The guy who own the place is who quoted me and who I talked about the install with. The quote he gave me was 450 in labor to install a sub box I have. 2 amps,an lc7i and 2 front door speakers in component mode with deadening and sealing the 2 front doors. They told me my amp kits were not good and I had to spend 100 for 2 amp kits and than they told me I needed another lc7i that was another hundred. The total at the end we agreed on was 650 for the full job. By the end of the night after 9 hours I had a car that sounds like trash and a really messy install. They tore my trunk mat to help out the shitty wiring job. I take responsibility as well. I was an idiot to pay them and to trust them to do the work. They even pressured me into paying before I saw or heard my vehicle. After going back again to have the owner fix the work that was done he finished the job only for me to have the speakers start failing a couple days later. As well as the subwoofers making loud burps even when. The volume is all the way down. I have reached out to them by both phone and email letting them know I need a refund for the work that was not done properly. I know longer feel confident in this shop to do any of my audio work. Please steer clear of this shop if you don't want this to happen to you. Here is a link to what the original install looked like. Saturday appointments seem to be a hot commodity, so make sure you call a few weeks in advance to schedule! We've brought 3 cars here to have window tint installed, 2 with a Groupon and 1 without. The first two experiences were great. The last experience, not so much. I called 2 weeks in advance and they had one afternoon time slot available. I received a call a couple of days prior to my appointment asking me if I still wanted to bring my car in.... Um, yeah? Odd. The front desk did a great job explaining the different brands, types, and levels of tint. I was told my car would take a few hours and they would call me when it was completed. 5 hours later, I had yet to receive a call so I called up to Elite myself. They were like, "Oh yeah, it's been ready". Ummm, you said you would call me when it was done? Kinda annoying, especially because I had a concert to get to in Baltimore that night. Upon picking up my car, I was informed that it is difficult to tint the back window on my brand of car and that a few of the rear defroster strips had fallen off. At first I didn't think it was a big deal, but now I'm annoyed. My back window looks janky in the corner. I'm sure "my brand of car" is not the only car that has been tinted there before. You would think they would tell me this prior to completing the job or at least give me a discount for the shoddy work. Nah, still paid full price. A few days later, I received a survey email and expressed my concerns about the non-notification for pickup and the botched rear window job. Never got a response back. read more

When researching a shop for car audio work, which included troubleshooting and repair, I noted Elite Auto Image had a high number of positive reviews. The majority were for tint jobs, but I stopped by on a Thursday for a quick chat on an audio issue. The facility was clean; pride was taken in the appearance of the shop. A comfortable leather couch set, vending machines, and coffee were provided in the waiting room. A look in the shop should great cleanliness. No strewn tools or parts. Judging from the pictures the shop first appeared "too professional", a sign of extremely high rates and installers who don't want to waste time on the small stuff. I found it, however, to be upscale casual. After explaining my needs, Mike quickly came out to the car, inspected the situation, and told me what they would do to fix it at their hourly rate. We made a reservation for Saturday morning. Saturday I dropped the car off and decided to just wait in their comfortable waiting room. There were numerous cars that day and a full staff working. After two hours the vehicle was put back together with some reservations. The equipment that Crutchfield had recommended to me was wrong. It didn't account for the upgraded factory stereo (with amplifier). Mike immediately recognized this and offered inexpensive solutions. A few parts were ordered and I came back Tuesday afternoon to finish. I left very satisfied. The costs were within my estimated budget and the stereo works and sounds awesome. I keep my vehicles pretty immaculate and there was no signs that anyone else had been in it. I'll be returning for all future work and will highly recommend Elite Auto Image to others. read more

