I ordered the classic bone-in buffalo wings and they came out hot, crispy, and completely drenched in tangy buffalo sauce. They also gave me two dipping sauces on the side, which was a nice. I tried a few of my friend's salt and pepper wings too, and those surprised me in a good way with the seasoning and extra ingredients mixed in. The restaurant is looking very weathered after 6yrs, and could use a nice refresh...but the wings are still very tasty and we clearly ordered too much per the usual. Garlic noodles are super dry, what happened to the butter sauce? lol and the garlic fries had nice crunch and flavor. Skip the ceasar salad if you just want a parm cheese salad mess and some wilted roman lettuce...other than it's fine, fast food type meal. First thing that I noticed when I walked in, smelled strongly of cleaning agent. Now I love the smell of certain cleaning supplies but that being the only thing I smelled, no food smells? Slightly concerning. Esp since I do DoorDash & just came from wingstop strongly smelling of all the wings flavors but their wait time was INSANE, so I chose here for myself. Honestly the biggest thing that aggravated me was when the cashier zoomed past the tip screens from her side of the register & I noticed there was an extra dollar on my total now! There's no signs up saying gratuity added & I actually had JUST enough for the final total. My usual order is the Malaysian curry rub and the Saigon street wings. Each visit can be different whenever I come here because it can be a hit or miss. The curry rub is pretty salty since it's a dry rub. The Saigon street wings is crispy, sweet with fish sauce flavor. We ordered the Nashville tender fries but they were out of tenders so they substituted for boneless chicken. They asked how hot we wanted it, my boyfriend ordered extra hot. It was not spicy at all, even my boyfriend who has a so-so spice tolerance said it was mild. SUPER disappointed with the spice level, but overall still a good side order. But today, February 5, 2015, from 3:00-3:45 p.m., I had to make this known hoping someone can see and maybe prevent this from happening again. We came in because my wife loves the tender fries here. It was slow, and they finally had tenders. We ordered, and the register people were nice and helpful. We got our order, and the fries were just warm. When I explained that normally the cheese at least melts a little, the cheese was cold, and so were the fries it was sitting on. I asked for a remake. They were completely understanding and had it remade. I got it back, and the fries were barely warm, hard, like it was reheated in a microwave (not the crispy, lightly oiled taste). I was going to go up, but they were busy with the school kid rush, and my wife needed to leave because, after asking kids who were piled in next to us to stop vaping three times (it was messing with her asthma), they just thought it was funny. Fire Wings is one of my favorite spots. I love it so much, I was willing to drive to Fairfield since the Vacaville joint closed recently. This is my second time at the fairfield location and I am extremely disappointed. The service is poor (no hello, or greeting for that matter.) We were ignored for several minutes while the two girls chatted up front. The wings had hardly any sauce (mango habanero is supposed to be WET not dry) as seen. I was in the mood for WINGS and when those cravings hit - they hit HARD!!! Wings are my vice and the only thing standing in the way of my journey to veganism. So here we are... Both are dear to my heart, but today I just had to see what the devil was offering me. I ordered the 10 piece combo because why not? Do not judge me that I ate these wings within 10 minutes, OKAY?! I will say that they were at room temperature upon eating them... Which is strange because I placed my order at the restaurant and when they shot me a text, I was right at the door. I also do not live far from Fire Wings, so -1 star. Now for the FLAVOR. Oh, they showed up and showed out if this was something you were not used to. I got half Saigon Street and half Mango Habanero (duh) and they were both surprisingly familiar flavors. CALL ME CRAZY, CALL ME MAYBE - but do the Mango Habanero wings taste dead on Wingstop's?!?! Like, if I closed my eyes and ate Fire Wing's MH wing, I would've thought I was eating Wingstop... Which worked out in my favor because that was a flavor I was craving. It is sweet and brings a slight heat. The Saigon Street flavor was what my niece recommended that I ordered and like a good and cool aunt that I am, I listened. As mentioned, much to my surprise it was oddly familiar because my own family members makes these type of wings. Lol. Still delicious, but not as hyped up as I initially was prior to trying. They are also known as "nuoc mam wings", which one of the key ingredients being used is fish sauce! Again, this all makes sense as that may scare off contenders. Anyway, clap, clap, bravo to these garlic noodles. They're chewy, garlicky, not too dry, not too wet... Just right. I'd def recommend getting this on the side if you are sharing with others!
