The place was clean and had a steady flow of customers coming in and out, with a few dining in. We ordered ramen, a couple of side dishes, and drinks. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the black garlic ramen was--definitely a standout. I also got the grilled shrimp on the side, and my husband ordered the short rib--both were really tasty. The service was great as well. The server was quick to assist us, even though he seemed to be the only one working at the time. I also liked their menu board--it looked modern and well put together, not cheap at all. We ordered 2 different items. The Loco Moco which was the best one I ever had in my life. Even better than I had in Hawaii. The peanut butter in the gravy threw me at first but its so good! The lumpia was the worst lumpia Ive ever had. It was awful. We threw it all in the trash. It was like eating a wet, soft eraser. The taste was bad but the texture was unimaginably worse. I don't even understand what that was. The filling fell out in a tube like shape and a pencil eraser is the only thing I could compare it to. I couldn't even identify if it was meat. Spending spring break up north from Southern California. After a long drive, I wanted something light but still satisfying. Nothing hits better than some authentic Ramen. I checked on Yelp to find a location close to my destination and found this place. There is limited parking but inside the location there is plenty of space to dine in and enjoy a nice meal. I would recommend better interaction between the person at the counter taking orders and the customers coming in to dine in, picking up an to go order or placing take out order in person. Seemed a little tired and irritated. Additionally, in this day and age post Covid. If you are sick or have a cough, I strongly recommend not packing up to go orders coughing over the food. This was one thing I noticed and watched to ensure my food was not coughed on like others I witnessed. On to the food: I ordered the chicken ramen without corn. A small unassuming place from the outside and very spacious and roomy inside with tables and tables scattered all over. The sweet lady at the ordering counter helped us with the menus and then took our order without much ado. We payed upfront and I felt the prices were very economical. We had ordered some Chicken Katsu and some BBQ chicken, both off which were good. The veggies on the side too were fresh and crunchy. We had ordered a side of Kimchi and I really liked it - fresh crunchy and just the right amount of spicy. Finally we had ordered seafood Ramen and it was delicious! The chicken wasn't very well seasoned, and the broth didn't really stand out. Everything was fine, but nothing really hit. I did notice they offer chicken katsu, which I might try next time and update my review, because that seems more in line with what they might do better. As far as ramen goes though, if I'm specifically craving ramen, this probably wouldn't be the spot I come back to. Don't even worry about asking for anything extra or utensil etc they will give it to you rudely. Took my party a while to get acknowledged even for the check and when I ask for a to go box , I had to walk up to the register to ask for one and for the check as well.
