They do sometimes have hand sanitizer but I keep my own in my car as well as wipes. They're located in the Gardena Market's parking lot so parking can be hit or miss. I've not had a bad experience coming here but I don't know what they could do for me to call them excellent. They're just a convenient and competent recycling center. I couldn't say how their rates compare because I go them mainly for the convenience.

A person was cleaning the area when I went there. Though it looked simple and might be a little outdated, overall it was clean with no trash smells. A very tall guy helped me, and I was there in and out. Very fast service and friendly people. This might be my new recycling place!

At its core, a very simple and reliable recycling service!…read more Aim to organize your glass bottles, aluminum cans, and plastic bottles/gallons prior to coming over so you're in and out. This place has its own sanitation station, but I highly recommend bringing your own gloves and hand sanitizer. Aluminum and plastic bottles go into the orange net baskets (but should be separated). Large plastic gallons should be placed on top of small/standard water bottles. Glass bottles go into the grey plastic bins. If you come right before they open at 9AM, you'll likely run into 1-2 parties trying to be in and out of there as well. I always run into families here, but the community as a whole is pretty good about not hogging containers/baskets.

The "new guy" told me, "in the bins", and when I tried to explain what I had going, he just talked over me and said, "IN THE BINS MA'AM!". I tried to understand, or get him to explain, such as, was there a new owner? He never answered that instead just said, "limit of 15 for each type". So, I left. He was so rude! I thought the law was that if you pay a 5c deposit on a bottle, you're supposed to get 5c back?!

When I called to get more information, the receptionist was super friendly & helpful and let me know they could arrange to bring a dumpster to my house if I needed (but I didn't). She also gave me a general estimate over the phone. So when I finally rolled up with my load of bricks, I was totally preparing to talk fast to get the "friends and family" rate if she was wrong, but as she had estimated, the price was so cheap that I didn't even bother! My friend who was assisting me in dumping the bricks has more experience with LA dumps and even he was shocked at how cheap it was! So of course, this is primarily a cash-only transaction (they might take credit cards if your bill gets bigger, but I'd call and ask), so I had to leave my DL as collateral and hit the bank. The workers were totally cool & accommodating. So this is my big thank you to this company for making the disposal of a fireplace & chimney a fast, painless, and cheap process.
