We moved and decided to use Southwest blinds and shutters again for our new house. Unfortunately, the company has changed. We did not have the same experience as we did the first time. I loved the design process. She was very helpful and informative. She did tell me it was the three months before the shutters got in which I was fine with. When the shutters came in, a set of shutters did not fit and the remote to our sliding glass door shade did not work either. They had to remeasure the shutters and told us it would take another three months. We went through that three times. It took them a total of 11 months to get our front shutters placed. I had to take off numerous days of work for them to come out and measure and come out and install and then just take it down. All I got was an apology voicemail. If you want to wait 11 months to get your shutters installed, this is the company for you. read more

What a truly refreshing experience--like being lectured by a disgruntled substitute teacher in an abandoned classroom. My wife and I visited the (blessedly) empty showroom on a Saturday afternoon. Our host for this fascinating seminar, who apparently felt introductions were beneath her, launched into a presentation. I dared to glance away for a fraction of a second, at which point she snapped, "Pay attention!" I genuinely thought I was about to be sent to the principal's office. Her condescending performance was flawless throughout, demonstrating a stunning level of disrespect you simply don't encounter every day--I almost applaud the commitment. The conversation peaked when I asked about their guarantee. She proudly declared they offered (and always had offered) a "lifetime warranty." I found this interesting, as I had the pleasure of purchasing blinds from this very company 15 years ago, and they've since achieved a level of catastrophic failure usually reserved for budget space missions (discoloration, peeling, multiple string breaks, and string end caps popping under normal use). When I called them previously regarding these issues, I was informed that none of them were covered. To my "host's" visible displeasure, I brought this history up. She promptly refused to look at my original contract and then, in the pièce de résistance, accused me of "embarrassing my wife" with my inconvenient questions about consumer protection. To summarize: This company's "lifetime warranty" is clearly a bait-and-switch scam, but the sheer, unadulterated disrespect from their representative takes the entire experience to a majestic new low. If you enjoy being actively told off by a stranger while contemplating a major home purchase, or if you just need a memorable story for your next dinner party, you absolutely must visit them. We started with Southwest shutters and blinds 5 years ago. They did a large project in our home. Told us originally that we had to have motors on our windows as they were too big for the manual tools. Which was a lie. One of the motors already broke. We had them come out to fix it and the technician broke our remote and said they would replace it, which now the company will not do. They have poor quality equipment. I would not use them. They put everything in, it breaks, and it's really expensive to replace. When calling the managers they are rude and not helpful. Very poor customer service. Buyer beware. read more

We had our blinds installed in 2018. Installation was great. There was an issue with the door blind and the technician re-ordered it. It took a while to get the new one, but it fit perfectly. Back then I would have recommended them. Fast forward to November 2024. Three of the louvers in one of my blinds fell out. It was supposed to be under warranty, so I called Costco, I bought the blinds through Costco. I called them on November 21, 2024. They told me they would have Southwest Blinds call me. On December 5, 2024 I finally got a call from Stephanie in "customer service". She said she would send me a warranty link. I never got it. I didn't know how she was even sending it. Email? Text? I searched my email in box, nothing from Southwest Blinds since 2018. I called her back on December 12, 2024. She never answers the phone. I left a message. Nothing. I got busy, it was Christmas. I called again January 15, 2025. Didn't hear back. So on January 17, 2025 I looked up their main number and called. The person that answered said that she would transfer me to customer service. I told her if no one answered that I would be calling right back. She said they were out to lunch and took my name and number and said she would have them call me right back. When Connie called me, she didn't even let me finish telling her about my problem and talked over me! She has since responded with an email, but I am so disgusted with this whole process and the lack of customer service (like other reviews I see here), that I am going to complain to Costco. Oh, and they are going to charge me $135 for this horrible service. Don't buy anything from this company. Their customer service does not exist. read more

From the initial sales person Michael coming to show us options to the installation of our window coverings by Anthony just yesterday, we are very pleased with our end result and the service Southwest Blinds have provided. Having recently remodeled a home, we are use to hiccups, delays and disappointments that come with contractors working in your home. We set the bar low, so we can manage the expectation of nobody ever being on time, nobody communicating well, there are always delays and as a homeowner you are often stuck. Southwest Blinds is how I wish our experience was with other businesses who have worked in our home. Southwest Blinds were always on time, they were clear and consistent in communication, Tawnie in the office was easily reachable, the quality of our Graber product is excellent and we feel we got a great value. We were referred to Southwest Blinds and Shutters by our neighbor, we were looking to purchase blinds for our 20' slider. Janet was very knowledgeable, and helped us select a fabric and style that fit our needs. Since this was a new product, Louie had some trouble synching one of the panels. He was here for several hours and was not able to get the panel working correctly, not for lack of trying. He assured us that he would get someone here who could synch the panel, which he did. Wyatt came and was able to synch the panel with the others and they are working great. They are beautiful and functional. We quickly chose our custom blackout blinds for our master bedroom. We received weekly updates regarding scheduling our final measurements and the manufacture dates re our blinds. Today (06/24/22) our blinds were installed by Sport. Sport arrived on time, and was extraordinarily professional, friendly, and engaging. They had great samples in the show room and she advised me to call TJ for an appointment to discuss options and prices. Booked my appointment and saw TJ, where he was so friendly and courteous. The shutters that were purchased and installed by Southwest blinds and shutters within the last year were improperly installed. While laying in bed with my husband, and two children, the entire shutter installation came off of the window, and fell directly onto us. Taking a look at the shutters, the shutters were only held into the wall by less than half an inch, seemingly only mounted onto the existing window frame. We reached out to the company, and have not been able to have a conversation with anyone in 3 days. read more

Our Experience with Southwest Blinds & Shutters was very positive from the moment that Miranda showed up for our consultation, when we received her bid along with valuable photos and brochures to the installation by two amazing skilled installers. We were able to get more educated about the product, process, and the value for the investment which allowed us to put shutters in our entire home after living here for 15 years. In the photos attached you can see we have the pure white with mock sill. We also chose to go with the 4.5 louver which provides an amazing view especially when you also couple that with the clear view tilt. The product arrived on time as promised and installed that week. Both of the installers were here most of the day and were very kind, funny, personable, and respectful of us and our home. They cleaned up their mess when they left and you would have never known they were there! The warranty for these specific polymer shutters is unbeatable as well which is very important to our family given the investment. If I could give zero stars I would. We received quotes from a few companies and ended up going to the showroom in Gilbert where we spoke with the manager who was attentive, listed to our needs and provided suggestions on our requests. I'd say this added to our deciding factor with going with this company. After moving forward, we found out that the sales person misquoted/measured which was annoying, but we figured it out. Install was quick and the team was super nice and respectful of our home. The shutters are beautiful, however when you spend 13k and you realize once they leave that two of 19 sets of shutters are different than the rest and call to notify, customer service is non-existent. When speaking with Lee, he advised that he was going to call to find out the "why" this happened. Frankly, we don't care about the why - we would like for the two sets of shutters to be replaced ASAP to match the other 17 shutters in our home. Last point of contact was earlier this month - still no response or follow up. We will keep you posted. read more
