    Pretty interior
    Candice H.

The catfish nuggets were amazing and fresh. The Mac and cheese was classical perfection. The chicken and collard/cabbage roll was ok - maybe the concept needs more work. But service was wonderful and the ambience was great. I'd love to visit again!!

An okay dining experience. We made a reservation for a large party. It was our group and one other table of 4 occupied in the building. I didn't care for the way the bathroom smelled either. The food took a long time and was only okay tasting. My baked chicken didn't have much taste. The green beans were very salty. The macaroni didn't have a lot of taste either. A lot of people in my party said they weren't crazy about their food. I will say they do a great job of making the food aesthetically appealing! Very disappointing for the price. The staff was okay. The overall experience was eh.

The chicken was alright and a bit dry, the waffle was soggy. The kiosk didn't work either.

Food presentation is great. The ginger ale was the bomb. Fish was good. Mac and cheese was not good at all. Yams were okay. Potato salad was okay. Cornbread was very dry. Only one server so didn't get many refills on drinks which was not her fault. Prob won't return.

    Honey lemon pepper chicken wings

For $20 it's not a bad deal but... The flavor of the wings I got was Honey lemon pepper, I couldn't taste any "Honey". The mac and cheese was lacking cheese and honestly the homemade taste. I didn't care for the sweet potato either, could have used butter and sugar on top. Plus the place didn't have A/C and the restaurant was very very warm. The service was 100% though! I will try again.

Fried Shrimp Collard Greens and Mac and Cheese candied yams

We are back for Mom's 85th Birthday and this place did not disappoint the ambience of smooth R&B jazz laid back influence e filled the air with the sweet aroma of southern cusine filling the air. The Bar area was occupied by locals who patronize the Su day brunch and midday adult beverage vide couples with delicious appetizers. We ordered a broad array of southern cuisines from shrimp crab cakes to wings, pork chops and much much more. The sides were traditional and consistent from Collard greens to Mac and Cheese shuttling over to candied yams not a buffet but a array of good Ole cooking. Served with a smile and desire to please the only draw back was the side order of lamb chops which was lamb chop was only 1 lamb chop for 10.00 each it was thin and and small not worth the uncharted other than that the meal was satisfying. Consistency is key and for the most part this place is consistent!

    Crab dip! Simply amazing!

We were visiting family and family recommended this place for their chicken wings. So decided to check it out and specifically get the chicken wings. The chicken wings were huge! The collard greens were seasoned well and went real good with the cornbread. The best part was the crab dip! I definitely go back just to order the crab dip. Customer service was great and ambiance was chill. 4 stars because the potato salad wasn't too great. It was a little too mustardy for me that it was overbearing. Overall, great food and great customer service. We'll be back!

The restaurant interior is outdated/ old looking. They either been in business for years or inquired the location from a prior establishment and didn't renovate anything. But the food was good. I got the wing dinner and i really enjoyed the Thai chili sauce. Wish the cornbread was bigger and the waitresses were nice and gave genuine feedback on the food when i asked. I appreciate that.

Crab Balls (happy hour food special) w/grilled shrimp (another special they were running. $1 shrimp grilled or fried minimum of 5).

If you're looking for a total body experience, this is it. The presentation alone is a work of art on a plate--almost too beautiful to eat. Almost. The aroma greets you at the door, teasing you with exactly what you came for and setting the tone before the 1st bite ever lands on your tongue. There's a perfect balance between a lively, energetic kitchen and a culinary dance that knows exactly how to set the mood between you and your wait staff. I love watching a kitchen that truly moves together. The way the kitchen and waitstaff flow in harmony tells you everything you need to know before the food even arrives. And then there's the food itself--textures that crunch just right, silkiness where it belongs, and a mouthfeel that's been thoughtfully mastered. Every bite delivers. The flavors explode, layering the fundamentals with deep, savory umami that lingers long after the plate is cleared. That lingering sixth sense... the feeling that stays with you is matched only by the vibe. It's that rare sense of being exactly where you're supposed to be. I started with the buffalo chicken mozzarella sticks, but they weren't for me so I sent them back. I ended up getting the blackened chicken flatbread, which was actually really good and full of flavor. A few others in my group had mixed experiences too--my cousin ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts and didn't like them, and my daughter tried the crab cake appetizer. She said the flavor was great, but the texture was too mushy inside. My sister, on the other hand, enjoyed her shrimp appetizer and said the mac and cheese egg rolls were just okay. One thing we all agreed on--the drinks were AMAZING. Definitely strong and well-made, they did not disappoint at all. The overall vibe of the restaurant is nice, especially being in the Oyster Point area. It's a great spot to hang out on a Saturday night. Not sure if I'd rush back, but it was a decent experience.

