Ordered on line. Went to website and realized after the fact that Grub Hub was managing. I do not use Grubhub. I called GH and told them I did not want them as intermediary. I don't know how they keep getting involved in my orders. I told GH that I had no clue what time the order would be ready and they could cancel. I called Firehouse and got no answer. The GH lady said they couldn't cancel because Firehouse had started the order. Picked up without difficulty. The sandwiches were really good. Warm bread! I had the turkey, dressing, and cranberry sauce. Delicious! My other half had the steak and cheese and really enjoyed it. Will definitely order from them again! read more

I love, love, love this place (location: Youree dr.) always clean, fast service, friendly workers very professional and not to mention the sandwiches are hands down THE BEST the day I went for lunch I had the new CAPTAIN'S CLUB (price may vary with size) so tasty and fresh per usual warm bread and comes with a pickle spear (see ingredients on picture slide) I also added mayo even tho it comes with a sauce (my preference) but all that to say if you are looking for a great sandwich spot for lunch stop by here I give it a five star!! read more

It feels like a subways (food) mixed with five guys (atmosphere) minus the barrels of peanuts. They have some nifty sub ideas including some clearly southern themed, like the Cajun chicken. Be warned, the difference between and small, medium, large sandwich is drastic so if you haven't dined at one of these before, make sure to ask. Overall, the service is a little slow, but perfectly pleasant, and pleasant is probably the word I'd use to describe the whole experience. read more

The wait is ridiculous. Before I ordered, the guy said "it's going to be a long wait". He told me 20-30 minutes for a sandwich. Four workers so not sure what's going on. The worker has turned people away from ordering. I've never been to a place that takes this long to make a sandwich and not in any hurry. There's about 10-15 min per order with nothing coming out. Do not stop here. I asked them what was the problem and they blamed it on staff shortage and underpaid. He said he had been there since 10. Keep in mind it was only 12:50. I told him that's no excuse. Every time I've ever been to Firehouse it's always 4-5 workers. So, what makes this any different? Literally making a sandwich every 15 minutes. Utterly ridiculous. Not to mention my sandwich was around 2-3 inches and 2 cost me $20. We won't be back. read more

I tried to call in a order 2/4/22 6 times they kept answering then hanging while laughing. Finally got through to the guy I didn't want a soggy bread separate it. Well the sandwich was disgusting had a half a jar of mayo turkey looked nasty & a huge amount of lettuce when I said LITE LETTUCE! There was so much mayo that the $8 sandwich I had to throw away it was literally stuck to bag. Restaurant was dirty, broom and dustpan next to the refrigerator on front line, floor needed swept, not busy, 5 employees, 2 no hair restraints, one came to line put on gloves, didn't wash hands, customer had a call in order, made 3 trips to vehicle, employee finally helped with last load because he had to fill tea. Cashier didn't say Thank you, then when leaving, employee cleaning dining room said have a good one. Does no one say Thank You anymore? Had the turkey breast sandwich, was good but cleanliness and service took away from experience. read more

Tucked in the back of a shopping center in the shadow of Sam's Club, it's easy to overlook Firehouse Subs. But that would be a mistake. Though it is very much in the mold of other sub shops such as Subway, Jersey Mike's, and Quizno's, Firehouse is at least a half-star better than those other joins. Why? It's all about the quality of the food. Though I've only been there once, I was quite impressed with the brisket and cheddar sandwich. And my brother and some other friends I went with all loved their food as well. Firehouse also has one of those awesome Coke machines where you can mix in any number of flavors into your fountain soda. I love those things! And they have Funyons! Woohoo! read more

