I love chicken salad, and I've always loved Chicken Salad Chick. I've even had good experiences with this location before. But this was the WORST chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. My first impression was that they were using a wheat croissant because it was so dark, and then realized that it was simply overcooked. It also wasn't cut through completely, so it made a mess to try to tear the halves apart. But the biggest mistake was finding two different gristles in the chicken salad, which made it very unappealing. Ok people.....for a chain, I was amazingly surprised at the flavors, the service & the quality!! From the tasting of 5 different flavors, it was a tough decision!! Wow the southwest was rockin, but my final decision rested on a salty, flavorful SASSY SCOTTY on a slightly toasted flaky croissant!! The to go process was simple enough. I ordered and sat on the bench with others waiting on to go orders. The staff lady asked if I was together with a black guy near me. I thought in 2023, those assumptions were dead. Guess not. Anyway, the chicken salad was delicious. The tomato basil soup tasted watery. It is normally very flavorful. This business is a chain but it has a clean environment and nice atmosphere. The service was good but they were very busy.

Always love this place it's upbeat and low key at the same time. I usually bring the hubby in and we can sample before we decide. I did have classic Carol (what can I say I'm basic) in wheat toast and loaded potato soup, which tasted homemade. Both were great. The lady that brought our food out came by to check on us and even took our trays. It's just a happy bright feeling place!... I like coming to Chicken Salad Chick because it's pretty inexpensive, and it's quick. But I'm never blown away by the food. Today I called in a to-go order because I only had a little bit of time for lunch. I got the Cranberry Kelli on a croissant with no sides (mainly because none of the sides are too appetizing to me). I like the subtle sweetness of the cranberries and the crunch from the almonds in the Cranberry Kelli. There are several flavor options to choose from. The sandwich came with a pickle and one of their small pre-packaged sugar cookies for a little over $6 (including tax). Pretty good price. Once I got back to work and picked my sandwich up, I realized the juice from the pickle made the bottom of my sandwich soggy. Gross. When I picked up the sandwich, I also unfortunately found a hair. Gross. I was super hungry and didn't have time to get anything else, so I had to push the grossness out of my mind and eat it anyways. The sandwich is never anything special. Each time I go, the chicken salad to bread ratio seems way off. This was again the case. The bread itself is usually dry too. I also always noticed random "squeaks" when I'm eating it...you know, like the sound of chewing on a random piece of fat. Ew. Not the best quality chicken salad. We ordered from the restaurant's website and doordash was never involved on our end. This is on the restaurant and they've refused to make it right as they seem to think that it's somehow doordash's responsibility. I believe that we will ultimately end up having to perform a chargeback through the credit card company because the restaurant is dead set on keeping the money even though they failed to provide any food. read more

I was intrigued by the name of the store (how fun!) and enthralled that they literally only serve chicken salad! They mean business, people! I approached the counter eyeing the menu on top. The lady at the cashier could probably sense my indecisiveness and asked if I'd like any recommendations. I think I said yes before she even asked her full question. Everything looks great here- I opted for the Fancy Nancy bevause it had grapes and apples! As you can see in my picture they are halved grapes that allow you to fully enjoy the fruit in the chicken salad! The toasted wheat bread was perfectly warm and fluffy. I had a great lunch that day, thanks chicken salad chick! I thought it was fun to know every item on the menu is named after a person in the owner's life. How personal! There is nothing special about it compared to the rest and if I'm being honest, the food is not very good. I had the sassy scotty and it tasted like it had been sitting out all day and the pasta salad was okay. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because I feel bad for the employees. They had only two employees working which did not seem very practical. The woman who gave me my food seemed very distraught and not excited. So many varieties- some with fruit and without, spicy, plain...any chicken salad loving girl can find her dish. The broccoli salad is a side there, and it is just as good as your great aunt's at Easter! Then there are those cookies! They taste like the cookies from my 100 year old hometown bakery. I honestly don't know where to start. I'm the pickiest eater I know. I only ever like the chicken salad I make at home by I figured "let's try it out" I've eaten here two days in a row and I got some to take home for dinner. The fresh fruit that comes as a side is ripe and delicious. The tea is fresh and sodas don't have that nasty "Shreveport water" taste. The chicken salad isn't super mayonnaise-y (is that a word?) it has the perfect amount of flavor. They have everything from plain to zesty and super spicy to boujee fruity. I have tried, Classic Carol, Dixie Chick (onion), and Sassy Scotty (chicken, bacon, ranch, cheese). The pimento cheese is REAL cheese and deadly. "The Chick" meal come with a scoop or sandwich, side, and the most perfect sized cookie to end a meal. Just come eat here. Stop wasting your time. Even if the line is long it moves incredibly fast. I got the Fruity Fran on a croissant with a side of grape salad. The chicken salad was amazing with grapes, pineapple and apples mixed into it and the croissant was delicious and light. The grape salad is green and red grapes mixed with lightly sweetened sour cream topped with a sprinkle of brown sugar and chopped pecans. I love fruit in my chicken salad but my boyfriend does not.
