Huge shoutout to the team at Sourdough & Co who helped me pull together a work lunch for 12 people on short notice! Their sandwiches were tasty with a great variety of proteins for different dietary needs. Not many sandwich places use sourdough as the sandwich bread which was also makes them stand out. Their staff also followed all the specifications (cheese, sauce, and spreads on the side) which allowed everyone to customize sandwiches to their liking. The shop itself is located under the Enclave campus housing with some seating inside. One major pain point was their ordering / POS system because it asks you to make specifications for EACH sandwich when I would much rather make a selection that would apply to my whole order (I.e. all cold, all normal vegetable fixings, these types of cheese, etc.). Would order again for myself, but was pretty complicated for a group order.

Really, really tasty Italian flatbread, but pretty pricey! For $20 I expected something twice as big. Nevertheless, it's soooooo good that I'll probably plunk down the cash for it next time too. I'm a sucker for good quality.

I can't give a rating of 3 or better because they messed up on almost every single item I ordered. 1st - I asked if I could only have romaine lettuce on my salad without mixed green and they said yes. But I guess not! 2nd- I asked for wheat bread but came in sourdough. This time, I had to request for a redo. 3rd- my turkey pesto sandwich barely tasted any pesto. It was dry as hell. Spent over $70 here and Mezzo was wayyyy better and worth the value.

I had a veggie sandwich from sourdough and co. I placed the order via snackpass for pick up. The inside of the restaurant was clean and not too busy. I was greeted by the staff and they quickly prepared my order. The veggies in the sandwich tasted very fresh and the bread was very soft and delicious. They were not at all skimpy as you can see! The only thing I didn't like was their house sauce. It is way to sweet for a sandwich. This is probably the sweetest sandwich i've ever had which caught me off guard. They also add carrots to their sandwiches which was a first for me but they added a nice crunch. However, when paired with the sweet sauce they didn't really fit in well. If I come back, I'd get it without the house sauce.

The chowder is definitely worth coming here for a quick bite! Be sure to order on SnackPass for 10% off an order of $25. The bowl with two pieces of sourdough was around ~ $7 after taxes. The wait took a bit but it was well worth it. The chowder itself was really good, it was thick, creamy and had a good ratio of soup to clam. The bread was also really good with the soup! It had a good crunch to it and fit perfectly with the chowder itself. That said, it's near campus and a good walking distance for great clam chowder! They have other selections which include subs, sandwiches, and other great sourdough makes and pairs. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

Been here a couple times now, I feel like the sandwiches are solid but the only reason I would get a sandwich here instead of Cheese N Stuff around the corner (which has literally the same stuff for half the price) is because Sourdough & Co. is open later. I also tried the clam chowder which I felt was flavorful without being too heavy. Slightly expensive still, but where else are you gonna get good clam chowder around Berkeley?

At first glance, Sourdough & Co. doesn't look like much, but I decided to try it with a friend regardless. I usually don't prefer sandwiches but as I scanned the menu, my eyes were hooked on the Caprese under the specialty sandwiches. Basil pesto aioli and balsamic vinaigrette in a sandwich?! I'm in! Ingredients were very fresh and I loved the mozzarella cheese in quarter inch slices. We also ordered a clam chowder, which was only $9. Unlike other sourdough bowls I've had which are so hard to the point that you can't bite through, this bowl was relatively soft with a slight crunch. It had lots of soup that was filling to share between two. A very clean environment with fast service and attentive staff who are super willing to help -- what more could you ask for? Come give it a try! I'll be back to get their chocolate chip cookies and other sandwiches.

Great, fresh sandwiches and friendly service are all things to look forward to at Sourdough & Co. It's located in Berkeley's Enclave student housing just off Telegraph Ave., a really convenient location if you're on the street looking for lunch! I ordered the 6. Pastrami Sandwich, which was so good. I love how the pastrami tastes. In the past, I've ordered the smoked brisket sandwich, which was just as good. If there's any room for improvement, I'd say it's in pricing. There are other spots nearby that offer sandwiches of the same size and quality for a little cheaper. Other than that, it's great! If you're looking for a new favorite sandwich spot, head over to Sourdough & Co.!

