I have been using Southern Lawn Care for almost a year now and cannot recommend them enough. I had seen them working in my neighborhood and stopped to get contact info so I could get a quote and within a couple of days they had come out, assessed everything, and provided a very reasonable price for service. The great thing is they don't have contracts so you aren't stuck if you aren't happy with the service. They are also extremely flexible with time frames and can do everything you may need done. I started out only having them come out once a month because it was during the summer, but as spring rolled around I was able to ask that they come out more often. I have also had them to do additional things like removing some bushes from a few beds and off a fence line, spray to keep the weeds at bay, and even do a deep dive on the beds before a recent party I had.... And it's always at a good price. Any time I call to see if something can be done Tim is on top of it. He's also just a really nice guy and always eager to help, and the guys he sends out are amazing as well. They are super friendly, do a great job, and they are always open to talk if I have any special requests or things I'd like for them to be careful of while they are here. We hired Southern Lawn Care to do a cleanup of our yard and garden beds as we prepare to move and turn our home over to the new owner. They did an EXCEPTIONAL job. The garden beds were blown out with no leaves remaining and the lawn as well. Our backyard artificial lawn was blown and all leaves collected, you could eat off the lawn it was so clean. Lastly, they mowed and trimmed for us. Now, they couldn't save the dead grass from the heat of last summer, that would be an impossible task, but they did a great job making the lawn look presentable and dare I say, good! Their prices are incredibly good, they called to let us know what time to expect them and they spent a lot of time taking care of our yard. My mom used their lawn service for many years and was very happy. I continued to use them after she moved to an assisted living facility. The staff was dependable and always did a great job. The crew had my phone number and would call with suggestions like cleaning flower beds, etc. They also would call to say there was no need to mow during dry weather. These guys are great, been employing them for several years. They always do an excellent job at mowing, trimming, and cleaning up. I have them on a regular mowing schedule, AND always engage them to come out and do my spring cleaning of all the live oak leaves. They also take care to properly replace my dog fence so our chihuahua doesn't get out. Tim is always courteous, attentive, and responsive. On the rare occassion that something's not right, he will always make it right and assure satisfaction. I can only guess that any negative review for Tim would be a mistake and destined for a different "Southern Lawn Care" company. Their pricing came in lower than the rest and after they performed the work - their work was far superior on all counts. The lawn service was fine. They ignored our attempts to cancel service, kept mowing the lawn at our former residence, and are attempting to bill us. When they finally acknowledged us via email it was snarky and passive aggressive at best, but they did correct the billing issue. read more

A very disappointing experience. They reviewed our property and promised a quote within a few days. After two phone calls and three emails trying to get their quote, we finally gave up and hired another company. If they didn't want our work, why not just tell us rather than ignore us until we went away. Very bad business practice. read more

I have had this lawn service for the last 3 years and usually people are happy to get rid of a bill, save a little money...however I am actually sad to have to cancel my service because I'm moving to a different area. They have provided EXCELLENT service year round without any hiccup and at an extremely affordable price. Any time I have any questions about my bill or extra services they have been more than helpful, kind, respectful and even worked through some billing issues I was having when my bank was compromised. I highly recommend this lawn service to anyone in Austin if you want a company you can count on that still gives you that personal touch as in you matter to them, you're not just another number in their billing system. Although they did a good job on mowing the lawn, these guys will not hold themselves accountable for damage or mistakes they made. On the 1st cut they cut off 2 sprinkler heads and the owner was argumentative and said "We are not responsible for damage to sprinkler heads". For gosh sake, when are people going to learn when they are in business they are responsible for standing behind their work?? Also, for $5 worth of sprinkler heads (2 of them) they lost over $700 worth of work and potential referrals, is that a good way to run your business? One more point these guys quoted me $35 per hour and with the 1st cut 20% off. They were here tops 1.5 hours, the bill I got was for $86 dollars less 20% in other words the owner inflated the bill. Oh well, what did I expect after all they mow lawns for a living, however why does that should that mean a business doesn't get customer service and holding themeselves accountable? read more