This review is based mostly on their superior customer service! Soundworks was not my first choice, only because I didn't know they existed. The scoop: the short of it, my hubs and I took our 2019 GTIs to another shop...the quality of this shops work is...well there was no quality. We took our cars there 8 times (collectively) since June to fix bubbles, scratches, creases. After numerous attempts at having the tint applied properly, my patience wore thin and I contacted 3M. This is how we ended up at Soundworks. Here is where stellar customer service comes in--I primarily dealt with Jeff who super attentive to our issue, and looked into everything, and worked with us under 3Ms warranty. I took my car up so they could see the most recent "reinstallation"; the guys were hyper attentive and honed in on the issues of the tint. They were a breath of fresh air and it was sweet relief to talk to someone who actually cared about the quality of their work and about us. I found Elite Auto Body by reading a review by a disgruntled customer for D&L Tinting. I decided to give Elite Auto Body because it seemed to have a good reputation and the price was right ($150 for solar guard brand tints). The process will take a bit longer than most places (almost three hours) but the results are definitely worth it. The employee who installed my tints was Chris, who did all the windows from start to finish. He did a meticulous job and made it evident that he cared about what he was doing. I was originally just watching what Chris was doing from the showroom/waiting room but I decided to ask if I could go in the shop area and watch up close. He said "sure" and allowed me to watch him install the tints and also ask questions during the whole process. Ok, here is my story....I bought a Classic 1977 Cadillac Coupe Deville. I knew I wanted to upgrade the audio system so I started researching what I wanted to put in and who would be best suited to install it. I found this shop because they are an authorized distributor for Sundown Audio http://www.sundownaudio.com/ I had decided to go with these subs (which I found on a great deal on CL) anyway, Mike gave me a honest written qoute which I appreciated. After I bought all of the components of my new system (Pioneer AVH-6300 Flip-out DVD player, Kicker 1500.1, Kicker 350.4, 2 Sundown Audio SA-12's, and Kinetik 1800 Battery) I went to a few other shops to see what they would charge me for the install. HPR- gave me one qoute on the phone, another in person, then lowered it after I told them that Elite gave me a honest price. Audio Connection - HIGHWAY robbery!!! They wanted to charge me $1400 bucks for this simple job!! I called Mitch at Elite Auto and he told me to bring the car in with the system so he could take a look it. I got there and popped the trunk and he mapped out EXACTLY how he was going to install it. I was satified with his suggestions and dropped the car off there. He called me the next day and informed me that the install was done but my 4 channel amp was faulty (I paid 50 bucks for it on CL, so I figured it was broken) He suggested I use an amp they sell in house. When I picked up the caddy It absolutely blew me away!! I am really hard to impress and they managed to accomplish it. My system sounds amazing and it HITS HARD. Actually TOO hard. LOL read more

So I redeemed a Groupon here a while back. I wanted to get a darker tint on my side windows, and they did a good job. My only major gripe was that they opened ~30 minutes late. Me and another customer were just sitting outside waiting for somebody to show up. I was literally counting down 2 more minutes when they finally opened the store. My ride had somewhere to be, so I felt bad making them wait, too. Don't make me get out of bed early on a Saturday morning if you aren't going to...I really could've used those extra 30 minutes....lol Also--they never actually went outside to look at my car when I was telling them what I wanted. I wanted a darker tint, and he guessed at the shade from behind the counter, inside the store. I went with it because he's supposed to be the pro, right? Well, I picked my car up, and it's not any darker than it was before. Granted, I had a low-quality tint on my windows before, so it was an upgrade of sorts, but I basically just paid for them to fix my windows. I wasn't 1000% pleased, but I wasn't about to pay to have my windows redone AGAIN, so I went with it. I just had my windows done on my E350. I wanted to wait a few days, beyond the initial installation to give the windows a chance to "cure." I initially chose Elite because I wanted to use a company that had a high rating as well as a fairly large number of ratings on Yelp. These guys did an absolutely great job! I made my appointment for a Saturday morning. They were ready on time and they had me out within a relatively short time. As instructed, I waited the three days before lowering my windows and.... nothing. No scratches, no bubbles, no warping and no lifting of the film from the window. My car has a whole new look to it. The people at Elite really know what they are doing. They act professionally and give you instructions on what to do after the installation is completed. Elite Auto Image professionally installed window tint on my car yesterday and I couldn't be much happier. HIGHLY recommended! Read the following long-winded but true tale to find out why I'd have no problem recommending this shop for window tinting services to my best friends and family... I'm pretty OCD when it comes to car care, maintenance, and general vehicle upkeep. I was trying to get my tint done on Tuesday morning and found Elite Auto Image's online reputation (Yelp and Google reviews) for window tinting services to be pretty darn good. So I called up at around noon expecting to be squeezed in that day for a quick window tinting, but came to learn that they prefer appointments. Ok, no big deal, tomorrow it is. Phone-quote/estimate was very reasonable considering some of the local competition's considerably more expensive quotes for the same tint, plus they're right up the road from me. The guy on the phone was very courteous and most noticeably, he didn't sound