The Napa Deli and I go way back. Years ago, I worked in the business center nearby, and my coworkers and I would walk over here for breakfast or lunch two or three times a week. Ever since my company transitioned to working from home, I don't get to visit nearly as often. Now it's more like once every year or two, so I decided it was time to come back and see if my old favorites were still as good as I remembered. I ordered two items that I used to get all the time: the tri-tip breakfast burrito and the Southwest tri-tip wrap. The restaurant is still a great place to grab breakfast or lunch. They have comfortable booths, a few tables, bar seating, and music playing in the background that gives the place a nice vibe. The menu is displayed on the wall along with their daily specials. One thing I noticed is that my old favorites weren't listed anymore, so I had to ask for them specifically. They also sell some of their food cold so you can take it home and heat it up later, which is a nice option if you're craving their food. The cashier was friendly, but I think she was new because she wasn't familiar with the tri-tip breakfast burrito or the Southwest tri-tip wrap. Another employee stepped in to help, and everything was taken care of without any issues. The two meals came to around $37-$39, with each item costing roughly $17-$19. It's definitely on the expensive side, so I was hoping everything would be just as amazing as I remembered. The tri-tip breakfast burrito absolutely delivered. It was a generous size, wrapped in a nicely grilled tortilla, and packed with plenty of eggs, cheese, and flavorful tri-tip. As I was eating it, I realized I forgot to ask them to add peppers like I used to, and I also wish I had ordered salsa on the side. Even without those additions, it was still every bit as good as I remembered. I would absolutely order the tri-tip breakfast burrito again. Unfortunately, the Southwest tri-tip wrap didn't have the same magic. The Southwest sauce looked a little discolored, the meat didn't really look like tri-tip, and the overall flavor just wasn't what I remembered from years ago. For the price, I expected a much better sandwich. Since I've had so many great experiences here over the years, I'm willing to give the wrap another chance because it's possible I just caught them on an off day. Overall, it was great coming back to a place that holds so many memories. The tri-tip breakfast burrito reminded me exactly why I used to come here several times a week, while the Southwest tri-tip wrap left me a little disappointed. Even so, I'll definitely be back for another breakfast burrito, and I'll give the wrap one more try before making up my mind. read more

Perhaps because the oil and vinegar or the onions were missing or because there was literally one slice of turkey on the sandwich that was $15. There were no tomatoes no reason given but I was notified prior to the sandwich being made but no substitute was offered. I should have known then and proceeded to exit. Ate here for lunch on a weekday with ny fiance. We ordered the Napa Grilled Chicken Panini and Alexander Italian. Friendly service at the counter and when our orders were brought to the table. The sandwiches were so delicious! Filling and satisfying portion, flavorful, and not salty or oily. They felt just right. Bathroom and overall restaurant was clean. It was easy to find a seat. I was eating at the time linda was in the store, she was the one causing a scene, she was firstly extremely rude to the cashier and then started screaming. The kid literally changed his gloves!! She caused and entire scene asked for a refund and even gave them a hard time during the refund process. Linda make sure when you write one of your reviews that you're being honest. I haven't had a bad experience here, I've only been here twice, once when I was younger, and today about 6 years later. Parking is plentiful, and once you walk in you feel like you're in Napa, or a very vintage meets modern type setting. You're greeted with a friendly welcome from their staff, very friendly and accommodating for any questions you may have on the menu. Every time I have ordered food here, I have not been disappointed, I ordered the burrito 6 years ago and I ordered it again 6 years later, and it is so good with the perfect amount of char on top from the panini press, all the flavors inside blend so well together, and the the sandwich was their special for the day, toasted perfectly, the meat in both menu items were not dry, perfectly tender, and all the ingredients were fresh. I recommended this place to my family and friends, and all great things! read more

