Need some quick eats while in Fairfield..this is a nice little eatery on the side of the mall across from JC Penny. I was hesitant to try..but to my astonishment it turned out to be pretty good. I mean if you mess up bread and soup you shouldn't be in business. Amazing sourdough bread. . I had the meal combo with cracked pepper turkey sandwich and clam chowder w/ a drink. You can chose three different sizes for the sandwich, a 4 Inch should safice. If not, you can go bigger and adding that soup is perfecto!! There is also a variety of chips and cookies to finish of your meal. Prices are reasonable for what you're getting...I'd go back...Ciao for now

Was greeted as soon as I entered the store. Young lady at the cashier assisted me with picking my sandwich of choice which was a pastrami sandwich. Service was quick. The establishment was clean and stocked with chips. Took my order to go. My sandwich was delicious. Plenty of pastrami in the sandwich.

I'm often weary of sandwich chains. Mainly because you loose the freshness and those good ole small business vibes. But this is giving me faith. The bread was fresh, hence the name Sourdough & Co. It didn't taste like some frozen dough that was popped in a toaster oven that morning. The same can be said for the sandwich ingredients (the turkey meat, cheese, lettuce etc.). Everything was tasty and had a fresh feeling. Also great customer service. The staff was incredible friendly and efficient. I had a rather complicated order for 5 people and they got every single sandwich order done to a tee.

    Turkey and salami meal

Food- the bread was fresh and perfectly toasted. The French dip, Turkey and salami, clam chowder were all so delicious. Service- the service staff were all so friendly. They made recommendations and checked up on us. Ambiance- pretty chill and quiet, most of the customers order to go. So when you dine in, there are tables to choose from. The service staff were so on top of keeping the place clean. I saw them sweep, wipe down tables, and clean surfaces during our visit. That's definitely something worth noting! Go visit Sourdough & Co! You won't regret it.

2 chips? Why? This really is sad. Why is this ok to treat customers like this?

The sandwich taste great. The customer service (Manager) and the owner who did not reply to private feed back about the on going (won't cut your sandwitch drama, not so much). Don't like to do 1 star, yet here it is. I requested a option of follow up instead of going onto yelp but there was no follow up. The Manager likes to talk over all customers as they order. Annoying but whatever. The part that I have dietary restrictions and need to take small bites and focus on the protein first was explained. This Manager thinks the shop is her personal stand up comedy stage. Being rude. Trying to be funny. 5 times I asked them to cut my sandwich 5 times they didnt. 5 different visits. Today on doordash I received this.

This is what getting ripped off looks like. $20 for a 6 inch sandwich with nothing but meat and cheese and a cup of soup from a bag.

September 12th, 2002 @ 6:40 pm. I'm having a hard time remembering a worse experience getting a sandwich. Completely unwelcoming environment and employees. First, why is your store 40 degrees when it's only 72 outside? I can only assume it's the same reason every single chair in the place is stacked up and all the tables are pushed up against the wall during open hours. Obviously, you just don't want people to spend money there. And speaking of money, what makes you think your sub-par 6 inch sandwich with 1 oz. of meat, 2 slices of cheese, and a 6 oz. cup of reheated soup from a bag is worth $20? But I digress... I placed my order for a French dip and the Latina girl told me it would be 15 minutes. 15 minutes for a pizza? Sure. For a fresh prepared meal at a restaurant ok. But for a 6 inch fast food sandwich with literally 2 toppings and a cup of soup? I could have had that made in 2-3 minutes flat... Especially considering I was the ONLY customer there. And true to form, it took 15 minutes. She didn't bother to ask if I wanted my food there or to go. So, I guess they just assumed I was getting it to go because they bagged it up and didn't even bother to bring it to the table where I was sitting. Instead they called for me like I was a dog. So I asked, "are we not allowed to eat here?". That's when the white girl responded with attitude like I had just insulted her mother and said, "I mean, I GUESS you can eat here". You GUESS??? No, this isn't a quiz show, it's a simple yes or no question. You either have a policy or you don't. And if you do have a policy, it should be posted on the front door. And if you don't know if you have a policy, then you're too stupid to be employable. I then look at both girls like they'd lost their damn minds and the Latina girl says "you can eat here", as if she was doing me some sort of favor. At that point I was too furious to even bother so I left. I later realized that they were closing in a few minutes. Yet not once did anyone mention that. Had they simply said, "just so you know we're closing at 7:00 would you mind taking your order to go?", I gladly would have. But they didn't because clearly they have no home training, work training, communication skills, manners, or the common sense God gave a hamster. But perhaps the most absurd part is the nerve you have to issue receipts with a "TIP" line when none of these people even deserve to have a job. No longer a problem since I'll never be back. But if you're the manager of this place, you better take a long hard look at the caliber of people you're hiring and the quality of the customer service training you're providing them with. Good luck staying in business with your current model.

