Socal Burrito
Timothy F.

I haven't had a bad experience here, I've only been here twice, once when I was younger, and today about 6 years later. Parking is plentiful, and once you walk in you feel like you're in Napa, or a very vintage meets modern type setting. You're greeted with a friendly welcome from their staff, very friendly and accommodating for any questions you may have on the menu. Every time I have ordered food here, I have not been disappointed, I ordered the burrito 6 years ago and I ordered it again 6 years later, and it is so good with the perfect amount of char on top from the panini press, all the flavors inside blend so well together, and the the sandwich was their special for the day, toasted perfectly, the meat in both menu items were not dry, perfectly tender, and all the ingredients were fresh. I recommended this place to my family and friends, and all great things!

Wednesday Special: Egg Salad BLT , smal chips, and a drink!
Angeline K.

This that place that I know has been there for years and everyone says it's good, but never had the time to try...until now of course. 10/10 everything. Staff are great! Ambience great. Selections on selections. They got to-go salads, pastas, meals. The drink selections are far more amazing than any sandwich shop i've been to. My first time today, I tried the Wednesday Special which was an Egg Salad BLT Sandwich. I am not much of an egg salad fan but these one was actually super good! Loved it! Will definately be back for that chimichuri tri-tip sandwich next time, the Monday special.

Tipping suggestions

Sandwiches are mid for what they are charging. And what default tip suggests 33% ?! Wild. I will always support local businesses but would like some better quality. Worse than SF prices... I've tried this place too many times hoping for an improvement over the years. Sadly disappointed

No sprouts

Ordered 3 sandwiches paid extra to include sprouts in all 3 and 2 of the sandwiches had no sprouts. So disappointed!

I have came here a few times and tried the sandwiches, wraps, and pastas they offer. I was impressed the first time which led me to go again and try a wrap. I was amazed once again so I went back a third time. However, the last few times I've gone, it really hasn't tasted that good. Not sure why. The other day we ordered 3 sandwiches and 2 small chips and paid almost $60 which I felt was a lot compared to other high quality sandwhich spots. Our sandwiches were really not that good. We didn't finish the second half of it and one of our sandwiches had guacamole in it instead of plain avocado spread. Why???!!! It was not good and the person eating it hates onions and tomatoes that went to waste. Not sure what's going on there but I hope they can get it together so we can continue supporting this local business. The service is always good and the place is always clean and set up nice. I'm hoping to wait a few months and give them another try.

Tri tip sandwich

Located in the same parking lot as Costco. A lot of parking. Cute sandwich shop with a cafe line atmosphere. Casual sit down. You order at the register and they bring the food to you. They have daily specials. I ordered a Tri tip sandwich off of the regular menu. Excellent flavor with soft and chewy bread. Decent portions.

Great place for quick deli sandwich's. I ordered the tuna wrap (deconstructed) and the amazing strawberry lemonade! As soon as I walked in I was greeted and able to put my order in right away and in less than 5 min I had my sandwich!

Sonoma Turkey Bacon Panini

Sometimes you just want a good ol fashioned deli sandwich. Sounds simple right? But in the crowd of fast food chains, this can be hard to find. In all honesty, I've never actually been to this location but my BF frequents this place because it's close to work, and he always has positive things to say. He's eaten his way through the menu, and most items are great. Their chicken choices can be a little bland, as the chicken is a bit unseasoned and depending on the sandwich, left as one whole piece. This can be difficult to eat at times but not too big of a deal. I'm a hot sandwich girl so I lean more towards paninis. I've had the turkey bacon, and the napa grilled chicken panini and both are good. They offer quality ingredients but I think quality control can be lacking sometimes. The chicken panini I had only had a really small piece of chicken. My bf said this was unusual as he's had this before and most all the other sandwich options there have generous amounts of meat. It was enough for me, but I could see how someone else would have a complaint, especially since these sandwiches aren't cheap ($12-16). I would say most options are enough for 2 meals, just add a bag of chips or one of their deli sides to round things out. I've never had my sandwiches fresh, but a quick reheat in the air fryer, and they come out delicious and toasty. If you're not in the mood for a sandwich, they do have wraps and burritos. They also offer a selection of desserts, and deli sides that can rotate out each day. This a solid place for lunch, however the price can be a bit on the higher end for some. I probably wouldn't choose to frequent this place often, however, if I'm ever in the mood for a sandwich I would definitely consider it. It looks like they offer online ordering so that's pretty convenient. If you need catering, they also offer "lunch box" specials and breakfast options too.

