HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Dr. Thakkar if you need to see an audiologist. Getting custom earplugs during Covid time is challenging, but I really need them because of the loud street noise in SF and I couldn't sleep well. Luckily, I asked Dr. Thakkar for help and he made the whole experience safe and hassle-free. First of all, Dr. Thakkar is super professional. He introduced various options and suggested me to go with 15 dB earplugs so I can use them going to sleep and also for concerts in the future! Also, he took safety precautions seriously. We took my ear molds in his backyard. Everything is sanitized which made me feel comfortable. (Ear cleaning is the bonus!) Last but not least, Dr. Thakkar is so friendly and flexible to work around my availability. I recently came back from snorkeling in Maui, and had mild ear pain in my right ear. I contacted Dr. Thakkar, he soon responded back and was able to see me the next day! This review is long overdue! Dr. Thakkar took a quick look in my ears and concluded that they were both plugged with wax. After irrigating the ears using warm water and hydrogen peroxide, he removed not one but two major amounts of wax. The process was quick wnd painless and I hear much better now! Being a current first year Hearing Instrument Student of Spokane Falls Community College of Washington I had to find an audiologist that was willing to work with me and my current didactic syllabus in accruing lab hours for classes. If I could give doc 19 stars I would. I had a massive blockage in both my ears and went to me general practitioner and he would only prescribe me drops. After a week of being uncomfortable and barley able to hear, I googled " ear wax removal" and this Angel of a doctor came up!!