My go to is always the banh mi. The grilled chicken and pork are my favorite and at the current price of $7-8, I find them a great lunch or dinner option. They are a good sized sandwich and I usually eat one half at a time. Their chicken wings had a great and satisfying crunch even after taking them home. The insides were super tender and juicy. The sauce is a great balance of sweet and heat. I recommend this place to all my friends visiting the area and are craving so Vietnamese food. For me, a great bowl of phở is about the relationship between the broth and its ingredients. While the broth has potential, the chicken is equally important--it should be tender, moist, and freshly prepared, complementing the depth and fragrance of the broth rather than becoming an afterthought. Unfortunately, the chicken here fell somewhat short. The texture lacked the tenderness and juiciness I was hoping for, which ultimately diminished an otherwise promising bowl. There is a good foundation here, and I would love to see the same attention given to the chicken as to the broth. A more carefully prepared, higher-quality cut of meat could make a meaningful difference and elevate the bowl considerably. In short: the broth has potential. Now, upgrade the chicken game.

The inside of the restaurant looks nice and people seem to be enjoying their meals, so I was excited to get my food. As I was walking out to my car with it, I realized it was leaking on the ground. I lifted it up and as you can see in the photo the bag was full of liquid. I'm really not even sure where all of the liquid came from. I assume it was excess liquid that cooked out of the frozen vegetables. When I got to my car and opened the bag to try to deal with the mess , the smell of the food was bad. I was hungry, so I tried eating it but it was bland and had a slimy texture so I ate the top of the steamed rice ( that had no liquid on it) and threw the rest away. I don't know if I just caught them on a bad day, but I would not return and I definitely recommend dining in if you are going to eat at this establishment.

We did the AYCE and I definitely got my money's worth. The service was courteous and prompt. The ambiance was typical for a K-BBQ spot- the open floor plan makes for a slightly louder place, but at least the music was not blasting so loudly that conversation was hindered. The menu has meat and other dishes that can be ordered a la carte, if all you can eat is not your thing. (Or if you don't want to have to grill your own meat.) We ordered: -Pork belly (regular, thin sliced, and soy garlic. All great, but the thin sliced has always been my favorite). -Marinated beef (tasty). -LA ribs (well marinated and not too salty). -Bulgogi and the Hawaiian bulgogi (the Hawaiian was good and I like the pineapple chunks to grill,, but preferred the regular because it was less sweet). -Shrimp (head and shell on, be prepared to peel and de-vein after grilling). -Marinated baby octopus (one of my son's favorite things he had there). Some highlights that will bring me back: -Sliced pickled radish to wrap the meat for a low carb option. -Glutinous rice paper to wrap the meat (nice and chewy texture, great touch to the marinated meat). -ALL of the banchan was spot on. Zingy kimchi, firm broccoli, not too sweet fishcakes, and seasoned bean sprouts were among our faves. -Last but not least, the crispy chicken wings. Crispy like Korean fried chicken should be with delicious sauces (we tried the sweet and spicy, and the soy garlic). Worth it to come back just for that. We will definitely be going back soon!

In light of this, getting a sauce or flavor to dip things in would've been great though I don't remember if it was an option when I was originally ordering.
