I did a lot of research on artificial turf companies servicing the Brushy Creek area and after some shopping around, came across Umesh and KG Lawn Care. After receiving some ridiculous quotes from some of the "bigger" artificial turf companies, offering a lower grade of turf for a substantially higher price, I went forward with the project with Umesh and KG Lawn Care. Umesh took on my project of installing approximately 1000 sqft of artificial turf, metal edging, and black star gravel around some cypress trees. Roughly a month before starting, I expressed to Umesh my desire to have the project completed in time for our family's annual crawfish boil, which he assured me he would fulfill. I can't say enough positive things about Umesh, Lucas, and their crew. As we neared the date of my family's party, Umesh assured me that he would push to make the deadline, even with unpredictable central Texas weather. Umesh not only kept to his promise in finishing the project in time for our party, but also knocked it out of the park! The artificial turf looks incredible and instantly became my daughter's favorite place to play. Umesh and his crew put a level of detail into the project in ensuring every aspect was perfect for my family. As pleased as I am with the project itself, the most noteworthy aspect I want to highlight in this review is how Umesh does business. In a world where so many are looking to cut corners, charge more, and provide less, I found that Umesh is a man of immense integrity who keeps to his word. Umesh delivered on his promise to ensure my yard was immaculate for my family's party, but most notably, his promise on pricing. A day before our turf was set to be installed, Umesh was notified by the turf company that the turf we picked out was no longer available (with zero warning). Umesh was forced to upgrade the turf at a difference of nearly $800. I offered to split the difference with Umesh but was told: "Nah man, it's all good. I like to keep my word and pricing. It's not your fault." This really struck me that Umesh was willing to eat $800 in order to keep his word with me on pricing. KG Lawn Care exceeded my expectations and truly helped me complete my dream back yard - The quality of work and character of Umesh will have me recommending him and his company to all my family and friends!

I felt it was important I updated my review as a lot has happened to the deck in the 3 years since…read morethey put it in. Though the deck looked good initially in just 3 years it is rotting away and we just now realized to what extent. It got in such a bad state we decided to have someone redo the whole deck. When they took off the top boards the frame itself had half rotted away (including the whole frame for the steps) and we realized it could have caved under us at any time. In the attached picture you will see the current state of the frame. Half of it has rotted away. We initially used them because they were the best price and they did work fast and were flexible to our requests. However, the tradeoff seems to be they used poor material. It was either not pressure treated or leftover material they got from a building being constructed that isn't meant to be used for a deck. I can't confirm but regardless proper material shouldn't rot like this in just 3 years. I write this to warn you to make sure they are not skimping on the materials as this can become a safety hazard.

Some knucklehead (me) decided to drive a landscaping stake through one of my irrigation pipes. Easy…read morejob to replace the damaged section, right? Of course not, I punctured a pipe that was below a number of other PVC pipes. I contacted Darrell via Yelp and he responded quickly and set a date to come out to estimate the job. I was surprised that he responded so quickly as this is a small job and these guys are totally overbooked. He provided a very reasonable estimate and I also had him provide an estimate for crushed stone walkways on each side of my house as there are sections that will not grow grass. He made some great…read morerecommendations during the consultation such as doing a limestone wall around the pump equipment so that it matched the house rather than doing a wooden fence and adding tropical plants behind the pool. His quote was very precise on exactly what was going to be purchased, the price, and the labor cost involved down to each plant, which is something the competing quotes were lacking. His team added a walkway going around from our driveway to the pool; excavated a rock wall to reduce the grade so we could get our golf cart around what was a narrow corner; trimmed up trees over and around the pool; added much needed drainage to reduce runoff; built the wall around the pump equipment, added the Zeon Zyosia grass, and did all the landscaping around the pool area. We are extremely happy with the end product and will use them again when our guest/pool house is completed to do the landscaping around it.
