    Black Sugar Milk Tea
    Ellyzha A.

Unsure why this place has more negative reviews than positive. My boyfriend and I decided to try out this place yesterday for lunch. Right as we walked in, we were greeted kindly. It's fairly spacious inside. We ordered the chicken karaage as the appetizer, the BBQ mix plate to share, & brown sugar boba milk tea. Chicken Karaage: Huge chunks of chicken which was awesome. Extra crispy. I think adding a sauce on the side would be a great add. 6.5/10 BBQ Mix Plate: Huge portion and perfect for 2 people. The addition of the veggies was a great way to balance out the heaviness of the rest of the plate. 9.5/10 Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea: My boyfriend loved this drink. Perfect consistency of the boba. We both enjoyed how it wasn't too sweet. 10/10 Can't wait to come back and try their ramen!

My meats were all solid frozen so it did not cook correctly. The outer part was overcooked but the middle was still raw. My partner plate was however delicious. I enjoyed that more even though I was craving for hot pot. Service was really quick and employees were really nice for checking up on us. I will be coming back to try other dishes. For now, my rating is based on the two dish I did try.

We ordered an Unagi and Tofu and Veggie Bowl plus two drinks: classic milk tea with red bean and taro milk with red bean. The red bean is a hard to find topping at Boba places, so I appreciate that it's available. The bowls were good: unagi was done well, the veggie was steamed well, and the silken tofu was well seasoned. But the rice was fantastic! It was not mushy or too moist. You can taste each grain of rice. All in all, I did not notice anything particularly taiwanese other than the Beef Roll Pancakes and 3 cup chicken. But I will definitely stop here if I am in Brentwood again because the rice was that well done. The service was patient, informative, and responsive. And the ambiance was typical.

Food is super fresh and delicious especially the hot pot. We also love the appetizers grill squid, oysters and tempura. The owner Kelly is so generous and she serves us a free pepper and salt chicken nugget dish which is so yummy. She is very attentive and serves us every need promptly. The restaurant is clean, roomy and spacious. We will keep coming back, this is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Brentwood.

This place used to be Ramen 101 and it appears it is the same for the ramen, boba, and Hawaiian food. 7.5/10 for those foods! They recently added hot pot, which I am so excited about! They offer different sets that range from $19.99 - $29.99, otherwise you can build your own. Taste is 9/10, but portion size is 6/10. They are a bit stingy on meat servings. My "luncheon meat" was 1 slice of spam cut in half. Service is amazing and fast. The broth was DELICIOUS. Unfortunately, they also charge an extra $3/person for sauces, which kinda sucks because I only got sauce once. Overall, I will probably come back because the closes hot pot place is 20+ minutes away.

I was craving hot pot, and I'm happy that Brentwood now has a local hot spot for it! The food was delicious and fresh. We chose the spicy broth, and it did not disappoint--perfectly flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The ingredients were fresh, and the portions were just enough. We also tried their milk tea, and the boba texture was perfect. The service was great. The servers were attentive, friendly, and happy to help. If you're looking for a yummy hot pot experience without having to leave Brentwood, Tea A Set is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

Came here on a saturday morning since i was craving for hot pot, and there aint any hot pot option around this area. The vibe and atmosphere was nice, not crowded (maybe cuz we came when they first open for the day). The food came out quickly after we ordered. We were surprised with how affordable the price is. The servers were very friendly and nice. We had a great experience overall. If I have one thing for feedback, prob the soup base. I personally think it's a bit thick. But this might be up to personal taste. I added some water to water it down, and it became perfect. Recommend!

Nice quiet place for talking and having a casual dinner date with hotpot as an option! It is new and ranges from $20-30 depending on what set you want or any add one! Plenty of parking outside and they have a sauce bar for $3 extra. Come try it out! Service was fantastic!

Wanted to try a new place. The food on their site looked delicious. Clean appearance outside and inside with an open kitchen, and I always appreciate nice food pictures to guide ordering and menu options. Hubby ordered the bbq combo which had kalbi, chicken, Mac salad with rice. 3/5 I had the Tonkatsu ramen. The broth was tasty and the noodles were cooked perfectly as was the pork slices. I do enjoy bean sprouts but there were a quite a large heaping.3.5/5 Food is served quickly which is a plus.

YOU GUYS ARE TRIPPING. This place is fire! No lie, I was a bit sketched out about ordering after reading the reviews. Decided to DoorDash and take advantage of the BOGO and damn it's good! Also ordered crab ragoons and they were ok. If you like PF Chang or Rice Bowl's style ragoons then you may not like them. The only complaint is that they didn't give me enough sweet and sour sauce, lol.

Ramen to go and Thai Milk Tea!

I really like this spot! The first couple of times I came to this spot i had issues either order accurateness so did not give a great review. BUT in the weeks since I will say things got better! Now I go here often. Their Black Garlic Ramen is delicious! Really flavorful! I also enjoy the Geso (squid legs fried) plus Salt & Pepper chicken. They're friendly fast and tasty! I'm also thrilled they now serve Hot Pot. Yummy! Give them a try and enjoy a quick tasty meal - dine in (tons of easy parking) or take it to goooo!

We both got the House Special Braised Beef Noodle Soup-medium spice and extra noodles.

Yummmmm! They recommended adding the spicy beef oil to to (they have a little condiment bar) and it was so delicious with it! It was our first time here, service was great! Recommendations were great, will definitely come back!

It goes by pound by the way. Same issues with the dining area. I'm not claustrophobic or anything, but this is just way too close for comfort. Also, the water glasses are way too small, it didn't feel right. Sorry, that's just me. We came with a party of 4 and we're not big people at all, sitting area was too stuffy and felt tight. Not comfortable at all. We're eating soup and it got too hot without AC. I think someone must of heard us talking about the heat and that's when we heard the AC goes on. Thankful for that. I do have to say, the staff members seems nice and attentive. But I wish we paid prior to sitting down to eat to get it out of the way. There's just too narrow of a space in between tables and chairs to add more people walking along side our table. The food is not bad and the place is definitely worth trying. They have a lot of toppings selection for your soup. I just think this kind of business needs more space. There's really safety issues i can see, especially you're serving HOT soup. One wrong move and it can become a disastrous situation for both business owners and people dining in. Sorry, I'm just giving my honest opinion.
