Sun.Surf.Sand.And one Super Taco shop named South Shore Taco Guy.Last night my wife and I traveled to this highly rated restaurant and were very excited because of the great reviews.My wife ordered the Vegan burrito made with rice,broccoli,onions ,cauliflower,vegan meat and vegan cheese and salsa .She loved it and ate the rest of it today for lunch.I of course ordered the steak nachos that did not disappoint.These great nachos came with delicious steak,onions,jalapeños and queso.I added some rice and hot sauce to the nachos and had a great dining experience.We also had chips and guacamole that were lightly salted and flavorful.The food was prepared right in front of you by a very attentive staff who took pride in their culinary talents.They are such great people that they had a sign in their restaurant promoting a deli a few doors down! AUTHENTIC MEXICAN TACOS! Decided to have one of these freshly made Tacos which I chose one Pork and one Chicken Taco. Fully dressed and a dolloped of fresh sour cream! Presentation was extremely appetizing and better yet, it was super tasty and the pork and chicken were cooked perfectly! Easy to eat and enjoy ! The service was very helpful and pleasant and if you were ordering he would suggest one of each unless your heart was set on one particular style! The menu was prominently posted for easy ordering! This place is bad. I got the regular taco and i believe I had Charles that made my taco. Hailee had to help him figure it out. This happened a little ago but I got yelp recently. It's been a long time since I came back to this establishment after whitnassing the owner berating his young staff. I swore I'd never go back but as soon as I walked in I noticed a great change.,3 adults working well with each other and they were very pleasant. I'm told this group bought out the previous owner! Let me begin by saying, wow! We hired South Shore Taco Guy for our wedding, and all of our guests said this was the best and most unique wedding food they'd ever had. Clint was a breeze to work with - he came on time, set up independently, and served delicious tacos, ceviche, and guacamole. Not only is his food affordable, but the options are flexible, and the tacos are bursting with flavor and authenticity. We live in SoCal and decided to get married on Cape Cod. We were dubious we would find good Mexican food on the East Coast, but South Shore Taco Guy surpassed our expectations. We even had guests from Mexico that were impressed with the spices and food. Great place for Tacos and Burritos -we love the Nachos and they are super shareable. The staff and owner are great - helpful, patient, kind and flexible. We have a food allergy (celiac) and they have been safe and honest if we may have a concern with cross contamination (fryers are typically fine, unless they have fried churros or tortillas after they changed the oil that day)! So far no issues. Great food can be had by all! read more

South Shore Taco Guy - Mexican Near Me - Hull, Massachusetts

Heard about this truck on Facebook (thank you to Quincy Foodies!) and had to try some when it was nearby. Not only am I always down for tacos unless you wake me from a dead sleep, but I also wanted to support someone who supports the community. Human kindness is what earned this truck the fifth star. During the pandemic, the SSTG said that if someone is out of a job and broke, he will provide their meal free of charge. If that means I am going to pay a little more, so be it. That said, these tacos are not the cheapest option, setting you back $5-7 per taco. At the same time, these things are massive! Biggest tacos I've seen to date! The value is there for sure, notably because they do not skimp on the meat! They loaded these things with meat and toppings. Wear a large napkin, or clothes you're okay if you get a stain on. Alternatively, you could live on the edge, though I only recommend that if you're a master taco eater. I ended up having a Korean Pork Taco, and another one where I asked to be surprised. The proteins were juicy and full of flavor, and the other toppings were fresh and complimented them very well. They were also well balanced despite their size! Toppings wise, I would have liked a little more onion (there is pico), but not for lack of crunch. (I just like onions on my tacos). The service was also incredibly fast. Even though there wasn't a line around the block, the food came out almost unbelievably fast. Awesome to know this is a well-oiled machine should it be the lunch rush and not the after-work crowd. In closing, these are flavorful, large tacos. While they're not the best I've ever eaten, they're still pretty dang great! When coupled with the fact that if you're down on your luck, they'll help you out, that deserves the 5th star. read more

I got the pork burrito bowl and the gave me two pieces of bone hidden in the middle of all the toppings. The taste was good, but the person working there didn't care enough to make sure the food was all edible. I'm glad I was eating a bowl, if I wasn't using a fork that would have messed up my teeth. read more

Today, I went to the adorable consignment store a few doors down from South Shore Taco Guy. I say the cool sign and my stomach started grumbling. I walked in and was greeted by a very friendly older gentleman who was working the counter. It was my 1st time there and the menu has a lot of options so I was momentarily stuck. He saw this and gave me a piece of the grilled chicken. It was so tasty - well seasoned and not dry or salty. He made my decision easier and I got the grilled chicken burrito bowl with a side of corn tortilla chips. I got the grilled chicken on house rice, mix of black beans and refried beans, guacamole, Pico de gallo, sour cream, Mexican cheese, fresh cilantro and limes. It was very good in terms of the taste and freshness.. It was $15 for a bowl and while it was very tasty and fresh, the portions weren't too big. The restaurant is family-owned and they were lovely! It is nice to see a good take out restaurant that is family owned bring new life back to the beach front commercial area. Love supporting local restaurants and family owned restaurant. read more

I went to their new spot in Hull that opened this week. I live nearby. Today was cold and windy and just wanted something different. I ordered a steak burrito with yellow rice, black ,+beans, and guacamole. I had take out and didn't eat there, although it's very inviting and cool looking. OMG!!! The flavor was incredible!!! The steak was so good, and you can taste seasoning on the steak but you still get the tender sweetness of the delicious steak. I'm telling you, I was blown away! I'm happy to have another option in Hull that's not pizza or wings. This is not fast food! It's real food fast! I was happy all day I went there. I recently hired them for a party I had of 75 people. They showed up late. They also forgot some of the food so we hate to wait even longer for the food to be delivered. They did not have all the food items that were listed on the "deluxe" menu. they provided dirty cocktail tables with no table clothes for my guests to eat. They also ruined my driveway with grease from the grills. They did give a 50% refund back to me which does not mitigate the terrible experience, the embarrassment, or the driveway that needs to be repaved. I do not recommend them. Maybe if the owner was there it would have been better but I was told he was out of town. Instead they sent two kids who didnt know what they were doing and one of them it was his very first day. read more

Zero stars. We have been struggling planning a covid safe wedding for months and had arranged for these guys to come from 9pm-10:30pm for a late night tacos. Originally this guy texts the bride a week before the wedding trying to back out. He went as far to say "it's not worth his time" then asked for $1300 cash for 50 people for 90 minutes of work... what is your time worth if not $865 an hour? After we called him on this, he agreed to come again. Day of the wedding, DURING THE RECEPTION, at 8:10pm, he cancelled. 50 minutes before he was supposed to come, after demanding cash only, he texts the bride to cancel. Yes. A text message to the BRIDE in the middle of the reception. He texted his "second in command has been stealing from him so he won't be able to come".......