Came in today tried this place again, and order the Napa chicken sandwich. Watched a guy named Christian, who was gonna make my sandwich with his gloves on answer his phone take a phone call put the phone away and go to grab the food and make it. I made a comment to him that his phone is filthy dirty and I'd rather him not make my food after touching his phone and he made some kind of comment back to me. I couldn't hear it cause it was at the other end of the counter. I used to come here when they first opened and the owner was there with his two sons and the business was good the service was good. This place has significantly went downhill and now they have people there with no management and people doing whatever they want and making your food. The phone is the one thing that carries some of the most amount of bacteria on it and they're turning around and making people's food without even a care in the world. When this place opened it was legit, great place pricey but good sandwich. Over the years it's gone down hill. Had been in for a good while and I was ready to try again. To no avail, amount of meat on sandwiches was crazy for what you pay, Couldn't get the right ingredients on my sandwich. I wasn't going to leave a review of my experience, but after reading a couple similar experiences I thought I should. I even mentioned to the owner who returned my call that there are similar comments on Yelp. He didn't seem to care. First time at The Napa Deli yesterday. Two basic sandwiches, no drinks and no chips came to $33.69. That's a lot. But I felt like it was going to be pretty good. One sandwich was good, the St Helena. The Yountville pastrami was dry as can be. But my real issue was that when I was balancing my checkbook today I noticed they charged me more than my receipt says. It wasn't a big discrepancy, but it was there and there was no explanation on my receipt. I paid with my Debit card which I have always understood to be like cash at most places. I understand fees are sometimes assessed for credit cards, no issue there. After speaking to the owner who was nice as could be and made the effort to hear me and look into it and call me back ....when he called me back he truly had no explanation and he talked a mile a minute in circles about his Toast payment system and this and that and he can't figure out why I was charged more either and it's really strange and on and on. He could refund me only if I came into the store. I don't live near the establishment at all. And it's wasn't about the money, it was the principle. I told him twice he better put a little sign near the register with all the others that you may see an unexplained difference in charges in your bank statement with a debit card. He didn't seem too interested in doing that. Ha. So, this isn't the type of place I'll be going back to when I'm the area visiting. read more

I have came here a few times and tried the sandwiches, wraps, and pastas they offer. I was impressed the first time which led me to go again and try a wrap. I was amazed once again so I went back a third time. However, the last few times I've gone, it really hasn't tasted that good. Not sure why. The other day we ordered 3 sandwiches and 2 small chips and paid almost $60 which I felt was a lot compared to other high quality sandwhich spots. Our sandwiches were really not that good. We didn't finish the second half of it and one of our sandwiches had guacamole in it instead of plain avocado spread. Why???!!! It was not good and the person eating it hates onions and tomatoes that went to waste. Sometimes you just want a good ol fashioned deli sandwich. Sounds simple right? But in the crowd of fast food chains, this can be hard to find. In all honesty, I've never actually been to this location but my BF frequents this place because it's close to work, and he always has positive things to say. He's eaten his way through the menu, and most items are great. Their chicken choices can be a little bland, as the chicken is a bit unseasoned and depending on the sandwich, left as one whole piece. This can be difficult to eat at times but not too big of a deal. I'm a hot sandwich girl so I lean more towards paninis. I've had the turkey bacon, and the napa grilled chicken panini and both are good. They offer quality ingredients but I think quality control can be lacking sometimes. The chicken panini I had only had a really small piece of chicken. My bf said this was unusual as he's had this before and most all the other sandwich options there have generous amounts of meat. It was enough for me, but I could see how someone else would have a complaint, especially since these sandwiches aren't cheap ($12-16). I would say most options are enough for 2 meals, just add a bag of chips or one of their deli sides to round things out. I've never had my sandwiches fresh, but a quick reheat in the air fryer, and they come out delicious and toasty. If you're not in the mood for a sandwich, they do have wraps and burritos. They also offer a selection of desserts, and deli sides that can rotate out each day. This a solid place for lunch, however the price can be a bit on the higher end for some. I probably wouldn't choose to frequent this place often, however, if I'm ever in the mood for a sandwich I would definitely consider it. It looks like they offer online ordering so that's pretty convenient. If you need catering, they also offer "lunch box" specials and breakfast options too. read more

It would be one thing if the flavor backed up the price, but it was horrible. The sourdough bread was chewy and stale. The ham was oddly lacking any flavor at all. The cheddar cheese was dry and crumbly. They don't have fountain drinks or any namebrand sodas. You're stuck having to choose a bunch of fancy looking bottled sodas. Recently came across this deli on Yelp and decided to try it out. It was clean, and the person behind the counter was friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. Tons of delicious looking salads and desserts they had packaged to choose from. I wanted to get them all to try but kept to my sandwich for going out on the boat and I couldn't resist a dessert. I chose the St. Helena and did a little customizing (was told I was allowed 2) - added bacon and pesto sauce and OMG it was amazing!! It is a bit pricey but worth the splurge with the freshness and great taste, also the sandwiches are huge and can easily be split. I ordered the Monday special--a shaved tri-tip sandwich with mozzarella and chimichurri. While it sounded great, the tri-tip was bland and lacked flavor, making the sandwich pretty underwhelming. To make things worse, I went to order a beer, expecting local beer on tap, as advertised. Instead, I was told by the cashier, "We don't have any on tap... you can complain to the owner." No sign, no heads-up--just bottled beer that wasn't even local. When I asked the owner about it, his response was, "We ran out. Happens sometimes... want to go get us some?" Maybe he meant it as a joke, but given that the food and service were already disappointing, it just felt dismissive and unprofessional. First timer here. Interior was very clean with a Trader Joe's vibe. If you're a Trader Joe's person like me you'll completely understand this comparison. I ordered 2 items today, a pastrami sandwich on Dutch crunch and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. The sandwich was good, but the Dutch crunch was a bit dry. There was little to no moisture like I'm used to. It was hard to bite and tear. I ordered double meat which was actually double meat. It costs 3.49$ to add this option. Take a look at the attached pics for reference. The chicken noodle soup was better than the sandwich in my opinion. It was hearty, not watery and had big pieces of chicken and noodles. Absolutely enjoyed it even in this hot weather. I grabbed a Napa deli exclusive drink, blueberry lemonade. It had real pieces of blueberries in it and was a refreshing delight. The downside side was the price. I spent 26$ for a sandwich, bowl of soup and a drink.... Talk about inflation. Honestly, I'll probably visit down the road when I have a random craving for a sandwich, but only if I'm in the area. It's way too expensive. read more