rushed, frustrated, or irritated on the phone as a lot of lesser car/service shops can be when you interrupt their work. (WARNING, in my experience that is the sign of an incompetent shop and you should run, do not walk, away.) Wednesday afternoon I am right on time at 4pm for my 4pm appointment. There's no other customers in the shop, the garage sounds empty, all is well in the world. The guy at the front counter (sorry, forgot his name!) sounds like the same guy I spoke to on Tuesday and is just as courteous and customer service-oriented as he was on the phone. He went on to explain the various levels of tint, legality in MD, pricing, care/feeding, etc. So I settle on a certain percentage and type of window tint and present my Yelp coupon (perfect deal if you're going for tint, save a few bucks on tax!) as payment. The job took a few minutes to get started, I think maybe they were short-staffed, as my car was quickly pulled into the garage but it sat there for the better part of 30mins before they started tinting. I could see it clearly through the garage door from the INSANELY comfortable leather couches in their main room. Plenty of magazines to read and they even leave the TV remote out for you to channel surf. Maybe I missed some part of the process, some solution on the windows maybe had to settle in or something for a few minutes? I later saw that there was at least one other car in the shop getting some work done, but still I felt like it could have been a quicker job if they had a couple more guys back there. Good, fast, cheap: pick two! Anyways, no points docked for this very minor setback due to my follow-up on Thursday evening... After a day, I noticed one or two bubbles had formed so I swung by again after work and asked if they could come check it out and see if it's my OCD kicking in or if these bubbles really are there. The guy with the beard (again I forgot your name, sorry man!) said, "no problem" and ran right out to look at it. He said it looked like moisture was still trying to escape from underneath the tint and those bubbles were totally normal, but then said there's one or two spots on the edges that were bubbled. He ran back inside and grabbed his tools, came back out within half-a-cigarette's time, and fixed those two minor bubbles right then and there. A firm handshake and a friendly closing line from him sent me on my way as happy as a pig in mud with said automotive-OCD alleviated. Talk about customer service! This place could take it to the next level (I mean, if they wanted to become the McDonalds or Dominos of window tinting) if they got a few more guys in the garage who were as friendly as the two gents I dealt with. You can tell they care about their work, reputation, and customer satisfaction. Again, I've only ever gotten window tint here but the price was fair, the work was done well, and the customer service was truly above and beyond. I can't speak on the audio/custom work but an audio company sales rep swung in the shop to check the stock of gear or something while I was waiting, so I'm guessing that this side of their house is doing good too. You bet I will be back for some professional detailing work in the near future! Well done, boys. read more

Bought a used work truck to convert to a a tailgate/picnic vehicle. Visited a couple shops and settled on Elite...just got a good vibe from Mike (the owner) and the others in the very calm shop. They listened to what I had in mind and offered reasonable solutions/options. Not building a show truck here, but wanted to some very specific results. Other places kept trying to push, gently, what they were excited about, not what I was excited about. Example: Wanted to know if Google Maps would work with CarPlay. Everyone, and I mean everyone said "it should". Mike said "Let's try it" and he and I took 20 minutes of cable pulling in his demo room to learn it in fact does not. Saved me from 1) spending more than I needed, and 2) having to come back, tell them it doesn't work, and wasting a day having them exchange it. Huge time and frustration saver. Had them quote me a head unit, speakers, amp, sub, tinting, dual backup camera's, remote start, alarm and couple other little things. Quote came within hours and the back and forth on changes was quick and clear. Gave them a verbal, they ordered the stuff and my truck was in the shop 2 days later. They estimated 3 days, and delivered in 3 days. Installation went well and they remembered every little thing I had "oh by the way" mentioned along the way. Had to wait a long time...I asked for their first appointment so I could get in when they opened and get out without having to wait. It didn't work out that way. I showed up 5 mins prior to opening and they were already open. I waited 1.5 hrs after my appointment before they took my car into the bay to tint the windows. Another hour later and they forgot the visor strip and had to take it back into the bay. They have a coupon on Yelp that they honored and offer discounts noted in the store that can't be used with other coupons. My tint looks great- no issues, no bubbles, no need to return. I didn't like having to wait especially with the first appointment, but I took a book and was prepared. I also had a lot of water marks on my seats from their spray which I felt they could have cleaned up...customer service. Work was good, service could be better. read more