Couldn't find my ticket, had to use my receipt to complete order. JG score of 3.6/10 for this visit (+1.5 for food, 0 for the atmosphere, +1 for the price, +1.1 for Diet Dr Pepper out of the options machine, 0 for just typical service and 0 for we probably won't return.) The food was good. We got the #4 Italian which was a good sandwich that was hot, soft in the texture, and quite good. Not the best sandwich we have ever had but still a good one. Way better than Subway. Our meal came with a bag of chips and a pickle. It was good. The atmosphere was crowded and loud. Fireman decor in places with lots of windows. Price is easily under our $15 goal. They have Diet Dr Pepper and you can flavor it with different options from one of those cool 100 something or whatever option machines.....they get a 1.1 for this machine. Service was only typical.....nothing special. This is a good sandwich. We will probably not come back here though.....not because it wasn't good, but not BAM enough to get us back. read more

Drove 30 minutes to get a sub and arrived at 8:10 which is 50 minutes before the closing time posted on their door. When we parked the worker proceeded to lock the door as she watched us approach the building. Will never be coming here again. Rude staff. I never, ever eat at Subway, as they are the most consistently filthy restaurants I've ever seen. Firehouse is the same sort of fare, except the food is good and the restaurant is clean. If I want a fast take-out sandwich, I rarely consider anywhere else. Especially at night, when Po-Boy Express is closed and I'm on this side of town. The restaurant is almost always very, very clean. The service is fast, and there is ample table space. The location leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn't face the street and it's a pain to get in and out of that parking lot when Youree is busy, but there is plenty of parking that is well-lit at night. read more

This is the best sandwich place I've ever been! Every time I come here (which is pretty often) I'm delighted. The employees are very kind and always get you exactly what you ordered. It's always pleasantly clean and I've never had any complaints. We came here again tonight and it was very close to closing time but they still let us in and made us fresh food without complaining about it like most places would. Catering order for a special event was not correct, which I understood was due to a broken toaster oven. I could have easily accepted that without difficulty had local staff and management taken a different tone about it. Rather than leading with an acknowledgment and apology about the difficulty this created for the special event, when I raised questions about it and inquired about a discount (2 out of 3 of the sandwiches were not toasted as ordered), the tone I received from local staff and management was that nothing at all was possible to mitigate the problem. Let me be clear -- my poor review of my experience is directly related to how the staff and local management made me feel as a customer; it was never about the money itself. I did not feel heard, appreciated, or understood, and I left the experience with absolutely zero desire to interact with Firehouse Subs staff, store, or company again. I chose Firehouse over Subway for this catering order, and had the staff been trained or empowered to handle this better, I would be willing to do business with you again. As it stands, however, I am left determined not to make a Firehouse choice again and to share my experience with others. To compound the problem, we had to visit the store twice to pick up the full order. Since I live in Bossier, I've always frequented that location, and I have also always sworn by Firehouse as being the best sub spot in the area. Not only great food at the Bossier location, but GREAT service. So of course when I decided to try the Shreveport location, I expected nothing less. I was in for a RUDE awakening (literally).... So with me only having an hour lunch break, right at 12, I knew I would be fighting Youree Drive traffic, so I placed my order over the phone. Simple enough. Well, I arrive and when I walk up to the counter, I tell the lady my name. She hands me my food and a cup. I pay, and as I turn around to fill up my drink cup, I notice the bottom part of the drink machine was wide open. No one mentioned the machine was not working, nor was there any signs. I wasn't sure what was up. I ask a woman who was sweeping in that area if the machine was broken, or what. She was clueless and zero help. So I walk back to the counter and politely ask the girl who gave me my food if I was able to use the drink machine or not. Again, I figured if it was broken, that is something you would make customers aware of before letting them order and pay for drinks. This girl was quite clueless herself. Though she was nice, she had no idea what was going on either. She tells me she thinks they are just "refilling it", so I ask how long that takes because I needed to get back to work. She says probably just a "minute", but that she's not sure, then says "let me go check." Next thing I know, a different lady storms out of the back and completely disrespected me, loudly, in front of the whole place. She comes out with a disgusting attitude yelling on about how "the machine is broken, there is no time limit, it will be fixed when we fix it." For one, the level of disrespect she showed me is never acceptable regardless. But two, had the clueless first employee told me it was broken, NOT THAT IT WAS JUST BEING REFILLED, I would have never had a question on how long it would be. So because an employee relayed the wrong info to me, it's my fault that I didn't know that? I nicely told her that was not close to what I was told at the front and asked if I could just get a refund. This woman rolls her eyes and walks back off to the back. I stand there to the side of the counter for a solid 3 minutes and no one says a word to me. At this point, I hardly had time to eat my food and I had no time to stop elsewhere for a drink. I finally just told them to keep my two dollars and have a great day. So I left with no drink, and no refund. I have never once felt so disrespected and flat out humiliated inside an establishment as I did at Firehouse Shreveport. The one employee needs to be fired for speaking to a customer the way she did me. The others need to figure out what the hell is going on. You couldn't pay me to go back in that place. Oh and my sandwich was on wheat bread when I asked for white. (It was correct on the receipt.) JUST DONT GO!!!!! Drive to Bossier or go somewhere else. read more

