I received a coupon in the mail for a new patient visit that included x-rays, cleaning and a consultation for $59, which prompted me to go ahead and give them a try. The service was great from beginning to ending. The hygienist was very friendly, gentle and thorough. We chatted throughout my appointment like we've know each other for years. I think her name is Kassandra. My experience with her was so great that I made an appointment for my son on the way out. They also give you a goodie bag which includes a toothbrush, floss, toothpaste and small bottle of Listerine. She also schedule my 6 month cleaning before leaving her suite.....great visit all the way around.

In my adult years I got braces and later crowns to make my teeth more presettable. At age 45 I got throat cancer. The treatment required radiation and again my teeth took a beating. After having several other dentists work on my bite and general appearance I found doctor Le. Over several weeks she crowned all of my lower teeth. I already LOVE the appearance but more importantly I can chew my food properly. We will start on my upper teeth next month. Dr Le and her assistant Michelle made an unpleasant process worth all the pain and discomfort. Her front office staff specifically Jocelyn always greeted me with a pleasant good morning. When I first started, I had avoided dentists for about 10 years. I had a lot to catch up on due to that and my bad Irish teeth genes. (you can't run from a bad cap). She is an artist and a perfectionist when it comes to her work while being very conscientious of patient comfort. She also has a great sense of humor. Her office is full of very nice staff, and she runs a tight ship. Appointments are prompt, the waiting room has a computer with internet and a plethora of magazines including a few for the guys, the facilities are state-of-the-art technology and operating-room clean, and well laid out. This may be a bizarre thing to say, I actually look forward to my appointments because Dr. Zamora and her entire staff are so nice, the setting is relaxing, and it's usually a break from a hectic work day. I'm not saying I enjoy getting drilled on, but if God himself came down from heaven and drilled a cavity, it probably wouldn't be very pleasant. -Kevin

I asked if there was somewhere I could put my umbrella because there wasn't anything in place, but immediately upon asking, she walks out with a plastic tub for me to put it in. Also, the check-in process was very simple. I had to fill out some paperwork since it was my first time there, but unless I was a walk-in, they just ask if I was the person for a reservation. I don't even have to touch a paper to sign in. Then, I met with the hygienist for my cleaning. She quickly got my x-rays and updated me on the state of my teeth. She then proceeded with giving me my cleaning, which she did very thoroughly. She made light conversation, which was nice, considering I could only respond with "uh''s and "ah"s. She made me feel very comfortable and at-home during the process. Lastly, I met with the dentist, Dr. Jung. She performed the oral cancer screening and asked me about my dental history/status. I actually have a special issue with my jaw, and she knew about the details of my condition. I've been to other dentists that weren't very well informed in the area, so it was very refreshing to hear that she knew about it. She wanted to keep updated on it. She's very knowledgeable. Upon leaving, I received a goodie bag of dental items, and I was very impressed. I typically receive no name generic brand item, but this came filled decked out with quality dental items. After getting the reassurance from the Staff and doctor I felt at ease. We proceeded with doing the extraction the same day. My goodness, from the time it took for the anesthesia to kick in, which was quick, Dr. Sheppard came back in the room and did the extraction. It happened so fast, I was shocked! I hands down recommend Dr. Sheppard for any tooth extractions.

My experience at this dental office was not only unprofessional, it was chaotic, dismissive, and…read morerooted in assumption rather than fact. I was instructed to upload my dental insurance information (once I received it) through their portal prior to my appointment. When I didn't receive the portal link, I called the day before to request it. No one ever sent it. That failure on their part set the tone for everything that followed. I arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment, expecting that, at the very least, they would verify my insurance upon check-in. After having my insurance card for some time, the front desk staff told me, per the Office Manager, Jefferson Dental did not accept a discount plan, not because it was an actual dental insurance card, but simply because it also listed a vision discount at the bottom of the card. They focused more on the vision portion of the card than the clearly listed dental provider information. They didn't ask questions. They didn't call to verify. They just decided it wasn't valid. When I explained that I had called the number on their own business card the day before to request the upload link, I was told flatly that I had to their "answering service." That was false. I spoke to someone directly in their office, one of the same five people, now standing in front of me. And yet, instead of any acknowledgment or ownership of the oversight, the entire front desk went silent. At one point, all five staff members walked to the back with my card in hand, still refusing to verify anything. They operated off of the word of the front office manager, who insisted they didn't accept my plan, without ever checking. It wasn't until I pushed back and asked them to actually call the number on the card that someone finally decided to verify the coverage. It's sad that things had to escalate to this point, and I had to be the one to request the call. Shortly after my arrival, a family of six who arrived after me. They had all been checked in and taken back one by one. I was told my wait would be "15 to 20 minutes." That was a lie. I was expected to sit and wait for all six family members to be seen. After watching all six members of the family get called in before me, all because they failed to verify my insurance, there was no update, no apology, and no real reason to justify the lack of following basic procedures. Nearly 30 minutes after my appointment time, I left. I had no confidence in their process, and even less in their ability to provide care. The front office was unprepared, defensive, and more focused on being "right" than actually assisting a patient who came ready, willing, and early for care. And if this is how they handle basic administrative duties like insurance verification, I can't imagine the quality of service behind the dental chair. I normally read reviews before patronizing a business, but this time, I gave this office the benefit of the doubt. That was my mistake, and I won't make it again. If you value your time, your dignity as a patient, and professionalism matters to you, look elsewhere. This practice is not it.
