Be sure to get a second opinion. I went to Dr Fulbright after being a sucker for their instagram ads. A dentist that is more like a spa?! Yes please! But it wasn't very spa like, sure they gave me a sticker with some lavender smell and a blanket, not worth going out of pocket for or all the extra charges or misdiagnosed. He diagnosed me with 7 cavities! I had never had a cavity before and had only been six months since my last cleaning so I was shocked. They asked for upfront payment before I left for treatment of the cavities... I went home and it just didn't sit right, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. He could not find any cavities. It's been a year and half and I've been treated and xrayed- 2x and no cavities have ever presented themselves. He said AI allows him to see cavities before anyone else, but if another dentist can't find them a year later, are they really there??? Please be sure to proceed with caution!! read more

I had a new set of teeth once I was finished and only one of them is an implant. I started off with sleep apnea, and it required me to have crowns put on all of my teeth. I had approximately 6 mm of length added to each tooth it took over a year, and could only be done in quadrants. The result is, I am able to eat and taste everything so much better. I find myself being the last one to finish eating because I enjoy chewing so much. I get more flavor from my food than I ever used to. read more

I went to 4 Other places that talked down to me and did not want to do a intraoral scan for byte aligners. They all said it was also going. To be around 7 to 900$, I was advised to go too Dr. Fullbrights office and thank god I did. The office experience was great, the whole staff were so nice. I am now switching from rancho palos verdes dentistry to Dr. Fullbrights office. The Drs at rancho palos verdes ruined my teeth and Overcharge me for a cleaning until I caught them and called around and got quotes from other dentists with my insurance it should have been 30-150$ they tried charging me 750 when I told them I shopped around they immediately switched from 750 to 160 dollars. I was extremely disappointed with Michael Fulbright & his office. He quoted me over $30,000 & told me I had a cavity on every single tooth- which later at another dentist, I found out was completely incorrect & over half of the teeth were completely clear of cavities of any kind. He did not take the time to examine my teeth or consider the possibility that small cavities do not need to be removed & filled right away- better yet, they can be reversed so that no filling is needed. He even made very inconsiderate, unprofessional, & rude remarks when I decided to wait on moving forward with his recommendations for some time. He did not take the time to listen to our concerns & seemed to care heavily about the money, & less so about the health of my teeth & my body as a whole. I now make over an hour of a drive to a wonderful dentist who cares about the health of my teeth, & does not fill cavities unless absolutely necessary or they are causing pain of any kind- it is worth it to find a great dentist who cares about your teeth. No hard feelings towards Fulbright Dental, but unfortunately I had a negative experience with them & would not recommend them. read more

The dentist who has taken care of my family and me for more than a decade closed down her practice (sole practitioner) and joined Fulbright last year. We've gone from being very happy to much less so. My first was for my bi-annual check-up and cleaning in January. Same as it's been for 10 years. Showed up on time, did the usual COVID stuff and got my teeth cleaned. So far so good. While I was in the chair I was told I should start using an electric toothbrush...something called "perio trays"... and, BTW, I should have my teeth cleaned 3x a year, not 2x. This is from the hygienist (who I literally just met), not my dentist. Oh, and the kicker: I did not see my dentist. The good folks at Fulbright decided my bi-annual was not that, but just a cleaning. Did not tell me until the cleaning was done and I asked about my dentist. WTF? Also leaned at check-out that Fulbright is "fee for service," meaning you pay in full and get to deal with your insurance company. Second visit was this week. Got my teeth cleaned, saw my dentist--the one I've been using for a decade--and had a generally good visit, though the hygienist (a different one) also pushed the perio trays. At least I got some explanation why they might be useful... I need to have some old filings replaced and was given an estimate for that work. I was pushed to make an appointment then and there for this work and pay up front, in exchange for a 5% discount. I asked how much of the more than two grand in new work my insurance company would cover. I was given a wide range (+/- 100s of dollars) and the suggestion to contact my insurance company myself. My wife had a similar experience with the attempted upsell during recent visit. Change is hard. Particularly when it comes to a long-standing relationship with a health care provider. I get it. And I am sure the folks at Fulbright know what they are doing, but the repeated upsell and push to pay for services not yet delivered has got this patient rethinking his dental care. read more

Can't say enough great things about Dr Fulbright and the lovely ladies on his team. I came originally to talk about a sleep study along with my teeth cleaned. I found out I had a tongue tie, which I'd never heard of nor any other dentist mention to me. I also have a high narrow palate and a cross bite. They also discovered in X-rays I had very little airway on one nostril. I since have seen a Dr for my nose and had surgery ( both airways were completely blocked) and I decided to fix my palate doing the Vivos which will expand it and help my tongue placement and to keep it from blocking airways. I'm also getting my tongue tie fixed in Jan and have been working with Andrea to prepare for it. My mouth , teeth and gums have never been better. Best dentist and staff I've ever been to read more

