The food was disappointing. The spicy ranch was extremely hot -- to the point where it overpowered everything else. The rice was plain, clumped together, and tasted old. The chicken had a gritty texture, and the garlic Parmesan sauce was poured on so heavily it became messy rather than flavorful. Unfortunately, I wouldn't order again based on this experience. I am excited! This place had made me super happy. Finally a place on the South side of Shreveport that knows how to cook some good food. To top it off, the owners are as sweet as can be. I've had the, shrimp, combination chicken and shrimp, as well as the beef and the plain. The Chicken and Shrimp Combo is the ticket for me. I'll admit I haven't yet tried his bacon fried rice but as we all know, bacon makes everything better. Soon my friend, soon I will experience you my smokey pig fried rice. Their fried catfish with cornmeal batter is as good as it gets at this price point. I could eat his fried catfish at least 4 days a week. Pro tip: if you get fried fish to go, open up the lid of the styrofoam container before driving away so the perfect crispy batter doesn't get steam-treated. What I've had of his wings I'd rate a 7 out of 10. He has some uncommon and nifty flavors and I haven't yet tried most of them. Personally, I'm not fond of the boneless. His french fries are standard crinkle fries from frozen. What makes them special and highly addictive is his special sauce you need to dip them in. The appearance of this magical sauce is similar to Thousand Island dressing but tastes far superior. (update: I was uncertain before but have confirmed that the magical sauce is his tartar sauce, made fresh by his wife. It's a little sweet along with a little sweet pickle, slight spiciness, and a whole lotta yum). I am unable to say for certain that it is free of all illegal substances. Just do it. read more

Had to be in the area and found this place on yelp. I arrived just before they actually opened but the doors were unlocked so I went in. I was greeted immediately and although they were still setting up the nice man at the window took my order. Being that it was my first time here he helped me through the menu and flavors. Didn't have to wait long and my order was ready and I was on my way. I ate the eggroll immediately. It was the best one I ever had. Most eggrolls are just alright to me, but this one was nice and crispy and lite and not greasy with all the veggies inside tasting so fresh!! No need for any type sauce. I then tasted the boneless chicken wings/nuggets. The one with the sweet chili was very good. But the garlic Parmesan ones didn't do anything for me. The fried rice that comes with the dinner was good as well. I also order the shrimp fried rice and took a taste of that while it was hot. The shrimp were very good- my favorite thing overall. I cracked the lid on the Togo container as suggested by a previous reviewer as I had a long drive home. Once home the food was still warm and good but the garlic Parmesan chicken was very dried out at this time, still edible but just extremely dry and tough. The sweet chili ones were still good. That flavor was a wet sauce vs the garlic Parmesan which seamed to be like a dry seasoning on them. Overall, the food was good, staff was friendly and the prices very reasonable! read more

Good wings but that wait time makes it one and done for me. They don't cook food until you arrive. Which isn't bad but should definitely be advertised as cook to order. Call ahead told 30 minutes. Cool head out from home after 20 minutes arrived paid for food told would be out im a minute. 45 minutes later for 45+20 minutes after ordering we left with food. I noticed that nobody who called in food was ready for pick up. We were all just sitting there waiting. No knock on the staff I believe only 2 ppl were working husband and wife maybe? Had the Hibachi shrimp fried rice today and it was so scrumptious. The lemon pepper and Buffalo chicken wings were the tastiest I have had in a long time. This is my favorite restaurant in shreveport. I discovered it about 10 months ago when I was visiting a friend on this side of town. Even though my house is 25 minutes away, this is the only place I will go for some fast, affordable food. It's so fresh and you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. With a house full of picky eaters, everyone in my house agrees on many things on their menu- making this a staple for us. The rice is the best in the area. The chicken is always hot and never fatty. And the best part is the owners. The sweet guy at the window has never not had a smile on his face. He is always so excited to be helping you. And he's also helpful when I can't decide what to get. This place is absolutely amazing!!! With great food at a great price this place is one of my favorite dinner stops on my way home from work. My favorite flavors are spicy ranch, honey mustard, and garlic Parmesan on occasion, but sometimes the garlic Parmesan can be a little dry. The Japanese fried rice is as good as any expensive hibachi grill that I've been to and maybe even better.
