One of my favorites until the last couple of times I've been there. The burger was so overdone it was literally like leather and even the edges of the bun were burnt I thought last time that it was just a one-off but going there today the buns were burned. I took it to go and the french fries were literally turned upside down in the bottom of the bag which wouldn't be that much of an issue but they get very cold that way at least when they're in the little bag together and they stay warm. Their food is always good, and they have the best Ranch Dressing! I got the Chicken Club Sandwich, Onion Rings & a medium drink. It was over $21 w/tax! We arrived right at 10:30 am (opening time), so we were the only people in the restaurant. That being said, the staff are always friendly. The restaurant was clean and bright. We usually order to-go, but decided to dine in today. My husband didn't order anything since it was only 10:30, but he usually gets a burger. The worst Habit Burger I've had. This review is for a few days ago and the place was not even crowded. The Charburger was sopping wet with grease on the grilled onions and the burger patty and water on the lettuce. The brown paper bag was wet when I picked up the order. Brown avocados, tomatoes mushy , previously frozen,?,much smaller serving in cardboard container,, different lettuce,(some limp and old) returned it and now I have to wait 7-10 days for $$ to be returned. Recommendation : the Santa Bárbara char ask for boom sauce (it's got a spicy kick to it) fries sold separately. Tip : Make sure you ask for your meat well done if you want it well done they might just make it medium. Service: friendly staff . They'll fix any mistakes without giving you a hard time. My experience: I asked for no Mayo in my santa barbara char & it seemed like they put extra Mayo but they were quick to make it right once I let them know. I went back recently and the food was excellent and eventhough it was 30 minutes to closing, I was still able to get a large Tropical tea!! Absolutely filthy! This business should not be open. Every single table is dirty and has not been wiped down. The floors have not been swept or cleaned. The blinds have ketchup on them. The walls are all scraped down to nothing. The area they are cooking in has food all over the floor. The glass doors and windows are covered in grimy hand prints. After ordering and sitting down looking around we decided it was a health hazard to eat here. I very kindly asked the manager for a refund, and she refused to. She was rude and uncooperative. She also tried to keep my original receipt. Another employee intervened and gave me the receipt and tried to help with the refund (Jasmine) which I appreciated. I know this place is known for burgers but I come for the chicken Caesar salad. It's is particularly special? Not necessarily but it's huge and I love the char on the chicken. They'll ask you if you want teriyaki sauce on the chicken. Don't get it. It's a weird taste with the Caesar dressing. I enjoy their burgers too- this time I tried the double char with bacon added- so juicy, it was dripping all over the table. And I also tried their seasonal special- garlic fries. I wish it had fresh garlic but instead was drizzled with a garlic aioli sauce. I prefer their tempura green beans or sweet potato fries. For those pepper lovers out there, they have a pepper bar with jalapeños, peppercinis, and chili peppers, as well as a selection of hot sauces. First let me say, I love their salads and most of the food I have had has been good. Customer service, not so much. I have ordered pick up 2 x now and have yet to get what I ordered. It seems there is a ranch shortage. First time no xtra ranch as ordered at .60 cents extra. Ok, maybe a mishap. Second time it ordered two extra ranch dressings thinking they would catch it this time. However, this time I was shorted 3 ranches! It's not the extra charge but more the principle. It's a good place with a good menu however I went in today and saw the ad for the impossible burger. Not knowing anything at all about it I asked the cashier what it was about. What's on it? The burgers were prepared very sloppy , mustard coming out from the bum and an exaggerated amount of both mustard and ketchup , no tomatoes or lettuce on 5 of the 7 burgers that we order.. I used to really like habit but whoever there new cook is is TERRIBLE. Last few times I've order it has been bad. I wanted to give them another chance but this is not ok. I Ordered chicken club my usual, chicken had so much pepper on it my first bite I started coughing. The chicken had black hard stuff on it dnt think they cleaned the grill.. I look at the sandwich n the avocado is brown!