I met my wife here on her lunch break. We pre-ordered our lunch online and when we arrived it was already bagged and ready. We sat at a booth and had lunch inside since it was a cold and rainy day! I had the Jameson Canyon BBQ Tri Tip sandwich and it was great! My wife had their daily special sandwich which was crab salad and she had it on a croissant. The sandwiches were delicious and their menu even has breakfast on it. I would definitely come back and try more of their menu even! read more

Because these sandwiches aren't cheap, I figured I should at least get what I paid for. I returned back and told them that they had given me the wrong sandwich and instead of getting an apology I got dirty looks and could see the staff clearly talking crap about me. I would normally just take the meat off, but I'm pregnant so I'm literally not supposed to eat deli meat due to the risk of listeria. They did eventually remake my sandwich; however, it was clearly squished flat out of spite. And if I'm being honest, it looks like they gave me slimy old lettuce as a retaliation for trying to get what I paid for. Rude rude rude. You know it's bad when even your 4 year old says the lady wasn't nice. Ariana was her name, she yelled at us, she should be fired. She didn't give us our right food and was confusing and hostile. I'm afraid to leave a voicemail because she'll probably erase it. I paid A LOT of money for 2 sandwiches, 2 side salads, and 3 desserts. I got ONE dessert that wasn't even the right one. What is wrong with that woman. Won't be coming back here ever again. I also want a refund for the $16 in desserts I spent and DID NOT get and a refund of the full meal for dealing with that aggressive worker who insulted us in front of other people how embarrassing. While this establishment was one of my favorites for many years, my last two experiences here have been awful. I don't know if it has changed ownership or that they just stopped focusing on customer service and food safety. A few months back, I ordered a Clam Chowder and upon opening the container back at my office, noticed it was more chunky than usual. I took a few bites and threw it out as it had the strongest "fish" taste and didn't feel like it was warm enough to eat. Later that night, I was sick to my stomach. I wasn't going to let one bad batch of soup prevent me from returning, so I returned today and purchased a drink, salad, and bowl of soup, took my number, and sat on the bench in the pickup area. I was there for 25 minutes and not one staff member checked in to see why I was there for so long. I went up to the register to ask for a refund and asked them if it takes 25 minutes now to get a bowl of soup. She admitted they just forgot and could get a bowl for me, but they only had the Chili and not the Tortilla soup I ordered. I was refunded for the soup and headed off to my meeting in which I had my semi-cold salad and lukewarm tea (was from the self-serve area and was in a bag with me while waiting). So sad that this place has gone downhill. The employees used to be super friendly and accommodating. Reading recent reviews proves that this establishment no longer prides itself on customer service or food safety! I will not return, and my company will no longer be using their catering services. We found this deli when leaving Costco's gas station. Excellent food, sandwiches and service with a variety of drinks. One of the few deli/sandwich shops that still uses sprouts. They have a nice selection of salads, vegetables, meats, sandwich fixings and breads. With a modern rustic, almost farmhouse ambiance and always clean. This is has been our favorite lunch location whenever we are in the area for the past few years. read more

The Napa Deli is on a corner of a big plaza. It was not as busy when I stopped by, so there was plenty of parking in this lot. This is one of those places where you order and pay first at the counter, then sit down, and when your food is ready, they will call you and you will pick your food up at the counter. The employees were not as friendly or patient here. I tried the Chimichurri Steak Sandwich and the Jameson Canyon BBQ Tri Tip. The steak sandwich, which comes on a toasted French roll with sliced tri tip, mozzarella, avocado, lettuce, and Chimichurri sauce was nicely toasted and juicy. The tri tip, which comes on a Dutch crunch roll with grilled tri tip, cheddar, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomatoes, BBQ sauce, and mayo was on the tougher side and not as juicy, and there was way too much BBQ sauce on it that it was overpowering the sandwich. The steak sandwich was the better of the two sandwiches. Overall, for about $17 for each sandwich - it definitely was not the best/not worth it. read more
