    Today's order

I don't know what's wrong, I again today went for veggie sandwich with the soup meal, I specifically ask for no carrot and the guy took the order punch it right but who so ever make the sandwich did it wrong! I asked for jalapeños which they charged me but nothing is in sandwich. Soup was cold not even lukewarm. I am not gonna come back to thi sourdough again and I am not reviewing for any in return, just to let management know what is happening. Thank you

I've eaten at the Sonoma Sourdough sandwiches which I think have better sourdough bread but this place makes a decent crispy chicken (spicy) Cholula which is tasty! I was hoping for more chicken but the flavor combo was perfect. Can't wait to have it again!

    French dip

Let's get this right, the sandwiches are off the hook delicious. I had house sauce dripping down my finger on my hot pastrami and I was sad when I was full and could not finish the last three bites. The bread is fresh and didn't destroy the top of my mouth with the roughness of the crust, which I appreciate in a sourdough roll. Here is what I would critique, The French dip is meat n cheese...it needs more meat. It left my son still hungry. The fountain drink station had watered down Coke zero and lemonade. The teas tasted more like water than tea. We did not know what to do with our stuff on the table once we were done with our meal. We seem to have gotten a bit of attitude from one of the employees as we were leaving because our table was not bussed by us. I would suggest putting up a signage or letting people know when they are served their sandwiches, that when the meal is completed to please throw away your own garbage. There is always next time for that 5* review.

Almost NO MEAT in The French Dip. Doesn't look at all like the photo. Misleading the customers

Ordered the French Dip although the flavor was decent it in NO WAY was representative or the photo. Almost NO meat at all. Way to expensive for what you get. What a shame

It was good -liked it alot. The bread is excellent and toasted perfectly. Had the french dip, lots of meat, lots of sauce, quickly served. I'll be back - many thanks!

Yummy!! The tomato soup here has DELICIOUS written all over it...The sandwiches themselves though are just alright. I give Sourdough & Co a 3/5 rating and here's why: Customer service: amazing Ambiance: cute decor but it smells a little weird inside. Food: SOUP IS BOMB.com I'm all about their tomato soup! Next time you go you might see me when I crave una sopita! In sum, if you're looking for some delicious soup with lots of FLAVOR, this is the place. If you're looking for a sandwich, it's a little bland so I'd go somewhere else. Saludos, -Linda

Bone marrow portion was great however the marrow came out cold and I wish there was something more to cut the fat - more pickled slaw or crackers maybe? Dino short rib was amazing. Huge! Juicy! Flavor bomb galore. Bring your appetite, this thing is called dino short rib for a reason. Can def taste the smoky taste and it wasn't dry at all. I think the rib is smoked first and then sous-vide afterwards. Service was solid. Friendly staff and the hostess was able to seat us inside after we realized sitting outside was too cold for us. On an earlier warm evening, I'd opt to sit on the deck -- great dining experience if weather behaves and it's not too chilly/windy. Btw, always order dessert. The sundae was superb.

Our second waiter Shauna was very nice and attentive but the food was subpar to her service. The cook has a very heavy hand when it comes to salt and in my opinion a lot of things on the menu are doing too much. We ordered multiple dishes on the menu and the worst was by far the bone marrow which we were very excited to try, should've known what to expect when they served it with ranch seasoned saltines, bone marrow is already so fatty and rich it doesn't need much for it to shine, adding andouille and onion jam was doing way too much. The saving grace of the night was the edamame appetizer (which was still a tad over cooked), sticky rice, which was not sticky by the way (jasmine rice) and the steak that was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Overall disappointed in their service, food, and above all else, drinks. If this is Sonoma's best, (displayed in the front) I wouldn't want to try their worst.

We weren't overly hungry but wanted to try it. The prices were pretty steep for a beer $12, and the cocktail was VERY expensive $19 after tax. Hubs decided not to order the beer but insisted I try a fancy drink so I decided on the unicorn after recommendation from our waitress. The drink was pleasantly good, not too sour or too sweet, however definitely not worth the price. Then we decided on a small bites, skillet prawns. The wait wasn't too long. We took a bite each and we were so confused at the odd flavor. It tasted like latex gloves and cleaner. Hubs tried a a second small bite of another one and spit it out. We probably shouldn't have stopped. Our waitress was really nice about it and offered to get us a new one or something else or a dessert, but we declined. She ended up taking it off the bill. My boyfriend and I ordered wine, the artichoke dip, mussels, tagliatelle, 1/2 chicken, and bread pudding. There was a good variety of wine to choose from and the waitress was nice enough to give me a couple samples before ordering a full glass. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! It wasn't as sweet / cinnamon-y as other bread puddings that I've had, but was moist without being soggy and felt like a true homemade recipe. This place had always been wildly pretentious and catered to the hipsters, but in the beginning, their food was actually fantastic. My partner received a gift certificate from a colleague, so I thought we'd try again, and came for brunch. My hope was that the place had returned to the portions and quality of when they first opened, which were proportionate to the cost. Unfortunately, it has declined even further since the octopus incident. We ordered the baby pancake and the burger. The portions were spectacularly small for the pricepoint, and everything tasted underwhelming. The baby pancake was more of an over done, miniscule crepe, and the medium rare burger we ordered was well done, dry, and tiny. There is a process of waiting outside and ordering, which is confusing, unwelcoming, and downright strange. There is a reason that no other restaurants do this. Please knock it off. The service was just ok, and no one came to check on us after our mediocre food was served. Fortunately, all this experience cost us was the tip, and time we could have spent eating something substantial and leaving feeling full. Meh. It's time to give up on this place and their overpriced, overhyped, substandard hipster fodder. Two stars because the herbed fries were nice.
