The service was top-notch, but the rest needed improvements. First, the omelet was too salty, and a cheap single cheese on top, not the shredded type. As for the price, I expect a bit more. The biscuits and gravy were ok. The biscuit was dry, and the gravy negated it; however, the flavor of the gravy was too strong with rosemary or oregano, and there were tiny seeds (maybe fennel seeds) that burst in the pallet at every bite, which am not a fan of. Second, the dining area had a dreary ambiance, possibly the old decor and outdated seating boots. The bathroom is exposed directly to the dining area, so privacy was an issue for me. This place needs rehab or renovation. However, they seem busy, and it could be their regulars. The positive is our server was super friendly and kept our coffee cup refilled. 3 stars because the food was ok and for the service. Not the best experience and most likely not return.

We recently moved to the state and are trying to find our new "go to" breakfast/brunch place. After having no luck, we found Warwick Restaurant and were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is very homey and the staff is so kind. Kelly was our waitress and was very attentive. The food was definitely made with love; so yummy! We will definitely be back and will recommend this place to others.

We walked in today for late lunch. The sign said grab a menu and seat yourself. None of the staff members greeted us as we sat. We took 10 minutes reviewing the menu, no one came by to atleast take our drink order. We noticed the waitress glance at our table a few times, then she walked over to the table to the table who arrived there after us. Still did not acknowledge us. No greeting, no "I'll be right with you". Nothing. We could already tell the service was going to be terrible so we left. Do better staff of Warwick restaurant! First impressions are very important, it leaves a lasting mark on how you are viewed by others. Or perhaps hire better staff. You're losing money with the ones you have. We drove not too far to a place called Plaza Azteca. The food is not only very flavorful and delicious but the service is top notch. Highly recommend!

Legit Diner alert! Smells like Grandma's house when you walk in (if your Grandma is and old southern lady who knows how to cook) and the food did not disappoint! I had biscuits and sausage gravy with two eggs over medium. Others in the group got the chipped beef and omelets. Everything was excellent and clearly fresh made from scratch. Spent $11 for my food and coffee. About what I'd spend at Chick Fil A! Didn't have any lunch food but I can imagine that would be good too!

Warwick Restaurant now Korean owned, may have been the first place I ate after my sister moved to Newport News from Omaha many years ago. It looks the same (not in a good way) and really needs a facelift to contend in the 21st Century. My son and I, visiting from Bucks County, PA, stopped in for breakfast yesterday because it is quite near our family's home on Lake Queen Anne. It appeared that every table was covered in the remains of the last customers, and we wouldn't be able to sit unless we did the bussing ourselves. Luckily, our server led us to the lone cleaned booth in the house, and everything got better from there. We ordered (both of us desiring a version of their Country Fried Steak) and coffee. The food was quite good, with thin breaded/fried minute steak and eggs for me and beans and mashed for sonny boy. All wolfed down in minutes. Our server was friendly and attentive and partially made up for the overall slovenliness of the dining room. We tipped her appropriately and let her know we appreciated her saving us from the mess. Would we eat at Warwick again? Probably not given the many choices available nearby. 2.5 STARS

I'm a big coloring guy and now half the pages on the wall are mine. I'm a full on regular here. Great seafood, great Bloody Mary's. If you need a place to get seated quickly and have an amazing brunch or dinner; good morning Warwick.

This is Big Lee and I must say this restaurant is a hidden gem in the city of Newport News, Va. This establishment is centrally located near Christopher Newport University. My French toast plate was phenomenal. Fluffy, great texture, and a kick of cinnamon. Cheesy grits were creamy, cheesy, and great texture. The service was very professional and welcoming. The ambiance was seen as chill and the age range went from college students all the way to senior citizens. Definitely a must go to when in the area Follow more of my food review videos on TikTok(Biglee052291) and Instagram (_where_is_seth

Not sure how to describe the vibe- clean modern feel with a touch of cozy here and there - like the sofa when u first walk in. Pros: Cool sofa for waiting on a table or maybe cocktails? Krista was our server and she was delightful. Friendly and helpful - let us know her favorites and got our order in quickly since we couldn't take too long. Nice cocktail selection and even better range for apps and mains. Loved the ahi tuna flatbread!! Our favorite of the apps. Could have ordered for dinner and left very happy since it cost less too lol. Seared scallops were delicious- the sauce and fresh corn were amazing. Shrimp and grits had an impressive depth of flavor and the spinach and tomatoes were a unique addition. The black bass was also very good. Cons Prices on the higher side even for a fancy restaurant in Richmond. Didn't love the complimentary bread and butter: I appreciated trying to make the butter something unique- going for savory and sweet the white chocolate and herbs but the white chocolate didn't really work for us as an ingredient. Felt like the bread should've been crusty for butter like this and not the soft rolls they served. Didn't care for the pork belly appetizer. Instead of being crispy, it was just tough.

An Absolutely Amazing Birthday Experience!…read more I celebrated my "Drop Older" (Lemon Drop) Birthday Dinner at Steak & Tonic in Newport News, VA, on August 29, 2026, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the moment we arrived, Robert, the manager, was professional, attentive, and welcoming. He paired our party of 11 with Preston, and let me tell you, Preston was AMAZING! He took care of our every need and made sure our experience was seamless. We never had to wait long for anything, and he timed our appetizers perfectly while making sure our meal orders were placed promptly. His service was truly five-star! Now let's talk about the FOOD! The alligator bites were delicious, and the duck paired with mac & cheese and collard greens was absolutely CHEF'S KISS! The duck appetizer was so good and so generous that honestly, it could have been a whole meal by itself! We also had the pleasure of visiting the Speakeasy, and the ambiance was absolutely superb! The atmosphere was intimate, stylish, and the perfect way to continue celebrating. A special shoutout to Reese, the bartender, who was professional, personable, and had just the right sense of humor to make the experience even more inviting. Overall, Steak & Tonic exceeded my expectations! Great food, exceptional service, beautiful atmosphere, and an amazing team. Robert, Preston, Reese, and the entire staff helped make my birthday celebration one I will remember for a long time. Thank you for helping make my "Drop Older" birthday absolutely LEMON-DROP-LICIOUS! 5 STARS all the way! I will definitely be back!

The food was seasoned to perfection, with portions that were completely satisfying. The wine pairing was exquisite, and Alexa's recommendation was spot-on. The house brownie-cheesecake was also outstanding--rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced without being overpowered by chocolate. Unfortunately, our experience was negatively impacted by a mistake with our appetizer, the Duck Confit. Alexa handled the situation professionally, courteously apologized, and did everything within her ability to address the issue. However, I was disappointed that the restaurant manager never came to our table to personally acknowledge or apologize for the mistake. To make matters worse, there was no acknowledgment or farewell from the host as we exited. This was my wife's birthday dinner, an occasion that deserved a higher level of attention and hospitality from the management team. Alexa demonstrated what exceptional customer service looks like, but the lack of management follow-through and acknowledgment ultimately affected our overall experience. For these reasons, Steak & Tonic receives 3 out of 5 stars from us. The food and Alexa's service were excellent, but management's handling of the situation fell short of the standard I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Very disappointed with the management Team. V/r, Eddie Velez evelez.131@outlook.com
