We had a modest pigeon problem that we needed to be resolved at our house. Although we let SW Avian Solutions bid on the job, we did not use them. Professional. Came out to do their estimate in a timely fashion. Wrote up and provided their estimate in a reasonable time as well. Were in and out quickly for the estimate. Were courteous and responsive on the phone. Unfortunately their estimate was not very competitive (problem identified and work scope recommended was exactly the same as two other companies). So my knock here is really just price-based. If you choose to use them, I'd just recommend to have at least one more bid to sanity check the price. If I had more work of this type, I'd let them bid again. read more

I am so impressed with this company! I had a terrible pigeon problem that made the front of my house look unkempt with all the excrement on window ledges and pillars. I would try to keep up by hosing it down, but the stuff is like cement. I called Southwest Avian; they came out within a 10 day period, gave estimate and shortly afterward cleaned up the area, put up screens, painted them to match the house and it's wonderful not having those flying rats nesting. Barbara was very helpful and prompt with responses and gave me a quote from photos that was significantly less than 2 other quotes including my solar installer. Buyer Beware, the tech who arrived to give me an estimate tells me nothing he can do and says he can't put spikes on my roof. He sarcastically gives me a look and acts confused and says "What do you want me to do with this thing, problem areas?" He was completely unprofessional. Their estimate was also $2500 more than another reputable established pigeon company in the Valley. Not surprised! When we called for the estimate, we got a bad impression. The lady who answered the phone seemed annoyed that you wanted an estimate. And then tried to talk me out of getting one because they were so busy it was took months before they could arrive to give me one. Impression I got is this is high volume poor quality work company that spends a lot on advertising. That is just my perception but we decided to go with another company and are glad we did. I hated the flying rats that were living on my roof top, they were dirty and messy droppings were running down my roof on to my walkway where we had to walk into the house. My bug man knew of a great company and suggested I call Arizona Wings N Stings, which I did. The Lady I spoke with was very friendly and knowledgeable so we scheduled my free estimate for the next day. The Arizona Wings N Stings service man that came out for my free estimate was on time and was also very friendly and knowledgeable. He got on the roof to look at my pigeon problems and after about 15 minutes came down and explained where that the pigeons were nesting under the ac units and under the roof over hangs. He wrote out the estimate for me and price was great so we scheduled the work to get done the following week. Arizona Wings N Stings did a great job cleaning my roof of the pigeon poop and the areas he closed off no longer have pigeons. I had Southwest Avian Solutions give me a quote on my residential property for bird barrier screens on my 8 kw solar system and attic vent holes. After reviewing the quote for the screens on the panels ($1,700) I had questions on how they came up with 17.5 hours for installation of screens around panels, 4.5 hours to power wash, and 225 linear feet of product (the linear footage around the panels is like 150 linear feet). On the quote to put screens on the vent holes ($450) they quoted 196 holes, I counted 92 around the house. I called the office and I talked to Beverly (if I remember correctly), and asked where the numbers came from. She pretty much told me that he has been doing this for many years and his quote is right. Ummm, I don't think so, or at least I would like to know how he came up with the numbers. She said he would give me a call. Never heard from him. So, in other words - if you question a quote from these guys they don't want your business... Make sure you look over the quote very carefully people. read more

I only chose 1 star because 0 stars wasn't an option. Don't get fooled by the fancy website and all the great things they say they can do. Apparently they can do everything except access a regular residential tile roof to remove pigeons. After waiting over a week for a "no obligation inspection", I was contacted within 5 minutes of the inspector showing up at my house with the very surprising news that "your roof is too steep" and "my guys can't access the problem area". I was advised to "call a roofer to deal with the problem". What?? Oh well. I'll be sure to not recommend Southwest Avian Solutions when my friends and neighbors ask me how I dealt with my pigeon problem. read more
