The "curry sauce" tasted off. Nothing like any curry I've ever had. A funk to it, a little sour. It's not a thick pizza, but still it was a bit doughy/underdone under the topping. I took one bite and couldn't do it. Not sure if I got a bad cook and the wrong sauce or what. Desi Sticks were not good but significantly better than the pizza. There are a lot of Indian pizza options in the east bay. This was the worst one I have tried. Namaste is the Indian pizza place I would recommend.

thin crust small (10") tandoori chicken pizza & mango lassi
    Rachel Z.

i ordered a tandoori chicken and mango lassi for pickup. the service was good and the pizza just barely reached my expectations. the flavor was not overwhelming, and was somewhat more on the subtle side. although i enjoyed it, i'd probably want to try a different flavor as it was not as bold as i was expecting it to be.

Curry Pizza House is a new restaurant that aims to combine rich Indian flavors with a common food staple: pizza. After walking by this new spot so many times on the way to campus, I had to stop by to try their pizzas. I ordered through the Snackpass app, and it was ready on time. My friend and I shared a medium Tandoori Chicken Pizza. The pizza dough was solid; the crust was crispy, and the dough had a nice chew. The Tandoori Chicken pizza had the following toppings: tandoori chicken, onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Overall, the flavors of the tandoori chicken was solid, and I will be coming back to try their other flavors.

Had a big group to order for and wanted to try this new business with a generous coupon they sent to my place. Ordering online was a simple process and they even have a rewards program for future discounts. I appreciated the fact they had a wide range of offerings for everyone from folks who like classic pizzas to fusion options with Indian dishes. Very simple storefront and they were right on time making my order. Even got to meet the owner and hear his story, very kind man and even got a taste of their mango lassi. Favorites of the night was the palak paneer and butter chicken, but the desi bbq chicken and curried vegetable (spicy!) pizzas were good as well. Hoping to try their wings later on and sample other pizza creations. Would definitely visit again for the great experience I had

    The evening feast.

Happy New Year! Let's get this Yelping year off to a good start! Two of my favorite foods are pizza and Indian food, so Indian pizza? Sign me up! I had been introduced to Indian pizza when my office in San Francisco had ordered some, and I was hooked. But for whatever reason I had never thought to seek out Indian pizza in the east bay, where I live. I finally tried to give it a shot based on the enticing menu and good Yelp reviews of Curry Pizza House (Berkeley location). During our rainy, windy, and stormy January, I was reluctant to order delivery because I didn't want to put any drivers in danger, but I was also hungry! As the weather calmed down, I placed the order and provided a generous tip given the inclement weather. Via Uber Eats, I ordered three personal pizzas: butter chicken, curry veggie, tandoori chicken. And an order of Desi Spicy Pesto Sticks. Everything was very tasty, and ensured I'd be ordering from there again. I ordered three personal-size pizzas (6 small slices) in order to try different toppings and sauces. I was most excited to try the butter chicken pizza on a shahi sauce because I love butter chicken in general. Unfortunately, the pizza was not very butter chicken-y to me, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The sauce and chicken we're still nicely spiced and flavorful and tasty on its own, even though I would not not say it reminded me enough of butter chicken. The tandoori chicken pizza on a white sauce, on the other hand was, spectacular. The white sauce was mild enough to let the juicy chicken and other toppings really shine. This is a pizza I would order again for sure 10/10. The curry veggie pizza on a curry sauce was also very flavorful, and although I didn't like it as much as he tandoori chicken, I did like it more than the butter chicken. The Desi Garlic Sticks were a nice addition. Because I was filling up on all the pizzas, it was a little difficult to appreciate them, but they were tasty and had quite the kick to them, living up to their spicy name. And I like spicy, so be warned! Overall, I really enjoyed my delivery experience from Curry Pizza House and can't wait to try more of their pizzas!

    Large Chicken Tikka Pizza

The Bay is certainly no stranger to fusion food: a beautiful, culinary product of the meshing of various ethnic cuisines. Sometimes fusion restaurants can be gimmicky or uninspired, but the new kid on the block, Curry Pizza House, is no such thing. As the name suggests, Curry Pizza House dishes out pies with an Indian flare. Some pizzas feature butter chicken bases or are topped with generous amounts of cubed Chicken Tikka. Regardless of which Indian pizza you order, they're bound to be a crowd-pleaser. I ordered the large Chicken Tikka pizza which was more than enough to feed two hungry students along with a Caesar salad to ease my pizza-adoring, vegetable-tolerating conscience. The pizza was amazing as was expected from a restaurant whose kitchen always emanates delicious aromas. The crust was incredibly crispy and light, and the toppings harmonized with the white sauce perfectly. What might be even more stellar is the service. The kind man who took our order and handed us our pizza treated us with immense hospitality, giving us water cups, a pizza slicer, and paper plates. Water cups usually incur a surcharge (thanks city of Berkeley), but the man happily handed us water cups gratis. There's a certain restaurant (coincidentally also on Telegraph) whose name I won't drop -but know that it rhymes with BomBom- that always has rude employees who scoff and demand $.30 when you ask for a water cups, so the Curry Pizza House employee was a breath of fresh air for me and my boyfriend. I don't mind a legally-required surcharge, but I do mind egregious service. Luckily, service is stellar at Curry Pizza House, and the food is bomb too. Will be back for the butter chicken pizza!

Desi Garlic Sticks, Half 'n' Half Pizza, Masala Chips
    Jennifer T.

