Yes, the facility is large and swanky, but the food was horrible. Cheap quality and greasy buffet. You can learn a few things from other airline lounges. This was one of the worst lounges I've been to. On the way to SEA our flight had to be diverted to Portland to refuel. Although I greatly appreciate the pilot keeping the passengers safe this left me wondering why not just have more fuel beforehand? I am sure that bad weather in SEA is not an unusual occurrence and this just sounded like horrible planning. So now we are on a flight for over 9 hours and you serves us 2 sample sized bags of pretzels. That is borderline criminal. Ok so what about the return leg? Holy shit that was worst. So we get thru security only to get a text that flight is delayed due to crew issues for 2 hours. Again piss poor planning. You knew about this flight for months. You also knew you weren't going to have a pilot so why not warn people earlier so they could wait it out in their hotel? So now it's time to board and then we get told "folks we still don't have a pilot, but there's one that lives near by that should be on their way. We don't know when you'll be boarding." We arrived after midnight and again 2 sample sized pretzel bags provided. I can understand keeping a budget, however, you should market yourself as such and your prices should reflect this. Spirit didn't hide their cheapness and you paid a hell of a lot less for their flights. Did anything go well? The crew was very nice, but again that was also the best part of Spirit.

We rarely make it down to Miami for a flight, but West Palm is usually worth going north to that airport for a flight. We planned a weekend trip to New York last month and with a bit cross checking, Palm Beach International Airport had the best flight based on flight time and cost. It is nice to be able to just walk into a airport that's not crazy at all. within minutes after walking in we are almost always gateside. They have a quick TSA area, and once by the gate there is always spot to grab a bite or drink. This last trip there was a open space bar in the middle of the rotunda where we could see our gate and about four others, so it was easy to time our check grab and getting in line for our flight. We generally fly out of Fort Lauderdale, but when its close to a tie which to go with, we got Palm Beach.

It would be nice if someone whose job it is to monitor the airport actually... monitored the airport. The staff seemed to have mastered the art of looking busy while accomplishing very little. Customer service felt optional, accountability appeared mythical, and professionalism was nowhere to be found. Congratulations to whoever is running this place. Turning an airport into what feels like a DMV, bus station, and abandoned warehouse all rolled into one is quite an achievement. I'll gladly pay extra to fly somewhere else next time. If you want a little more space and a free Coke (and an hour or five connecting through Atlanta), take Delta for twice the price. If you want what you pay for and nothing more, this is the way to go.
