I can not say enough good things about Dr. Jasti! We have 2 dogs which he always treated with care and professionalism. We moved and now drive 30 minutes to see him and will continue to do so as long as we are pet owners. Recently our youngest, a 2 year old Standard Poodle, started having seizures. Dr. Jasti has gone above and beyond in his care for Duke. As you can imagine this has/is an extremely frightening and stressful experience. He has held our hand through the entire process from always taking our calls (he sees my number come up and just answers himself, lol), calling back to check on Duke, etc. and not asking to do any unnecessary expensive medical procedures. He has been there as we regulate his medications and work to get his epilepsy under control. I do not ever wish this condition on any pet owner, but we could not have asked for a better vet to help us through this and be there for us and Duke! If you love your pets, like we do you could not ask for a better person to care for them! read more

I have been a long time customer of S Gessner Pet Clinic. They been my go-to with all of my pets for over 10 years. They have recently made a change of ownership and we love the new doctor just as much! Our dog was stung by a red wasp and we were able to get in right away. The doctor came out from the back and looked at my poor pup and made us feel like everything was ok. Our pup is doing great now too. We had been bringing our Dog Saint here since he was a puppy. We had a Lipoma removal for Saint done in March. A few weeks after he started leaking from the incision area and no one here was available so we had to take him to the ER. After a second round of antibiotics the incision cleared but a week after the completion of the antibiotics, our buddy started breathing hard and could hardly move around. I called south gessner to make an appointment for him and was told that the doctor would be out for two weeks! This was also the time that the dr should have seen him for his follow up appointment after the surgery. We had to take Saint to another vet closer to us where we found out he had fluid around his heart and in his lungs. We were giving diuretics but later that evening after Saint passed out, we had to put him to sleep. It was a terrible experience having to rely on a new doctor to care for our buddy but in all honesty, they did a better job than this place ever did. Saint was the best dog anyone could have ever asked for. We have yet to hear from this clinic about Saint passing. Even the new vet sent a card in the mail with his condolences. read more

I am 56 years old and have always had pets in my life, both dogs and cats. I've met many vets over the years, and I can say unequivocally that Dr. Jasti is the best I have ever known. He is experienced, kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. My wife and I first met Dr. Jasti a few years ago at another veterinary clinic where he worked previously, before taking over at South Gessner Pet Clinic. Of course, we followed him here. We currently have 4 cats and 2 dogs, all of whom were once homeless, but are now members of our family. We know that they are in good hands with Dr. Jasti and his excellent staff. He recently guided us through a sorrowful experience with a young stray that we found terribly injured and lying in the street. Although the injuries were too severe and the little guy didn't make it, Dr. Jasti did everything possible to help us. He and his assistants care not only about our pets, but also about us. When you first walk into the door, you can already tell the staff loves animals. They are not institutionalized like Banfield. When I first started coming here, Dr. Martin told me that my dog didn't need a certain shot that Banfield gave my dog! I was horrified. I have been a loyal customer for the last 10 years. read more

Just found out this vet does not know anything about real care for animals. I verified through 2 different professionals. Both said the same thing. They would not treat a dog the same way this vet does. He is inept at best. At worst he is a thief. I spent a lot of money so he could make my dog sicker. I just called this place at 8:07am this morning to possibly make an appointment and get some info as I have not been there before. After about 25 rings someone answered - no joke. I asked the person who answered what time they open and what was the reason for the delay in the phone being answered as I almost hung up. She tells me that she was by herself and cleaning one of the cat cages....!? That comes before answering the phone? Her colleague was late and the dr wasn't expected for a while. Frankly, I'm certain that she was hoping the call would have gone away, and she answered only because I let it ring for so long. Sorry I have received a bad impression immediately. We recently got our pup spayed. This is our first dog every, and I had tons of questions about spaying & aftercare. Dr.Jasti is very professional and took care of our fur baby & he actually texted my husband a picture of her after the surgery and followed up with us for next few days. Our Ladybug (10 yr old cocker spaniel) was very sick. I stopped by first thing Monday morning presidents day 2014. The first person I spoke to was Tabitha. She is beyond amazing, she was so comforting, caring and compassionate. I couldn't keep it together, I knew we were losing our sweet, sweet Ladybug. We had to put her down, she was too far gone. She was such a blessing to us and Tabitha made sure we got to bring her ashes back home with us. Now we have another sweet blessing Baliey (our Beagle puppy) and of course she goes to Gessner Pet Clinic. We love this place. read more

This place is the worst ever!!!! I took my dog here on a Thurdsay because it was close by and she was having trouble walking. When I first walked in, I wasn't greeted by the woman at the desk. I walked around to the sign with the arrow for dogs thinking that's where I would sign in. Then the woman said, can I help you? I still didn't know that she was speaking to me because she didn't look at me. I thought she was on the phone. There was one other dog before mine and I waited 30 mins before being seen. When seen, I had no problem with the exam and info. that Dr. Martin gave me. My dog had a test done that I was told would take 20 mins. to complete. The office moves slower than a turtle. It's now noon and I tell them that I need to leave and was told they would call me with results in 20 mins. About 2 hours later, I called with a list of medication names that the Dr. wanted and was told it would be another 5 mins. before results were ready. So, 20 mins. is now 2 1/2 hours later! I never received a call and no results! I called a couple days later to ask why I hadn't been contacted and was told, they did call and left a message. I checked my missed call log and voice mail and no call was received from them. I was then rudely told by Tabitha that I should have called to follow up and that 4 people should be working there, but there's only 2 and she added "so how about that". I let her know that it is not my problem that she has working conditions issues and that I wanted a refund for the test that I paid for and received nothing in return. She continued to argue with me and then HUNG UP ON ME!!!!! I called right back and they put the voicemail on and I left a message. Of course I didn't receive a return call so I call back the next day and asked to speak to Dr. Martin and was placed on hold for 10 mins. I called back 5 times in a row and 4 times went unanswered. The 5th time was answered and I was slapped on hold again. After 4 mins, I hung up and have made 13 calls total. I will send a letter demanding my money back and send a copy to the BBB and medical licensing board in attempt to get a response. I have never experience such utter rudeness and lack of customer service in my life. Seriously, who can run a business like this? They have not heard the last of me. read more

I have been a long time customer of South Gessner Pet Clinic. My dog Taz recently had to be put to sleep last week. He was 14 years old. I have been bringing him here since he was 6 weeks old. It was EXTREMELY hard for me to make the decision I had to make for him, but unfortunately the decision to not allow him to suffer was the one I made. Dr. Harris was the doctor that day and unfortunately had to be the one to break the bad news to me; however still giving me a few options that could possibly be done for Taz. He was very caring and patient with me in allowing me to make whatever decision I felt I had to make. He gave me all the time I needed no rush or fuss about anything. After I made my decision Dr. Harris allowed me to stay with Taz for some hours and could have stayed longer if I needed to. I wanted to thank Dr. Harris and Dr. Martin for taking care of my baby for so many years. You both have been great with him even though you had to muzzle him. He was a handful at times since he was a hyper one, but you all did a wonderful job. I wanted to also give special thanks to Tabatha for being the light of my day whenever I called or came into the office and took care of the parents of the patients like they were the only ones there. I am very grateful for having this staff on one of the saddest days of my life. You all are wonderful and please keep up the good work. If I have the nerve to get another baby you all will see me again for sure. read more