Stopped by because I received a coupon in the mail and my life was changed. We decided to try the desi garlic sticks, a large half and half pizza with chicken tikka and curry chicken masala, and the masala chips. The prices are a bit expensive, but it's definitely worth it for the amount of toppings they put on. The pizza crust had a great texture, the sauces underneath complemented the toppings well, and they put a lot of toppings on without it feeling overwhelming. The chips are more like slices of potato. They have a lot of spices on them and it was very delicious. Four of us ate this and felt full afterward. I will be coming back again!

Get 25% off if you order from here or in person (offer expires in April 2023)
    Queena Z.

We ordered from here because we saw the grand opening sign and thought the food would be at its peak since it's the grand opening so they would want to have customers come back. We ordered through Snackpass and there was a 15% deal but turns out there's an even better deal if you go in person or order through the QR code in my picture for 25% off. We got an extra large half and half pizza with chicken tikka and tandoori chicken. First of all, the pizza was indeed extra large. We shared it among two people and had three slices left over. When I opened the box, I honestly thought they messed our order up because I couldn't tell if it was actually half and half. Both sides looked the same and I still have no idea even after eating it. It honestly just tasted like chicken pizza. I could taste a little bit of Indian spice flavors in some bites but it wasn't strong enough for me to distinguish. I was a bit disappointed because I thought it would taste more unique. It doesn't mean it's bad but just nothing that special. Also, they don't sell individual slices but they do have small whole pizza enough for one person.

    Malai chicken and Shahi Paneer
    Richa P.

I love indian twist to pizzas and this one does justice to it! The ingredients seem fresh and each bite is a burst of flavor! Also they seem to have definitely improved their pizzas from when they opened a year ago (it wasn't as interesting then and Namaste pizza was definitely better from a taste perspective) but their pizzas now have definitely seen a big boost. So if you gave up on them on their early, I'd suggest giving them another try - you won't be disappointed

Tiniest chicken toppings I ever seen

I've gotten pizza from this location about 4 times. This last order may be my last. What used to set this pizzeria apart was their abundant toppings. I'll attach a pic showing the tiny slivers of chicken. All I got was basically a cheese pizza. Please owners add chicken we can actually see without a magnifying glass.

My sister and I ordered the curry chicken masala pizza it was easily one of the most tasty pizzas we've ever had. It was topped with fresh red onion and cilantro and packed with flavor. We also ordered their lemon pepper wings which were delicious as well!! We can't wait to explore more of the their specialty pizzas :) Their staff and overall environment was out of this world. Everyone was so kind and it really made our day. Thank you so much & we hope to return as soon as possible!!!

BEST PIZZA EVER bro I've been studying for finals and my roommate and I were dead. This pizza brought us back to life with beautiful indulgent flavors and a wonderful after taste. My stomach did not even hurt which it usually does from pizza... but this stuff is magical. And the service was also incredible he was so sweet. eat here for life.

Whenever I'm in search of something good to eat in the Bay Area I always check TikTok first. My search directed me to Southside Station! It's a small quaint establishment with a very quiet vibe. When I entered, there was a table of three gentlemen sitting there enjoying their selections. I checked in with them and got suggestions on what I should order. They made a recommendation, but I chose something totally different. I ordered the wings and garlic noodles with a side of brussels sprouts. This place is known for their fried chicken because it's so extra crunchy. They definitely did deliver on the crunch and the flavor. The garlic noodles were very garlic, which is what I liked, and the brussels sprouts were sautéed in a honey glaze. I decided to enjoy my food inside the restaurant as opposed to sitting outside where they have two tables set up. The young lady that took my order was ever so sweet and kind. She was the only one I saw in the restaurant behind the counter, but there may have been others working further in the back. There was an error on my order and she was quick to correct the error with an apology and a smile. The portion size was decent. I ended up taking home leftovers.

For the appetizers, we got the caprese salad ($19), cheesy garlic bread ($14), chicken wings ($18), and BBQ pork riblets ($18). The caprese salad was one of my favorites. The spring mix was super fresh, and even though I'm not the biggest cheese fan, I really liked the fresh mozzarella. The vinaigrette had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors, making this a great spring or summer salad. The BBQ pork riblets and chicken wings were both a little dry. I liked the seasoning on the riblets, while the chicken wings were a bit lighter in flavor. The cheesy garlic bread was, as expected, super cheesy! I didn't realize the roasted garlic was served on the side, and personally wasn't the biggest fan of its flavor, but the focaccia itself had a great texture. We also shared the Aries ($22), Mercury ($21), and Cassiopeia ($25) pizzas. The Aries was a classic pepperoni pizza with a nice thin crust, and the Mercury was a margherita pizza. I liked the fresh tomatoes, although I wish there had been more basil. The Cassiopeia was my favorite of the three, and I can definitely see why it's so popular. The BBQ sauce was super flavorful and paired really well with the chicken and onions. Banchan rotation is solid, kimchi was fresh. Service was friendly and the outdoor seating works well on a nice day. Unpretentious neighborhood spot, no gimmicks, food just tastes like someone actually made it. 5 stars, honest Korean food and convenient parking which in Berkeley is basically two stars on its own

Don't get me wrong, spoon is still solid but it didn't hit the same craving this time around. Complimentary fishcake is no longer available, it was there when I last went 5 months ago However they gave us 2 sets of side dishes, so that's a plus The Seafood Pancake did not taste the same, there is new plating, the portions were smaller and thinner , which is understandable, but it wasn't as good. There was less flavor. The Galbi was solid and that has not changed. Good taste and portion for the price. The Spicy Pork in the Bibimbap was not spicy and did not have much flavor. Maybe I came on an off day, but I like spoon for their solid food, not really for the vibes or ambiance. I drive 25-35 minutes each way for their food, but after this experience and with recent inflation for all Korean à la carte restaurants, I'd rather eat at ayce kbbq.
