SCSC A-Armor Lock & Security was my first experience requiring a locksmith to come out after I accidentally locked my wife and I out of the house. The young lady who answered was very professional and extremely helpful with any question we asked. She also was kind enough to call us back to inform us that their locksmith would be arriving much sooner than originally anticipated. When the gentleman arrived he knew at a glance what to do and explained everything as he worked. He even managed to salvage the existing doorknob and lock, but did strongly advise getting a new one as a precaution. The price was very reasonable for such quality service. Wow! I've only dealt with a handful of locksmiths over the years, but these guys are by far the most professional I've ever seen. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the typical family-owned, one-man shop you typically find, but SCSC A-Armor Lock and Security are seemingly prepared for any contingency. The shop is extremely well-equipped with five workbenches in the back, four technicians were working on locks at the time, an extensive inventory on display out front, and a huge stockroom in the back with shelves filled with hardware. I merely came in to have a deadbolt cylinder repaired - it took the technician perhaps 10-15 minutes to disassemble the unit, locate the faulty spring, and then reassemble and check out after I gave my approval... ten bucks to repair? APPROVED! Well-staffed with competent, friendly folks that really know their stuff and charge reasonable prices... it really doesn't get any better than this. read more

Disappointed, these guys were not helpful. I called on a Saturday, because these guys were close to home and open until 3:00pm. When I called, the locksmith at A-Armor was very short with me on the phone, and when I asked if they cut car keys with transponder chips, the locksmith hung up on me. I thought maybe we just had a bad connection. Called back a few minutes later to hear the line pick up, and hang up. Wow. So the takeaway here is, these guys don't cut car keys with transponder chips. I get it. Obviously I didn't follow through on the experience, because these guys don't do the work. read more

The battery on my car was dead. I needed someone early in the morning. I called 3 local locksmiths and all were closed. I found A-Armor and called to make sure they were open. The lady that answered was very nice and helpful. I came in, fixed the batteries on both our family cars and the spares (4 total), even had them make two spare house keys for me. Spent less than $50 on everything. The man that helped me (didn't catch him name) was also very nice. Will definitely be coming back here if I need this service again. read more

Paid $500 to have this company come make us 3 sets of keys...they forgot one. Upon calling them to have it corrected and the remaining key copied, they sent out a different locksmith who came to our business - looked at our key and said he did not have that key in his truck and couldnt help us. I called "Dave" with the SCSC to ask how he might be able to help us moving forward and if he could send another locksmith out...he was beyond rude to say the least. Decided to go elsewhere due to how I was being treated. Save your time, time and frustration....find another locksmith. read more

I can't recommend this company more highly . They responded to my call quickly. My handle and dead bolt both broke. Joe came out and discovered it was under a lifetime warranty. I was able to order the parts and they came back out and fixed it for me saving me over $300.Honesty, reliability and good character are hard to come by these days. read more

Went here to have a factory OEM Honda car key cut. After waiting 30 mins the tech came back with a ruined key. They said their key mill was broken and they would order a new one and we'll call when it's in. A week later they did call and I came back to get the key redone. I arrived and they handed me a Chinese knockoff key replacement blank and said their machine was broke and I would have to go to their shop in Laguna Hills! Strike 3 your out. I cut my losses had to buy another factory OEM key and went to another locksmith who did it right. Sadly I cannot recommend them. read more

Make sure that you know about their work warranty: We called them once to do a minor repair on a door lock and make us the spare key. The door lock was fine before that - it was just loose. But now, the key that they made got stuck in the door lock. When we called, they said it's over the warranty...come on! if you fixed the door lock and also made the key - then it must have something to do with what you did! This is like going to the car repair shop. You go to have your car fixed for one thing and leave happy but before long, something's wrong and you have to go back to have it repaired (again)!!! Businessess should warrant their work for 1 year or at the VERY LEAST, 6 months. A client does not need to go back every 1 month or every 3 months to have the same thing fixed. Because if that's the case, then there's something wrong with the quality of service that you provide.... read more

In my continue pursuit to find a cheaper place to make my transponder key for 08 Sienna: 70 plus tax. Well, I decided to use these guys to have my transponder key copied. Partly, because I was tired of calling around and partly because I lost track of who I called. The guy that helped me was like a robot but did a quick job of copying the keys. I asked him if it would be cheaper to have two copies made rather than just one. Initially, he said they would be 70 each, but changed his mind after and gave me a $15 discount on the second. So, $125 for two, plus tax. Also, the keys he used was some sort of Ilco brand key with a battery powered key inside. Not sure why it was made like that but it works. read more
