DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE. My son had attended this school for many years and unfortunately the last 2 years we saw a rapid decline in care, communication and conditions of the school. Teachers constantly left, communication between teachers and directors was seldom to none, constant bullying of my son, lack of resources provided and sending my child home to develop mystery illnesses. I had my child sent home with a black eye and was told none of the teachers knew how he got it, was told cameras were reviewed but was later informed I was just told that, and no review of the cameras were done. My child had suffered from bullying from the children, one child told my child that he was going to "have your family killed" and then the child continued to attend the school. Not to mention my child would constantly come home complaining that kids were teasing him and not wanting to play with him and when he told the teachers no one did anything to help resolve the bullying issues. We had been told my child had until 2pm left at the school and would not be allowed to return. This was told to us by a director who called me, requested I leave work early and have a meeting with her the same day, when I arrived she was unavailable for the meeting. I had requested to speak to another person and had discussed my concerns for the second time that my child might be on the spectrum. The lack of communication and choses made by the directors was outright appalling. We had several "teachers" leave or were generally uninterested in teaching or couldn't be bothered to help the kids learn very much needed social-emotional skills. My child was constantly moved around classrooms due to lack of staffing, where there would be one "teacher" with 20-30 kids ranging from ages 2-8 most days. I had also expressed several times that my child does not take naps and asked to make a reasonable accommodation to let him read/draw at nap time to not disturb the other children as well as proving a heads up to the entire class when transitions to another activity would occur as pre-k aged children require to have bridges between activities. They refused to accommodate us multiple times which resulted in full blow meltdowns leaving me to pick my child up almost twice a week and most the time with bruises on his arm from being grabbed. Finally, they had a non-compliance with SNHD as multiple children were attending without proper vaccinations after being audited. Unfortunately over time the quality of service, conditions, carefulness and overall experience with this school rapidly declined. Please do better Source. read more

I can not say enough wonderful things about the staff and establishment. Absolutely, love and trust this center . My daughter started out in early preschool and then with in with in a few months was moved into preschool. They worked hard and with me to be on the same page as her development and potty training . They have an excellent system for keeping parents updated on all things relating to your child . Cameras in all rooms , well working app for daily updates and photos . They answer all calls , requests for paperwork and questions in exceptional time . Parents are welcomed and encouraged to stop in and check on their little one . They have parent teacher conferences and many chances to inter act with teachers and staff . My daughter absolutely loves her school , friends and teachers . Very affordable rates and offer subsidies to those that qualify and a very welcomed military discount . Over all a very clean and well ran facility. It feels like a second home for your child than it does a place of just business. They love and care for the children as they are their own . Many staff have their own children in care there as well . We have been attending since June , they have added a few new faces but the staff has pretty much just stayed the same , seems to be very low turn over . My daughter is over joyed every day to go and sad to leave . I highly recommend if you're looking for a place for your child . They will not disappoint you . read more

I am SO HAPPY I chose Source for my 5-year-old!!! My son has been attending this school for a month now and I cannot say enough great things about this place and the staff. Tanisha has been amazing from day one. My son came from another school and I cannot thank her enough for being so amazing and making the transition so easy for not only my son but my husband and me as well. They have all the patience in the world for questions being asked (even if it is the same question I have asked about 5 times) lol All I hear from my son about his teacher, Ms. Gigi is how much he loves his teacher and (in his own words) how "this is the best school ever!". He comes home every day happy. He asks in the evening if he can go BACK to school and I have to explain to him that they are closed at night lol. He is excited every night to go back to school the next day. Every staff member I have encountered at this school has been SO friendly! We are very happy with Source! The teachers are phenomenal, warm and welcoming. The front office staff is always a pleasure to interact with, asking about my day, making sure my 3 year old feels happy daily. They have great communication using an app, which sends me pictures of my little ones' day and activities. I am pleased with the check in procedures; the door having an alarm/bell and using other protective tools for families. I knew it was meant to be, when our first day there, they were holding an icecream family social. They hold fun activities throughout the month for kids and families. (A snack day, water play day, etc.) I am a local teacher and picky about where to send my babies, so I am blessed to have found them. Source Academy and Early Learning Center has truly been an amazing growing and learning place for my two littles. I have a daughter (3), and a son (just over 1) who both go to Source. Both children are extremely happy when we drop them off. Sometimes I have to tell my daughter to wait her turn because she wants to take off running towards her classroom to be with her friends. My son has recently started doing that as well. They are very clean and follow a lot of safety protocols including a locked front door at all times and fingerprint check in and check out. They also have an app that you can download that allows you to track things like what times your child went to the bathroom, what they ate, what time they napped and also when they are out on their awesome playground. Teachers also can add pictures and comments to it throughout the day which always feels like a treat when you see a picture of your child painting with a big smile on their face coming through to your phone. This is an excellent school and it's reasonably priced. The teachers are great. My daughter tells me of the new things she learns daily. They even persuaded her to eat her green beans. As a working mom, I did an extensively research on preschool academies in Vegas and I'm confident I chose the best. It was a hard transition for us to be separated but Source Academy made this process so much smoother. Daughter has been coming here for 10 months and she is thriving! She so talkative and loves to sing songs. The staff there is super nice and always listens and takes me serious when I have concerns. I wrote a positive review in the past but after many years and many chances I have given up on this daycare: The staff was very nice the downside is that the employees didn't last long and neither the directors. But I stuck around because I didn't want to change daycare for my son since it's a hassle to work with my employers subsidy program. I wanted to continue with them for summer break and I needed to get a copy of their license for my employer to approve my subsidy. I had to call multiple times nd left a message for the director Lauranae and never got a call back. So I called again, was promised a call back . Finally got hold of Lauranae and I specifically told her I been trying to get a hold of her cause I was on the last day to provide the license to my employer, she said she will contact Jerek and will ensure I got what I asked for, unfortunately, that didn't happen . Never got a call back or an email. There has been many other parents that had Ieft this daycare for other reasons and I was very patient with them when they got staff turnover among other things. But the communication part is a failure on their end. It doesn't seem we were important enough to get a response. read more