Beware, at best very unprofessional and at worst unethical and greedy. I was referred there once to get a product and totally sales pitched the moon for this and that and they promised my insurance would cover it, and supposedly they're giving me deals with the initial appointment using all of their fancy equipment...in the end insurance did not cover any of the things they were pushing a hard sale on. Worse yet, they bought my beloved dentist's practice who I had been seeing for 11 years. Soon as they bought it massive billing nightmares for simple procedures I had done before, and also much higher prices. Nail in the coffin is they allowed me to continue to get dental work done, but did not tell me they no longer took my insurance. So I had to pay full price cash. The staff told me "someone should have told you last April"...and then proceeded to try to convince me to keep going there for some very expensive work I need done. When I asked why would I keep going somewhere I need to pay full price cash when I have legit PPO dental insurance and never paid a dime before for most things, she reluctantly said "well if saving money is your priority then maybe go somewhere in network"...ummm yea....lots of dentists in the South Bay with amazing reviews who take insurance and possibly are more honest. In speaking to others in my community the same thing happened to them as did me with Dr Fulbright. Appointments made long in advance, expensive work done, and zero word about them no longer taking your insurance until you get the bill, then they claim someone should have told you... They blast you with emails and texts constantly, they very easily could have sent an email, text, or letters in the mail about insurance policy changes but they clearly intentionally chose not to do that. read more

I had Zoom done with Dr Michael Fulbright and his assistant Miguel last week. First of all the office and staff: it is a pretty environment and actually fun. I don't normally find myself cracking up at the dentist's office, but did here. Nice, upbeat group of people. Dr Fulbright is considerate, serious and you can see really a perfectionist. He looked at my teeth and we discussed some things I may need moving forward in the long run. I asked him to numb me because my teeth are so sensitive and I am glad I did. I actually fell asleep while my teeth were being Zoomed. I was numbed and they dimmed the lights for me, I was tired and needed a nap so it was perfect! They do have a TV in the treatment room if you would like to watch. Miguel performed the Zoom Treatment, and he has a sensitive way about him and a very beautiful smile, turns out he has porcelains. They are extremely well done, you could never tell - and I am thinking I may have to do it at some point as I really have thin teeth. I would definitely go here for these services. Dr Fulbright and staff gave me a little case and toothpaste, mouthwash and a little guard with some additional whitening gel as well as fluoride gel to decrease sensitivity. I was very sensitive the following day and kept the guard on. I knew I would be because I can not even use crest white strips, that is why this was so perfect for me with the numbing and being observed! My teeth are much brighter and a coworker even noticed! I did have a hell of a time not eating red foods and coffee the next day but I am happy with my results! I think this is a great office and Doctor. I felt well cared for and in safe hands. In terms of pricing, you know, they are in normal range, not inexpensive, but I would rather have a preventative, careful doctor who prices himself in the middle than someone cheap overlooking things and having to do twice as much in the end! I am so happy to have found Dr.Fulbright! I am terrified of the dentist but he and his staff are absolutely amazing and made me feel extremely comfortable. Sally and Lauren welcomed me with huge smiles and made me feel at ease from the second I walked in. It has been since 2016 that I wrote my last review, so I thought I might offer a refresher due to my latest wonderful experience. I had my first filling with Dr. Faist and he made a special effort to ensure my comfort and designed a numbing technique that catered to my oral sensitivities. He was efficient, kind, and comprehensive in his approach. Truly all you can ask for in a dentist. Plus when I expressed my nervousness he told me "I was the boss" and that we could take a break whenever I needed - which seems silly and anecdotal, but when you're put in an otherwise vulnerable position such as getting a cavity filled, it gave me a mild sense of control and ultimately calmed my nerves. Additionally, his dental assistant and lead back office took extra time to check in with me and hold my hand through the process. Recently had a sinus lift in order to complete the process of dental implant on an upper molar. The lift process was longer than expected and after the numbness wore off the following morning, I discovered I had a huge cancer sore inside my mouth where the mouth guard implement had rubbed and chaffed my inner lip during the entire process. The numbed side of my face didn't allow me to feel the ongoing irritation during the 2 hour procedure. read more

I mainly come in for routine cleanings and the occasional cavity fix. Friendly staff that take my anxiety seriously and are consistently transparent about process and payment. In terms of payment they are sensitive to the fact that I do not have dental insurance and are willing to work with my budget to insure the health of my teeth. One of the few dentists I've encountered that informed of possible procedures I can do but do not coerce or guilt me for not doing them, however if I do need to do something reconstructive I trust them to be able to be transparent about costs and to help it be affordable for me. Fulbright has done a lot for me and my wife. She had invisalign and her teeth look great! They were pretty messed up before Dr. Fulbright straightened them out. I had all my old, decayed silver fillings replace with beautiful porcelain fillings. After having many nightmare experiences at other dental offices, I'm so glad I found Dr. Fulbright and his team to turn my attitude around about dentists. Since I've started coming here over a year ago, I always feel like I'm in great hands and never leave feeling my teeth have just been ambushed. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Sue gives the best teeth cleanings I've ever had. Everything seems to be done in the most efficient manner in this office and the results have shown in the improved quality of my teeth. They fitted me with a night guard that has helped tremendously with my clenching at night. Less gum receding and no more tension headaches. They also have a teeth cleaning system to reduce cavities. I'm someone who takes great care of my teeth but have terrible genes as far as cavities go. I really needed something like this. I can't say enough great things about this place. I really enjoyed my visit with Dr Fulbright. I went in to see him for a night guard because I grind my teeth and he spent a surprising amount of time with me answering questions. The technician that did my impressions did a really great job the sample they showed me in the office looks a lot different then most night guard I've seen.
