First was hooking up a garage rooftop solar installation and linking it to the street side of the generator transfer switch in our basement. They also ran 240V into the garage for a possible EV charger. None of this was simple -- It required trenching between the house and the garage, and since our house is eighty years old, they had to do a lot of fiddling around old electric and telephone wires. My wife bought an all-electric vehicle two weeks ago and Paul advised me on which charger to buy, installed it two days ago and we love it! Along the way, Paul and his crew helped me understand the interplay between the street power, our solar production, and our generator. We decided not to have the 240V charger line backed up by the generator as the new 7kW demand could overload it. I really like working with Paul and his crew. A Signed Quote and Deposit Should Mean Something…read more I rarely leave one-star reviews, but my experience with Premier Energy Solutions warrants one. I requested a quote for a mini-split system for my home in Dennis, MA. After receiving the quote, I reviewed it verbally with the salesperson to confirm its accuracy and signed it within a week. I was then called and asked to provide a deposit by phone, which I did immediately. Approximately two hours after providing the deposit, I received a text notifying me that a "revised" quote was ready. The new price was more than 10% higher than the quote I had just signed. I then checked my email and found a message from the salesperson explaining that there had been a software glitch and that the original quote had been generated in error. Attached was yet another quote--this one more than 20% higher than the price I had signed and provided a deposit against. I contacted the General Manager the following day. To his credit, he acknowledged that the errors were theirs and told me they would honor the original price. He explained that an internal specialist would review the project, properly document everything, and send me a corrected quote reflecting the original agreed-upon price within two days. That did not happen. On the third day, the salesperson called and told me the errors were larger than they had anticipated and that they would need to increase the price after all. I contacted the GM again, and he retracted his commitment to honor the original price. I raised the issue that we had a signed agreement, they had accepted my deposit, and questioned whether we had a binding contract. His response was essentially, "Why would you want us working on your home if you had to take legal action to get the deal?" I am paraphrasing because I do not recall his exact words, but that accurately reflects the substance of the response. At that point, I requested my deposit back, and Premier Energy Solutions did refund it. Mistakes happen. A salesperson can make an estimating error, software can create problems, and companies sometimes discover unexpected costs. My one-star review is not because an error occurred. It is because of how the company handled the error after I had signed the quote and paid the requested deposit. What was particularly disappointing was that the GM initially took responsibility, explicitly committed to honoring the original price, and then reversed that commitment after another internal review. From a customer's perspective, I went from an accepted quote, to a 10%+ increase, to a 20%+ increase, to a management commitment to honor the original price, and finally back to being told the price would have to increase. I subsequently came across several older five-star reviews that specifically mentioned the company's founder, Paul Foley, and the level of service he provided. Based on the customer service described in those reviews, I suspect he would be disappointed by how this situation was handled today. Premier Energy Solutions did return my deposit, and I want to be fair in acknowledging that. But when I select a contractor for a significant investment in my home, I need confidence that a signed quote, an accepted deposit, and a commitment made directly by senior management can be relied upon. Unfortunately, my experience with Premier Energy Solutions did not provide that confidence.

The phone was answered by the third ring by a man who obviously was multitasking like crazy! Turns out the phone was answered by Alex himself while he was in the middle of doing another job!! He was straightforward, telling me he is extremely busy but could come 6/1/22 between 8-10:00AM, just 10 days away. I said ok. He came right on time June 1st, texting me before he left with his ETA. I expected him to come, look and then tell me what was wrong setting up some time off in the far future to come back and repair. Nope. He said he carries lots of parts in his truck and usually can fix units right then and there. Let me say he is a smart & driven young man. I learned more about AC units from him in the short time he was here than from any other AC person. He is really big into educating you about your system which I totally appreciated . He told me maintenance is a big thing, suggesting that an occasional rinsing of the fins with a hose helps the unit run more efficiently. In the end he replaced my thermostat, cleaned the unit & added a hard start to the compressor all for less than $400.00. He did say that my unit is nearing the end of its life span, but said see how it runs this summer and if it's ok no hurry to replace. He is a respectful honest person who's not there to take advantage of you. He's really big into education & maintenance. It's obvious he really enjoys what he does. I highly recommend him!

I had three mini split systems installed by the ductless master LLC from Fall River about six…read moremonths ago. I started experiencing leaks coming from one of the units. The ductless master showed in two occasions and after two no call no shows, I decided to not work with them and search for different contractor. I was glad to found JT Comforts. They were very knowledgeable, they came out right away, and were able to detect multiple issues with the previous contractors installation that was causing the leaks . Josh recommended a stronger pumps and with a fair price they had to redo the other contractors installation , and did it the right way. Overall Josh and his team did an excellent job of diagnosing and repairing the problem. I haven't had any leaks since was done. He and his team were professional, efficient, and kind. I called R.B.Queern to come out to my house to tune-up my central AC system. My experience with…read morethem was both positive and negative. The PROS: The technicians were professional and friendly. During the 2 hours they worked, they were efficient and did not waste time. Because they charge by the hour ($165 per hour), this is important. The techs found an error in how the AC unit was installed, and they were able to fix it that day. Their fix prevented a big problem of water leaking into my ceiling. Also, when I reviewed the work order, I do not think I was over-charged for the parts they needed to fix my unit; the prices I was charged for the PVC parts seemed reasonable. The CONS: I was never told when I booked the appointment (as a new client) that they charge the travel time from when the tech leaves the previous job and drives to my house. As a result, I was charged $82.50 (30 min) for the tech to drive to my house from the previous job. This is an excessive charge. I understand that gasoline costs money, but to charge $165 per hour for travel time is too much. If they charged something like $30 per hour for travel time, that would be reasonable, and I would be leaving a 5 star review.
