I was really not expecting such delicious pho in Oakley, but it's safe to say that Golden Gate Pho…read moreis a very solid spot. We were in the area last month and I really wanted pho, especially since it was a chilly and stormy day. Golden Gate Pho came well recommended, so it was a no brainer for us to try their food. It was a quiet day, but service was friendly and attentive. We were seated immediately. There were only a few others dining in, so it was pretty peaceful. The restaurant was clean, with ample seating. We got to sit at a comfy booth this time, but there were also regular chairs and tables for larger groups. I went with the #60 pho, which comes only in the large size. My husband went with one of his favorite Vietnamese dishes, the beef stew with bread. We didn't have to wait very long for our food to arrive. The baguette that came with the beef stew was a really nice size. It was toasted and crunchy on the outside while pillowy on the inside. I tried a bit of the beef stew itself and it was tender and seasoned well, with a rich broth. My pho was so good. I loved that it was served with the rare steak on top for me to cook at the table. The herbs were fresh and the meat was tender. There was a good amount of meat as well, and the broth was flavorful without being heavy or oily. The noodles were perfectly cooked. This was definitely one of the best bowls of pho I've had besides at my usual spots in Sacramento. While we don't go to this area often, I would really love to return whenever we next pass through. Nothing beats a solid, comforting bowl of pho, and Golden Gate Pho fits the bill.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted, and everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was not only aesthetically pleasing but absolutely delicious. I wasn't very hungry today, so I ordered one of the half sandwiches, and it was perfect--fresh, flavorful, and made with care. They truly make amazing sandwiches. Thank you for the wonderful food and outstanding service. I always appreciate the consistent quality and welcoming atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

I ordered via the App and chose to dine in. By the time I walked over, my order was ready and I had a pleasant sitting outside. Broccoli Cheddar Soup: I got my soup in sourdough bread bowl and it was delicious. I have not had Panera for over a decade, so I was glad to give it a try again. I always picked between this soup and the tomato soup. The bread bowl held itself and the amount of soup was fair (though still pricey). I should have not gotten a baguette, since this was a lot of carbs just for one meal. Still, the soup was not too salty and tasted exactly as named. Overall, ordering was simple and quick and if I am in the area and want something on the go, this is a place I will stop by.

She is a key reason as to why we want to keep coming back; her attitude and enthusiasm is fantastic. Me and my family enjoyed our dinner and loved every dish we ordered. Their wonton soup is an excellent choice for a starter and can be shared up to at least 3 people. The wontons are fresh and tasty, the mushrooms are chunky and complement well with the bakchoy. There's even thinly sliced red pork which adds some taste and texture to the soup. We thoroughly enjoyed their spicy Mongolian chow fun. This had some sweetness to it but also some heat which was just right. The beef was super tender! It melts in your mouth. My wife ordered the Sun Kitchen sushi special which was delicious and had big pieces. The quality of sushi here is great! My son enjoyed his bento box which consisted of teriyaki grilled chicken, salad with creamy sesame dressing and then large pieces of vegetable tempura. This is an excellent deal with a good amount of choices to choose from. Jeanette and Tony frequently stopped by to check on us and made sure our meals were good and our drinks were refilled. They are so accommodating and inviting. The music they were playing in the background was on point! They were playing smooth R&B in which me and my wife were dancing. It's spacious inside the restaurant and can hold a good amount of guests. I will say, I wish the temperature was cooler inside; it was a bit warm but didn't really bother us. We can't wait to come back! We love this place!

Ordered a Beef teriyaki bento box but the meat looked like boiled meat. It was sad and gross looking. My daughter ordered the Salmon Teriyaki Bento box and she didn't touch the whole fish. Flavorless and No teriyaki sauce in sight! We brought the meat home to our dog, at least it didn't go to waist. We also ordered a Beef Chow Fun that was taken to another table and then the dish was sent back and guy walked over to place it on our table. I guess they don't care about cross contamination! I had to send it back. We ordered two beef Udon soups that never came. By then we just asked for our check. It took them a long time to bring us our check and also to ring us up. Sadly won't be returning. We should have just went with our original plan to dine at Misaka. Seems like this restaurant is ran by Chinese people and probably should just stick with Chinese food. Stop trying to serve two different food genres and then botch it!
