We also appreciate all the help from Ms. Ashlee who keeps our kiddo active first thing in the morning after drop off. You can tell how much care goes into the school, the children, and creating a community for the families. One of my favorite things about Primrose has always been the events! I swear I have loved and attended just about every single one and I genuinely look forward to them. They do such a great job making things special for the kids and giving families opportunities to be involved and make memories together. Of course, over several years there have been a few hiccups here and there -- that is going to happen anywhere -- but what has always mattered to me is the overall experience and how things are handled. I have toured other schools and looked at other options over the years, and nothing has compared to Primrose for us. It's crazy to think that my little toddler is now getting ready for kindergarten. My son started around 2.5 years old and is now 4.5 years old. This school has been such a positive influence on his learning and development. We've had Miss Carla as the director for these 2 years and she's so caring and nurturing and you can really tell what a positive influence she has on both the school staff and the children. The staff helped potty train my son all the way to writing his name, reading, doing math, and they put extra effort into meeting his needs and ensuring he has the support he needs. The staff ALWAYS report any incidents no matter how small, and I have never felt like there's been an issue that I didn't know about. And any time we did run into issues (which were not often), his teachers and Miss Carla always prioritized an effective resolution in a timely manner. I have ALWAYS felt like my son is safe and in caring hands at this school. They have an app that I use to communicate with the teachers, they always keep me updated on my sons activities, nutrition, etc. My husband has been deployed multiple times which has been hard on my son, but the staff here always have been empathetic and understanding and supportive of my son during those hard times. Miss Carla treats all the children with unconditional love, and I'm very thankful for the positive influence she's had on our lives. She set the bar so high, I know when we move it's going to be really hard to find another school that will meet our expectations thanks to the high standard that she's set. We toured so many schools in the area and this was the only one that felt right. The care the teachers put in and the director is absolutely phenomenal. We loved her main teacher but she did transition out of the service. Her new main teachers are Dana and Karissa and I adore both of them! There are students scared to come to school because some of these students are so rude? Ive seen some kids get bullied so much the past couple years and if i was them i wouldn't want to come to school at all. The education here i feel is a bit below average, students here are smart but some teachers are bad at explaining and shy students are afraid to ask for help. I'm a fast learner but sometimes I get stuck on something and just never learn the topic. Teachers need to focus on certain students that may need the extra help so possibly give more tutoring opportunities for students? I have been in trouble at the school before and I would say it was handled nicely. I mean staff were encouraging me to open up about what happened and didn't yell at me or anything but im not short tempered like some students which is probably making some of us scared to talk to you guys because you cant keep your composure when students get upset or angry at you or someone else which makes me pretty upset. I mean I have recently moved to a school people would consider "gangster" but it already seems much better than Somerset Aliante. Here's a more detailed and accurate review. My daughter cried intensely at drop-off and repeatedly said she did not want to attend this preschool. She cried so much that her nose became extremely dry from dried mucus sitting on her nose for long periods during the school day. I filled out a form for them to start applying Aquaphor on her nose. When Id come to get her, her nose was so dry and red that it started to peel. She was only 2. I assumed she'd receive assistance because many toddlers that age still need help wiping their noses.... When I picked her up, the Aquaphor container consistently appeared untouched despite my completing a form authorizing its use. She was in Ms. Becca's class during part of her enrollment. Then they switched her to a different class and I cannot remember the other teachers names. During her time there, she came home with scratches on multiple occasions that were not there before school, and staff told me they did not know how the scratches happened. I asked to see the cameras and was advised that they did not record. She also came home with a bruised eye while attending this preschool. Around this same period, she began wetting the bed, which was unusual for her, and she started saying things that were unexpected and concerning to me as a parent. After wearing a dress for picture day, she said things such as, "Let me see under your pretty little dress." Combined with her extreme distress about attending, I decided to withdraw her after about a month. Looking back, I wish I had paid more attention to the crying. I assumed it was normal because this was her first school experience and thought she would eventually get used to it. After transferring to another preschool, the daily crying stopped and she is now excited to attend school. It is still crazy to me how changing schools made such a difference. This was my family's experience and the reasons I chose to remove my daughter from the program.
