Where do I even begin?! This was seriously a highlight of the Big Island! Not only is the concept super cute, but the food was AMAZING. We had a hard time even picking what to get, as there were so many delicious options and they were still warm when we got there early in the day. We shared a ham and cheese bread and a macadamia nut brownie. Both were SO GOOD and I love how adorable the baking stand is. I really appreciated that it was easy (honor system paying) and that it was set up as a quick pick up and go. This bread stand is a hidden gem! Everything was absolutely delicious and highly recommend to anyone driving by to stop or even turn around which was what we did! Their pricing is surprisingly low and well worth what we enjoyed. They restock Tuesday-Saturday at 11AM (or really close to) trust it is worth it to wait. The jalapeño bacon cheddar loaf had an excellent cheese crust, generous bacon, and soft pillowy inside. The stand operates on good faith and I hope everyone tips generously as I stated, the prices are lower than the product is worth. This is the best place for baked goods on the island. It's just a little self serve stand on the side of the road but if you pass it by, you are missing out. We had it for the first time 2 years ago and drove to get more 3x during that trip. The coconut pineapple bread is one of the best things I have ever tasted. The ube cookies are awesome. The bacon cheese bread and Jalepeno cheddar bread are also favorites of ours. You really can't go wrong with anything at this stand. She is a magician with baked goods. If you go at the right time you can enjoy hot bread too. I wish I had a bakery even close to this good back home. The owner is super sweet and friendly if you happen to see her restocking. Found this place after visiting painted church. What a treat. They take Venmo. Lemonade is awesome. I had the best almond croissant I've ever had. Hubby loved the cheese and jalapeño and ham bread. My son lives on the Big Island and I had noticed the Bread Basket sign every time we drove by. We finally stopped by yesterday and luck was with us as the owner was there putting out fresh, hot products. I chose a Parmesan tomato herb loaf and my son a ham, cheese jalepeno loaf. My bread was crunchy, chewy and soft on the inside. So darn good that the 3 of us wolfed it down fast. I really didn't want to share. Lol. Andrew wasn't expecting his loaf to be stuffed. Yeah, that's gone also. He said he'd make a stop there before work. She also had some desserts. Sierra chose this large purple cookie. WTH. I didn't know what Ume was. ( I do now). Outstanding cookie. We bought a few pastries all made with local grown fruit. I'm so happy we stopped here. I'm sure I can take some home with me. read more

Found it on our way back from the beach a couple of days ago, just went back today and now plan on going back tomorrow for our third stop and taking some items back to Montana with us.we have had two different loaves with turmeric and today the Bacon, cheese and jalapeño baguette never made it back to our condo, it mysteriously disappeared before we got back home. We love this little roadside stand near Honaunau. We always grab 4 or 5 items and leave a little extra in the cash box. There is nothing like homemade, super fresh baked goods! Some of our favorites are the jalapeño cheese bread, coconut pineapple loaf, and the chocolate chip cookie is absolutely unlike any other chocolate chip cookie anywhere! All are well worth the price and never disappoint. We are so blessed to partake of this baker's delights! read more

We stopped here on our most recent trip to Big Island and got a variety of items. We collectively agreed that the turmeric rosemary loaf was the best bread ever! Very cute little stand we encountered while driving to and from kayaking around Kealakekua bay (near the Honaunau/Two step). It was literally a few hundred feet from the Two Step bakery stand, which we also sampled. We tried the sourdough, macadamia brownie, ube cookie, mango-lime-dragonfruit bar, and some other items I forgot. VERY tasty and fresh! Prices about the same as supermarkets or other bakeries on the island. Either drop cash in a box or Venmo. **Not overly sweet, which our family appreciated. The mango-lime-dragonfruit bar and the macadamia brownie were our favorites. Wonderful balance of sweet and tangy flavor! No (major) sugar rush afterwards, haha. Sourdough bread was very good, still slightly warm from the oven. Everything was wrapped and labeled nicely, packaged carefully. Would definitely stop by again if in the area. read more

My only suggestion would be to raise your prices, because those were the two best things I had during my entire visit to the island! We stopped on the way out of two step beach and grabbed a mango cake, some bread and some cookies. Everything was fresh highly recommend this as a stop for some grab and go goodness. Mango cake didn't make it home it was that fresh and tasty. read more

What an amazing find! I had been looking all over for banana bread and my family thought I was crazy. After almost giving up I saw this super cute stand. While they didn't have banana bread at the time they had some of the best baked goods I've had in a long time. We loaded up and the owner happened to be refreshing when we're getting ready to leave and she gave my kids a bunch of extras. It really was awesome and if you're in the area it's a can't miss.