I kinda fell like, for a +$20 breakfast, it should have been epic. And it just wasn't. Most of mine was cold - and that's pretty bad when yuh have something called a 'skillet' (which wasn't in one, by the way...) My daughter's Benedict was... Spongy and weird and so were the hashbrowns and the hollandaise was just kind of off, and runny. What was epic?? The FRUIT. Large portion, berries and mango and none of the filler melons that most places use. It was the good stuff! I guess next time we really should try the waffles, because apparently that's what it's known for and I don't know why we didn't go with that but we just weren't feeling something sweet today. Hopefully, next time will be epic all around! (as far as ambience, it's a cute little place, the music was decent, and the tables were well appointed. Neither of us use the bathroom, and that's usually one way to tell how clean the place/kitchen is. We will definitely check it out next time)

The gravy was forgotten to pour in the biscuit and butter and sprinkles of sugar for the muffins... we always order from them that's why we know what we always get and this time, there were missing few stuff.. If they poured it on biscuit like they normally do, we wouldn't have been charged extra, so we just walked out and we appreciate when the staff came out and gave us the 3 tubs of gravy free of charge.. Only comment is that the rib eye was a bit rubbery and tough to chew, though easy to cut.. But over all, I can give it 4.5

As I moved now to Cordelia, I got the opportunity to stop by Huckleberry's in Fairfield. I was super thrilled that they actually had a patio. We were able to bring our pups with us and really enjoyed our time together. With that said that, I'm giving this place two stars. It was great that we got to be seated instantly I didn't have to wait because we were sitting outside. The outside back patio had a whole bunch of picnic tables and all of your utensils and extra ingredients were on top of the table. The menu you had a whole bunch of southern choices. I was super thrilled to see that they had fried okra and fried green tomatoes. Recently visiting Charleston, I really enjoyed their fried green tomatoes. So I said why not give it a chance here. I asked Jennifer, our waiter, what she thought about them and she said they were good. I also made sure to ask what the thickness of the tomato was because I actually like that flavor. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, and two double bloody Mary's. The bloody Mary's were delicious and they came out with bacon and all the garnishes that usually come with it. The fried green tomatoes, were horrible, it was basically batter, you didn't even get to see the tomato inside of it. The dipping sauce was OK, I usually don't do this, but I had to return it because I'm not eating dough! BTW... It also came with a really dirty nasty plate. Secondly, we ordered the fried steak and country gravy. We went for the side potatoes. And we asked for extra gravy. That dish came out pretty well and that's why it's getting this two stars. They definitely need to use a little bit more salt and pepper to add to their food for flavor. Thirdly, we ordered a second round of drinks, this time I ordered their jungle juice, which was huckleberry lemonade and vodka! It tasted water down and like there was no alcohol in it. Even though I asked for a double? At the end of the day, will I be returning no.

I also like that it gave me an option to have it with either toast or muffin which I found unique. Unfortunately, though the presentation was nice, the omelet was extremely bland. The egg was also overcooked and rubbery, the potatoes were also tasteless. The muffin however was very good, carrot and raisin, delicious. My boyfriend got the chipotle breakfast burrito (which I forgot to take a picture of), he said it was okay, I tasted it and also thought it was fine. There's a counter area where you can order coffee, pastries, breakfast items, or food to-go, while the left side has a hostess stand if you'd prefer full table service inside or on the patio. The brunch menu was a bit limited, and I ended up ordering the croissant sandwich. The croissant itself was soft and fresh, but overall the sandwich left me wanting a little more flavor. It was on the smaller side, didn't have much bacon, and even with the preserved tomato aioli it felt a bit underwhelming. The breakfast potatoes also weren't really my favorite. They were small whole potatoes with the skins on and heavily seasoned with cayenne pepper. Personally, I would've liked another side option such as fresh fruit. That said, the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. For two croissant sandwiches, two iced teas, and a side of fries, the total came to around $70 with tip, which felt a little pricey for the overall experience. The property itself is beautiful. It looks like they host live music and events in the outdoor quad area, and I noticed they also offer wood-fired pizza after 11 AM, which honestly sounds worth coming back to try. Overall, I have mixed feelings as the atmosphere and service were great, but the food didn't quite live up to expectations for me personally.
