The food at this location is getting more consistent which it desperately needed. This particular visit however we ordered two meals, got home, and we didn't have any dipping sauce. This ruins the entire meal with nothing to dip the chicken in. They asked us when we ordered and again at the window and we still didn't get it. As a person married to a Louisianan, I will tread carefully with this review. I will say that the chicken was juicy and flavorful but the presence of grease loomed quite clear. The food is delicious and portion sizes are ok. Sides could be bigger for the prices they charge. The biggest complaint I have about them is the price, they are the priciest chicken around I think. But good. There is a double sided drive through and a walk up window to place your orders, no indoor seating. They are relatively fast, one thing is ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ORDER!!!! They often get it wrong or forget something!!!!!!! But sadly this is the normal everywhere now! All in all they are still my favorite local chicken. I dont live far from the Mansfield location and visit frequently. I love their food its always good and consistent. Best chicken intown by far, however i also love their redbeans and rice. So much so that when me and my wife go we get two sides just so we dont have to share. However on this visit im not sure what happened but the redbeans and rice were TERRIBLE!!!!! There was not nearly enough beans, WAY to much rice and the flavor was off. Hope its fixed soon or else ill have to find another place for good food. read more

Billy Joe J. has already said it all and better than I can. This is the best fried chicken to be found in the Shreveport/Bossier area. I sometimes try to stay away a while longer because I always eat more than I should. It's just that good. Today our 2 year old daughter came to us and exclaimed, "I hungry. I want food! It's not like we eat fried chicken that often because we don't and we haven't ever heard her talk about it other that at the moments when we have some. Our little girl knew exactly what she was craving! So, that explains today's visit. Sometimes only a box of Southern Classic's fried chicken will tame the hungry beast within. Like Billy Joe J., we were excited when we saw a Southern Classic being built out this way so we wouldn't have to drive as far. Worst attitude I've ever seen. I will never return to this location. I've never seen a place that you were required to wear a mask at a outside walk up window. The lady behind the counter would not wait on me at all. What's worse is she told me that a mask was required but yet hers was on her chin only, with her mouth and nose exposed. This is absolutely the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. Crisp and brown and delicious. Always tastes fresh and made to order. The cars wrap around the building. The prices are fantastic. We love the place. However, the sides suck. No flavor red beans and rice. Limp, greasy french fried potatoes that leave you with heartburn and indigestion. How they can cook the chicken so beautifully and serve awful everything else I will never know. I have asked for the potatoes to be cooked crispy. A bit better, but still causes me to choke and gag after just eating a portion. To me french fries should be crispy and brown, not greasy, limp and white. Is there any way that can be corrected. Please! We would go all the time if they could do everything good. As it is we rarely go. Still though they do a really great business so must be others do like greasy and limp fries. We always get the white meat, but I am plnning to try the strips as I have read good reviews about them. And I am going to ask the workers to please cook the potatoes till brown for me if they will.