My husband and I enrolled our son here not too long ago. He is 10 months and is in the infant room with Ms. Marisa and/or Ms.Brittney. We LOVE this learning center. My son is so social now and enjoys going here everyday. When I drop him off he reaches for Marisa and I am glad he is comfortable. ALL of the staff here is amazing. They are clean and have many safety precautions. I can call whenever and check on my son. I get a kid report everyday that tells me when and what he ate, when he napped, all of his diaper changes, and who did all of them. Amazing! read more

We're almost a year in and I'm really happy. I can't describe how it feels to know that your child is being cared for by people who love her. My son has been coming here since December and really enjoys his time here! He has accomplished many things while in the infant class. He's talking more, doing creative artwork , etc... everyday I get an update on how my son is doing . His teachers Ms. Jessica, Victoria and Angie are so patient with my son and you can tell they love what they do . I really feel like my toddler is getting an education here , I always tell him "time to go to school" Unfortunately, they had to close temporarily due to Corona virus but I believe they did the right thing. Most importantly they made sure everyone washed their hands , parents were told to drop off kids at front door. If it was a different experience for other reviewer you have to understand, everyday we are learning about this Coronavirus. I'm an essential worker and I really needed daycare to stay open . But I understand the position they were in. Yes it's a business but I never felt it was a business , it felt like my sons second family away from home. read more

This is a great place. I like that it is a clean environment and the teachers work well with the children. I took my nephew here to get a solid educational foundation before he entered kindergarten, and was pleased with the many things he learned. He can count to the teens and knows the entire alphabet. What I like most is that his speech has improved. I used to have a hard time understanding what he had to say, but now he speaks clearly and his vocabulary has improved. My wife and I toured nearly a dozen daycare centers before deciding on this place, so my disappointment is pretty significant. I wanted to wait some time to digest before reviewing. If you are reading this, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere if you considering this place for an older child. Pros: The price: class size : location was perfect for us. The young lady who works the front desk is fantastic and an excellent saleswoman. The baby/toddler care takers are very sweet and care a lot about each child. The two stars are solely for these factors. Cons: Our first day was a disaster. As any parent knows, leaving your kids with strangers is always a nervous experience. We did not get our promised check up call, and my wife instead had to reach out throughout the day. Despite a week of trying, they never did get the App working correctly (I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt). If they did, teachers do not respond to your comments/questions and they do not send photos. Expect to have zero communication. The older children/4-6 year old "teacher" was the most disinterested, out of touch, completely careless and incompetent child care worker that I've experienced. We never had a "warm fuzzy" from her, but I had hoped she would be better with kids than adults. My 5 year old was told to sleep on a cot with no blanket (we were told one would be provided) and he was not allowed to use the pillow we bought to comfort him for the 2 days that he was enrolled. We were told naps were not mandatory, yet they made them lay still in the dark for 2 hours. What? My son informed us that they learned absolutely nothing at school, and kids were allowed to hit each other. The "teacher" did not care. Kids are left outside for an eternity because there are no planned activities or lessons. Prior to source, my son attended UNLV's pre-K program and the differences were simply staggering from my sons reports. We never did get to hear the other side of the story, because, well, Source does not communicate. Based on this we planned to un-enroll our two boys. At the end of that week, my wife was laid off. Despite only being there for TWO DAYS, they charged another TWO WEEKS due to my wifes layoff. We asked them to work with us and show some compassion. Its not like we had been long term clients. The owner was heartless, and we were forced to pay them for two additional weeks that we did not want, did not need, and could not afford. Read the fine print in the contract, my wife had no idea that she agreed to that - and if you are not a good fit with the incompetent and careless child-care, you will owe them for care you don't want, too. read more