I asked the people who worked there what they liked to eat there and all three said that they don't eat any of the food there. I took my chances on the steak and cheese. It was horrible. Don't know what took me so long to finally try this place. Actually, I think I do. I guess the constant passng by of this restaurant is a result of my own ignorance. I just assumed that wth all the other sandwich places around (Quiznos, Subway, Newks, Jersey Mike's and Lenny's) many of which are in the immediate vicinity of this very joint, that this place was just one in the same...I was wrong. Tonight, after trips to Lowe's and Sam's Club, I successfully diverted the wife's attention from Chic-Fil-A (which I do love) and talked her into trying Firehouse Subs. I just thought we'd try something different. I am so glad we stopped by here. I ordered the delicious New York Steamer Sub sandwich (Corned Beef Brisket, pastrami, provolone, mstard, mayo, and italian dressing) I ordered a combo, and for $1.19 more I upsized for a soup instead of chips and got the delicious chili. They have an electronic serve-yourself drink machine that allows you to mix your own flavor perfectly (I chose Coke Zero-Cherry-Vanilla),my wife got the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket which she enjoyed and we got our bebe a kids meal with a hot turkey and provolone, she enjoyed her sandwich, and also for kids, they have these cool, red, plastic, little firefighter helmets they can wear which are free (yeah!). My daughter looked so cute in hers...Firehouse also sells their own delicious hot sauce in these cool, glass fire hydrant containers for $5.99. We all had a really good time and enjoyed our food and the experience immensely. As tasty as the food was, the restaurant was as clean, and the service as fast and as friendly. We really like this restaurant, we just wished it had a big ol' pole in the center of it, so we could slide down it like real firefighters. That would be awesome! read more

We have been ordering sandwich platter for 3 or 4 years now. Normally we are very pleased but not this year. I ordered the platter plus an extra sandwich this year. I was highly disappointed because there was hardly any meat on them. Not only that they only sent 10 slices of onion. The tomatoes were not up to par either. Luckily the sauce is always good. My first experience at Firehouse Subs was at the Shreveport location, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it, despite some initial reservations/concerns. The location is a major demerit, as Youree is a very frustrating street to navigate due to poor light synchronization and the fact that businesses are literally "right on top" of one another. I ended up eating the brisket and cheddar sub, and I was extremely "nervous" about the quality given that many beef products at sub stores are very subpar. I ended up thoroughly enjoying the sandwich. The owners do an excellent job keeping the place clean and keeping the service/pace flowing. As an added bonus, this location has an interactive coke machine that has dozens of options for fountain drink. The Cherry Limeade is among the best I've had, and adds a star to my overall rating. read more

I like this place. When you walk in the staff yells, "Welcome to Firehouse!" They have about a million different hot sauces (probably only 35 or so) and plastic fire hats for the kids--or adults. The steak and cheese is great! Clean. Good service. Delivery through go waiter. read more
