This Ace always has friendly staff greeting you at the door and has the small little replacement part that I need. Today I walked in, and showed the gentleman in the front a broken drain O-ring. He said he was sure he had a replacement and had someone meet me at the service counter. Within 5 minutes, the very competent young man found the replacement and also gave me a size up and down, just in case. This place totally rocks. When I walk in, they always ask what I am looking for and then take me right to what I need. The only time I have not had anyone ask me is when they are busy. I have to say, I am always the designated driver, whether it is going out for dinner and drinks or if he is working on something at home and needs something, you know, like parts for the toilet or some type of electrical item, both are something I do not know a lot about. That is where the people here come in handy. I go in, tell them what I need and come home with the needed part or item. I have never come home with the wrong part or item. They are always cheerful and helpful. They are locally owned and I prefer to support locals if I can. Sometimes the price is a bit higher, but if it saves me time and gas and supports a local, it is totally worth it. They have special events and great tent sales. Do not purchase chainsaw chains from this location. I bought a chain for a 16" chain and was given a chain larger than the specifications ON THE BOX. It sounds like a common occurrence because the guy behind me in line said the same thing happened to him. I took a few patio doors and window screens in to be repaired and/or replaced and the process from start to finish was extremely easy. Very reasonably priced, done in about a week, and turned out great. So much easier than going through a window and door company. A gentlemen took the heavy screen doors out to our truck for us. Neighborhood Ace Hardware stores are getting rare, but to me they are preferable to the big box stores. Big is cancer, small and local is better for the neighborhood. I've found the workers here to be pretty helpful, friendly and the prices good. Parking is easy out front, it's in a strip mall. The questions I've gotten answered here would not have been answered (correctly) at one of the dreaded big box monstrosities, if I had been able to find a worker interested enough to ask. read more

No longer your friendly, knowledgeable neighborhood store. I took a screen door in to have the screen replaced. They weren't familiar with flat spline used by this manufacturer, but, rather than admit they didn't know and ask me what brand of door it was, they put some other spline in that immediately fell out as soon as I got it home. Took it back, waited a week, and still they never called to tell me they were stumped. Just admit what you don't know and move on! Also, their prices are HIGH! $8 for a pack of 3 off brand light bulbs for my ceiling fan that lasted two weeks. Finally, what's with that guy standing at the door all the time? Creepy! read more

I frequently go to my friendly neighborhood hardware store, and never have a problem finding what I need. And if I can't, there is an employee there to help me find it or something that might help. Never did I expect to have something fixed for FREE... What I expected is after I PAID to have my screen door fixed and promised to have it returned in two weeks... That after three and a half weeks, I would get a phone call telling me about why there was such a delay. ALSO, after already paying for the parts, a phone call was expected if different and more expense parts were needed ....BEFORE just replacing. And as far as the "swearing"... Yes! The whole situation and you laughing at a customer concern was and still is BULL$&@/!!!! read more

After more then two weeks (on line order to be shipped to the store) I emailed. So far they answered 'one' of my six emails. The email said the product was at the store. Spent 20 minutes at the store Saturday morning and they couldn't figure it out. Had nothing. They said I'm on my own to get it taken care of. The helpful hardware man must have been on vacation.