They were hired to cater our wedding that was originally scheduled in November, but we had to postpone the wedding due to the world's recent COVID pandemic. We had already paid $1000 deposit, and we didn't want to lose that. They offered to allow us up to 1 year, to use the deposit. So, we decided that we would use them for my bridal shower, which was for 20 guest. Keep in mind that they were perfectly fine with the date change; but all of a sudden, I was told, via phone conversation, that there was a $250 tasting fee since we cancelled the wedding and changed to a different date. No where in the contract did it state there would be a $250 fee for tasting if there is a cancellation or date change. Let's keep in mind contract was NOT cancelled, as they did provide a service, on 10/17/2020. So, again why were we charged a tasting fee? Didn't want to make a big fuss about it, so I asked for an itemized receipt for the items listed below, however, I was provided with a new, and modified contract that showed these items: 20 servings of Bang Bang Shrimp 1 pan of Meatballs 40 assorted pieces of fried chicken 1 pan of Sweet Potato Soufflé 1 pan of Mac and Cheese 20 servings of pasta salad Fruit Tray Veggie Tray Fee Schedule Service Full Package Service ...... $750.00 Tax 13.5%........................................ 101.25 Gratuity 15 % ............................. Total........................................ $850.25 Now, the food...the chicken was not fresh, it had obviously be reheated, dry, no seasoning, looked as if it was fried in old grease with black specks, it was so bad that we threw away 30 pieces. The mac and cheese was dry, cheese only at the top, and not throughout. I say, if you can't successfully make these staples, then there is no need to be a soul food business. Ok, then there was the Bang Bang shrimp, mushy and was garnished with red cabbage and lemons...hmmm. Anyway, the fruit and veggie tray was ok. We did put the fruit tray on a nicer plater. Actually, we put everything on a nice platter, as I will not serve out of tin pans like they do a BBQ's. Meatballs, were just ok. The pasta salad was dry, and had to add to it to make it taste like something. I say all of this to say, we threw $1000 in the trash. It amazes me how people portray to run a successful business with excellent customer service once they get your money. All the other vendors worked with my fiance and I, and I really thought Ms. Mary's would have too. Well, I guess they thought they did by allowing us to use our deposit for my bridal shower, and I do appreciate that, but to provide us with a product that wasn't of quality or freshness was unacceptable.

I know the menu like the back of my hand--and there are certain things I always look forward to. Let me tell you... the baked chicken? So soft, juicy, and tender. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, just how I like it. When the roast beef is sliced nice and thin? Baby, it melts in your mouth. That crab-stuffed fish? Moist, tender, and packed with flavor. I love it! My mama and my sister always go for the beef liver--they say it hits every time. The spoon bread is so good and soft, and don't get me started on the dinner rolls--I could eat a tray of those by themselves. I also love the carrot soufflé (just sweet and smooth), and the broccoli casserole is something I'll always grab if I see it. I'll take mashed potatoes or rice with just about any meat, and the cabbage is good too--but I like to add a little butter to mine. Now this is September 2025, and right now they've got a special going on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday--two meals for $29, all day long. That comes with a drink, a roll, one entrée, and two sides. You can't beat that. Let me shout out Ms. Vera--she is my absolute favorite. Such a sweet and lovely lady. But honestly, I haven't had a bad server there yet. The vibe is always good. The clams were a little chewy and it lacked flavor; needed a few more dashes of salt at the least. The seafood Mac and Cheese had potential. The crab meat on top looked enticing. The noodles were cooked to perfection. But the flavor was also lacking. It was not cheesy enough to call a Mac and cheese and again needed more salt and/or other seasonings. There also wasn't much seafood to boast about. Maybe a scallop or 2, a very small quantity of shrimp....the crab meat and roll were the highlight. 3 STARS (for this visit). The service was GREAT!