We found Source Academy after a very unfortunate experience with another provider in town. From the beginning I could tell they really cared for my son and wanted us to have the best possible experience. The staff are open, honest and accommodating to any requests and concerns I have. Miss Angela, Miss Marissa and Miss Jaqueline have always welcomed us with a smile since the beginning. My son loves his teachers, especially Miss Angela, and always smiles when I drop him off. I fully trust them to take the best possible care of him. After our previous experience I was nervous to try again with another facility but Source has surpassed my expectations of what center daycare could be for our family. read more

Worst experience ever! My husband and I decided to enroll our child at Source Academy & Early Learning because they were fairly close to our home. That was definitely a mistake! They make you believe that they have the children's best interest in mind. When in all reality they care about the government assistance they receive per child. There's no cohesion with the Front desk personnel. They always give you different answers depending on who is there. When it comes time to pay they ask you, "how much do you owe?" instead of just pulling your account up and being professional about it. Most of the teachers/caregivers seemed miserable and could probably use a refresher course on dealing with children. The food they serve is definitely mediocre at best. Most of the food is canned food nothing is fresh, nor as they claim it is. They use an app called life cubby, where you're supposed to be able to communicate with the teacher at any time. They claim you'll receive pictures and updates on your child throughout the day, which never happens. I had to call the front desk to ask about my child at times because I wouldn't receive a response from anyone. It was definitely a nightmare seeing my baby cry with fear in his eyes every time he was dropped off. Due to their lack of caregiving and poor skills we decided to go elsewhere. My son didn't need an "adjustment period" as Source Academy called it. read more

This was the first place we ever left our 2-year old daughter because we thought it was a great choice for daycare. We pulled her out after only 2 days of attending. She came home the first day acting like a different person--she was violent and aggressive, and had never acted this way before. We decided to give it another day but after the second time it was an easy decision to take her out. I had asked the staff how she did with her potty training and they told me they didn't know if she used the toilet or not...??? WHAT?! And when I picked her up she had a overflowing poop-filled diaper on (we don't use diapers and told them not to). It looked like she had been sitting in it for hours because it was caked onto her skin, and she developed a terrible rash. I couldn't believe it! They neglected my child, and her behavior was far worse than it was before taking her. This place is also understaffed and overflowed with children. There aren't enough adults to keep track of the kids. read more

I just wanted to let it be known that during this world wide pandemic Coronavirus, Source academy is forcing the hands of parents and caregivers to unenroll their children. When speaking with management the first thing they state is they are privately owned and they have employees they need to pay. All businesses small and large are also trying to survive as is individuals. This pandemic is new and hard for the world nor does anyone have control over what is happening regarding Coronavirus. Tonya stated they are going to be open until it's required for them to shut down and they are following the CDC guidelines. I personally don't trust that they are. When Tonya was asked how the are going to insure social distancing for such small children since that is being requested and how many children will be allowed in the classroom including the teacher since there should only be 10 or less in a room and everyone at least 6 feet apart. Her response was we haven't had many children coming in and at that time there was about 6 kids in the pre school class. Tonya was not able to give a clear answer on how many people will be allowed in the classroom. She then stated you don't have to bring your child in and you can unenroll them without penalty and if the child is out for two weeks you can re-enroll then without paying a new registration fee but if the child is out for 3 weeks or more you will have to pay a new registration fee. I understand they are a business and need to make money but in a crisis that no one has control over is unenrolling families that are trying protect their children the solution. Tonya then stated I can see if corporate can make special arrangements for you after she was annoyed with my questions and stating I was being forced to unenroll my child during a crisis situation I shouldn't be faced with pay or unenroll options during a world wide pandemic no one has control over. I should be allowed to protect myself, child and family without penalty at Source Academy. Families that are already stressed due to the covid-19 epidemic that could be affected personally now have to hope there is a space for their children when this epidemic is over because they chose to keep themselves, their families and those they come in contact with safe by keeping their children home. There is no way of knowing who has been exposed or has the virus since not everyone has symptoms it could be staff, children or parents dropping off or picking up. I believe Source academy response to covid-19 epidemic is unethical and inhuman. I understand not all families have alternative child care and I'm sure if they did they wouldn't bring their children into the daycare. Families that do have alternative childcare are being faced with the decision of bringing their child in and them possibly being exposed to Coronavirus and putting their entire family at risk so they don't possibly lose their child care or continuing to pay to keep from unenrolling their child during a crisis. Then you have families that may have been laid off due to the pandemic that don't have the means to continue to pay but now also have the stress of possibly not having childcare when they are allowed to return back to work or try to keep paying with what limited funds they have to insure they still have childcare whenever the epidemic is over. What happened to integrity and compassion. Is money more important than morality. Source academy has shown the community they serve making money is more important than the safety and well-being of the children and families they serve. read more

The staff here is amazing! They were patient and kind to my daughter as she struggled with separation anxiety. She's nearly adjusted now, she definitely loves her teachers! They welcome me to stay in the room as long as I'd like so I've been able to really see how they handle difficult situations. This has made me even more confident that they create a safe and emotionally healthy place for my daughter. Another thing I appreciate is how well they work together, I see the staff lean on each other often. I have so much gratitude for the director and teachers here. read more
