that they would be able to get me in today at 2:30, but they had the lowest price. What was even better is only an hour after I called, they called me back to let me know they would be able to get me in even earlier. I dropped the car off and they said it would be done before the end of the day. And sure enough, they gave me a call about 40 mins before they closed to confirm it was done. I've been shopping with these guys since the 80s and today they put in a new Kenwood camera front and rear that records when I'm parked and when I'm driving along with a little Rockford Fosgate 10 inch sub enclosure and this isn't a BMW X5M series and it came out incredible and they did a wonderful job and it was priced great and if you want a little kick for a small dime, I highly recommend going down there and tuning up your rig read more

These guys are good they were able to fit a 10" subwoofer in my R8 Spyder. The R8 Coupe has space between the seats and the engine for subwoofers but the R8 Spyder has no space because the canopy drops down back there. So they could either hide the sub in the console with a small subwoofer or put it in the passenger footwell. They were able to tweak the timings of the speakers so the sub hits at the right time with no lag. They did a very good job. Got a decent amount of bass now considering how small the car is. Also they have excellent ongoing support. I blew an Amplifier and they replaced it for free. Thats above and beyond if you ask me. read more

March 17th-18th 2022 So, I recently went to this establishment to get an auto start and alarm for my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. All was good, until my wife told me my brake lights are no longer working. Mind you, this all happened after my installation of the above-mentioned items. So, that same night I text. I got a reply, the following morning when they opened. They asked for me to bring it in, so I did. I waited not that long, for them to tell me it was the bulbs had blown. I knew they were working prior, so I go to O'Reilly's. They explained that it's odd for all the three brake lights not to be working at all! I think it's sad, when the exact same company that installed my stereo, pretty much said they weren't responsible! All I can say is, before you leave this place, make sure all of your shit is working after they install your new shit!!!!!! Now I need a new brake switch to be installed!!!!! I am giving Sound Warehouse my highest recommendation for anything auto related such as sound, security, remote starting, etc. I recently upgraded my worn out audio system in my 2005 Volvo XC 90. New Kenwood head unit with wireless Apple Car Play, BT, SXM, steering wheel controls and new back up camera. Mike was a pleasure to deal with. Great recommendations and I never felt "oversold." Now every time I get into my car to drive, it is such a pleasure having a high quality updated system. My back up camera went from a horrible lo-res black and white screen to a vivid beautiful color screen that gives me much more information and confidence! Also, I have had a few issues that needed tweaking and Mike got me in right away without any questions and he took care of everything with a smile. I am LOVING this new system. After my newly installed and very expensive car stereo went out for the fourth time, I again called sound warehouse to get it fixed before I drove to vegas in a few days. They said they couldn't fit me in because they already had paying customers scheduled ahead of me. Oh Really?? what am I?? That piece of junk you sold me wasn't free... I paid for it too. Thoroughly disgusted with the continued poor service, I called HOOK UP MY SYSTEM. These guys are great. Had me in the next day. In about 15 minutes had the stereo and everything else running properly then showed me all the short cuts sound warehouse took that were causing the problems. Never going back to sound warehouse but I highly recommend HOOK UP MY SYSTEM. They actually know what they are doing, very polite and easy to work with. I bought a $155 stereo and ended up paying $214 because they charged me $40 for a $10 BT microphone. They even quoted me $10 for the microphone and installation was included with the purchase. They also told me the wires were cut to my stereo speakers in the door and I would have to buy new speakers for the door speakers to get those hooked up. I would have considered it, if they hadn't hiked up the price on a KENWOOD KDC-BT MIC. I didn't trust them, after that. read more

Purchased 12" overhead DVD player for my new vehicle. They installed an 11". I called them back to let them know, he said they could swap it out no problem, it would take about 20 minutes because the mounting plate and all other hardware is the same. Had to have my car towed here when I couldn't deactivate the alarm (installed elsewhere just a week and a half before). They initially told me they'd have to just remove the alarm as it was probably bad. The technician was great though and found that the problem was basically a shoddy and incomplete installation. Instead of going the easy route and just taking the entire alarm out, he managed to fix it and even showed me how to disarm it with the new parts he put in, in the unlikely event that the alarm couldn't be shut off again. Since I'm just passing through Salt Lake on a cross-country move, this really saved the day. I really appreciate how much extra effort the technician put in to solving the problem. Just got my car worked on and I'd have to say I'm pretty pleased. Being that i had a push start vehicle that complicated things. But overall, my experience was good. Staff was honest and friendly. Pricing was a bit high, but that's electronics for you. What customer doesn't want lower prices right. But when you want good quality, you have to spend more. This place is a JOKE! I do not recommend going there at ALL. I bought a pair of speakers from them that didn't fit in my vehicle that I needed to return. They were taken out of the box but not installed or anything. He wouldn't give me a full refund because a piece of FOAM was missing from the box! He charged me $50 for the foam. A PIECE OF FOAM. Only 1 star because negative 1 wasn't an option. I think they farmed out my installation to the local remedial high school auto shop. Ive torn apart my dash, rear panels and finally brought it into the dealership to fix what was a simple install on a deck and speakers. Wired the stereo totally wrong which shorted out part of my electrical system, drilled holes with less than a 1/4 inch clearance, no washers or anything to anchor speakers except woodscrews in sheetmetal and horrible follow up customer service with arrogant employees that talked trash on my make and model trying to cover what they had to know was shoddy workmanship. Horrible experience that has been reinforced by others when I told them about mine. Should've asked around first... I went into this location, I have been price shopping for a system for my car. the guy I talked to. I asked him to give me a quote and told him what I was looking for. he wrote the parts with the prices in barely legible handwriting on the back of 2 business cards. gave me a total of 3200 dollars. I was not impressed with the show room, very disorganized. parts, tools, packages everywhere. he told me he was giving me top of the line amps just below competition level with a P2 sub, two of them. I told him I was going to continue price checking and would get back to him. I went to The HI-FI shop in roy Utah. the guy I talked to there was very intelligent, very organized, their show room is very clean and organized with displays set up to show you the sound. they also put me into a vehicle that they had installed the speakers in.I was impressed that they were able to do that. Sound warehouse is not able to do that. the guy at the hi fi shop also showed me that the amp the t400 has been discontinued by rockford and gave me a price on the newer model. I ended up getting a system with a T1 sub in a custom made box for the speaker to fit my trunk with alpine hi and lows for the exact same price as sound warehouse... I will never use or recommend sound warehouse.. since then i have heard horror stories about sound warehouse and I am very grateful that I did not use them... bottom line is, I got a better system, cleaner instal for the same price that sound ware house was going to do and they were going to sell me discontinued equipment.... stay away from this place if you really want to be treated right go to the hi fi shop and talk to Jason or Nick read more