So we ordered from here for the very first time yesterday afternoon and wow, our sandwiches were both really well done. The workers here really paid attention to detail of the way that we wanted our sandwiches. Only reason im giving this place 4 stars versus 5 is because our total was pretty pricey but we highly recommend them! We will definitely come back here and try more on the menu! read more

My wife says, "Quality." Yes, sandwiches here are ultimate quality. Sad that they're across "people's park" and around the corner from Telegraph.... the main throughway near the campus as it hides them from general public. Quite the disappointing customer experience. A double order of the same item went through on Snackpass. They caught onto the mistake and made one item for me. However, I found that I was charged for the double order and went back to ask them to create the order that had been already paid for instead of issuing a refund. Very doubtful and asked me to wait 15 min while they reviewed security footages to ensure that only one item was made. Came back and said they didn't have time to review the footages all the way and reluctantly made my order. Great subs, but not a fun experience. Response to manager: It has been a week, not a month. I love the food at this restaurant, but the service could use some help. I have ordered from here multiple times, but last time I came here they messed up my order. I added in avocado as well as pesto aioli and mustard, but got none of those in my sandwich. I let them know because I paid extra, but the employee was a bit defensive and I just said that it was fine even though I opened the sandwich and the other employee agreed there was none in there. I recently ordered lunch here and ordered a cup of clam chowder which was a whopping $10.99, yes, I said a CUP. But their clam chowder is usually delicious. Unfortunately, the potatoes are raw and inedible. There really should be done type of quality control to ensure the food they sell can be consumed. Epic waste of $10.99. The roast beef sandwich was delicious as usual. Their bread is amazing. Just beware the clam chowder. read more

Tried this place for the first time today and WOW!!! The warm fresh baked sourdough bread is definitely the star . The quality of the meat was spot on and the veggies were fresh. All the staff were so polite and friendly. Sandwiches are one of my favorite foods. I've tried the most recommended spots all over the Bay Area. I slept on this spot for a little bit because I was shamefully influenced by the lack of reviews. I am glad I ended up giving Sourdough & Co a shot, because I ate one of the best hoagies I've had in a while! I ordered the Turkey/Pastrami on their fresh sourdough and it was awesome. Their bread was so good and the meat was fresh and delicious. All around great. Gonna be hard to beat for the price and convenience. Super easy to order online and the team had my order ready quick. I've been going to the Dublin and Livermore Sourdough sandwich shop since they opened. The food is always great, as is the service. Since I live in Livermore, I go to this place almost daily. The owners are so nice and always greet customers when they come in. I had them cater a huge pickleball event for our Tri-Valley Pickleball Club and they did an outstanding job. I highly recommend them as the premier sandwich shop in Livermore and the Tri-Valley. read more

Just moved to Berkeley for college and my apartment isn't finished yet, so I've been going around finding some lunch and dinner spots to hold me over till I get access to a kitchen and this place takes the cake for best lunch spot. During my first visit I had a clam chowder bread bowl and the sourdough does indeed take the spotlight here! Today I tried the smoked brisket sandwich and I'm surprised at how fresh yet filling it was. Not overly stuffed with meat, it was incredibly balanced and the flavor of the sourdough bread still shined through! The cookies are a must try as well! read more

Craving a sando and came across this great place. The Garlic pesto turkey sandwich was good! The turkey was fresh, sourdough bread was baked to perfection and crispy. Added bacon and avocado. Very heavy though with the lettuce and tomato, but overall very tasty. I like how they give you the option of 4", 6" and 8" sandwich size. Very fulfilling and you can share the sandwich with anyone. the clam chowder is really good, highly recommend! i got the bowl size and it came with three slices of sourdough bread. my friends ordered the bread bowl and it looked like the serving size was really generous. service was pretty fast and kind. seating area is very clean and nice, lots of tables and nice atmosphere. definitely coming back again whenever im craving clam chowder! read more

Ordering online is really smooth but pay attention to what you receive at pick up. I ordered 2 chicken Caesar salads and 2 lemonades but didn't get the drinks till I noticed they weren't there and neither of the salads had chicken in them. :/ such a stinker because I was super excited and to pay $11 for no protein isn't ideal. I went there today for the first time in a couple of years, ordered a regular size basic ruben sandwich (no add-ons) and was ok paying nearly $18 dollars for just the sandwich until they handed it to me. what I got was a small 6" sub. When did their subs shrink?? in this economy we are all struggling. I get it, things cost more but Craves' owner is not doing his patrons a service by charging them premiums while cutting back on the meals. If you're ok paying that much for a shrunken sub, more power to you. I l, however, will not be going back there.

It took well over what felt like 20-30 minutes from our 1st order to our 2nd Chef's Choice dish. That negatively impacted our experience, but it happens. I saw their sign on the corner of telegraph and haste st. I'm a vegetarian and it's hard to find good vege options. I came in not expecting much, but to my surprise, they had a couple of different vege options. I tried the vege sandwich, and it was delicious! The bread was freshly baked. My sandwich was loaded, they aren't stingy on their toppings like some of the other places I've tried. I couldn't even finish my whole sandwich, because I got full. I kept the rest for dinner. I ordered a bowl of khatti with chili. The food came out in less than 3 minutes and was at a good temperature. The chili was full of flavor and excellent. The sourdough bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, making it easy to devour most of the bread bowls after eating it. There is also a good variety of drinks, even good tea options. There are limited vegetarian and vegan options, but I haven't explored that section yet. Overall, a good place to eat while you're in Berkeley. read more
