When I picked them up they were $900+. He'd been talking about the frames NOT the frames and lenses, and without consulting me he had ordered the most expensive lenses. I was shocked. They had a responsibility to make sure I knew the prices, and had many opportunities to tell me. In addition they used the temples from my old glasses for the new pair. I'd left them behind because the bridge was broken and I thought they needed them to help pick out the next pair b/c I wanted the same frame. No one told me this either. I used to like this shop.

I was a bit skeptical due to the location being inside of the town center, however I had no issues parking inside of the garage located closest to Target, and then taking a short walk. The young lady that assisted me with my eye tests was amazing! I always get anxiety prior to the glaucoma examination, however she was super patient with me and made sure I was comfortable before proceeding. Now for Dr. Shields: VERY personable, knowledgeable, patient to say the least. He took his time, explained everything to me from the health of my eye, to making recommendation for Lasik, answering my questions. Overall the customer service is a 10/10 SUPERB

Then months later, they send you another bill saying you owe MORE money than what you already paid! There is no itemized bill either. Corrupt and shady business trying to screw people over. They were totally professional and thorough in considering my needs. My new prescription was a bit unusual because it is a temporary fix between cataract surgeries. So they spoke to my doctor directly to confirm it was being filled correctly. They promised to turn them around in two days, and they were done on time. I will certainly continue to use them for my eyeglasses needs.

Bought some montblanc sunglasses awhile ago from Nordstrom rack (there was no warranty). The…read moreglasses ended up losing the screws that held the frame and earpieces together. I searched high and low for anyone who could fix them but nobody carry's montblanc anything. Called about 5 shops, went into 2 optometrists in the area. Nobody could help. Online there were no repair kits that had the size required to fix my sunglasses. I called McNelly and spoke with Linda Kintu. She was super helpful and even went out of her way to help me find montblanc's repair website. Unfortunately that ended up not working out, but Linda said I could come in and they could see what they could do to help. When I arrived at the storefront, Linda was very welcoming and nice! Absolute people person. Linda and Ed Marshall took a look at my glasses and realized that it would require a specialized custom part to fix them, and that they didn't have the part. However, they decided to go above and beyond to help me and were able to somehow construct the part needed out of what they had in the shop. Never expected my glasses to get fixed so I gotta recommend McNelly and both Linda and Ed for their help.

Basically things that weren't covered by insurance I was told were required, and only upon checkout did I find out they were optional. - When time came to order up glasses / contacts - was quoted pricing without my insurance. When I asked about cost with insurance, I got a dumbfounded look. "Insurance, can you apply my insurance against that cost?" "OH! yeah, let me do that." They had also pitched me an ongoing offer on contacts. But then the person checking me out couldn't figure out how to apply it, and instead handed me the flyer and told me to try to do it myself on the website. Well shocker, I did it - but then they wouldn't honor the discount because that was a 'Website special.' Never - NEVER again will I visit. Complete hacks.

Kelsey was such a sweetheart greeting me when I checked in and helping to do the initial tests when I arrived. Dr. Simoncini was so kind and informative, explaining everything every step of the appointment. He was very encouraging during the exam, and I learned a lot about my eyes that I had never had explained before (what is an Astigmatism, why are "floaters" called that and why do they exist?). Made another appointment to have issues checked, told by the Dr. that the reading portion was too high & needed redone but he wasn't going to change the prescription. I told him I was seeing better with my old glasses, Picked up both new pair on 5/19/26 and had the same problem was told to give it two weeks. Decided to go to America's Best in Bowie they found that my new prescription should have be slightly higher than my old pair which I wasn't having a problem with, Annapolis had lowered the strength in both eyes.
