We called Issac out to our home for a check up on our chimney after the 2026 ice storm to see if…read morethere was any damage to our chimney. Our fireplace was on during one of the coldest day's and heard popping and vibration noises in the chimney and turned it off. After Isaac arrived to inspect our chimney inside our fireplace, in the attic and on top of our roof, he determined everything looked securely connected with no issues. He determined since it was so cold and the heat from having the fireplace on was only expansion noises. We felt very comfortable with him showing us that everything was still in place and we had no problem moving forward. He was very, professional and reassuring that we will definitely use him again for any future issues. Will also give his name to our friends and family if they need a reliable and experienced chimney professional. We Highly recommend Isaac.

Let me tell you, finding Isaac within our first few weeks in town was a definite gift! He is prompt, knowledgeable, courteous, honest, efficient, extremely nice and AMAZING at what he does- this guy KNOWS chimneys!! He was an absolute pleasure to work with. We have already referred him to several family members and will for sure be back for all chimney servicing needs in the future. Do yourself a favor and just give him a call; I promise you will be in great hands!!

Sometimes you learn more about a business from what they don't do than what they do…read more I called Fireplace & BBQ's looking for help with my 50+ year-old Broilmaster P3X. I needed diagnostics and repair, and while they sell genuine Broilmaster parts, they don't really perform that type of repair work themselves. Here's where they earned a customer for life. Instead of trying to sell me a new grill--or worse, pretending they could do something they couldn't--they recommended a local technician who regularly purchases Broilmaster parts from them. That technician drove over an hour to diagnose and rebuild my grill, using only factory-authorized Broilmaster parts purchased from Fireplace & BBQ's. The result? My old Broilmaster now looks and performs like it just rolled off the showroom floor. I'm convinced it'll probably outlive me. Could I have gone to a big-box store and bought a shiny new aluminum grill? Sure. That's exactly what one store recommended. But anyone who knows grills knows many of those are designed to be replaced every few years. My Broilmaster was built to last generations, and now it probably will. The best part of this story is that Fireplace & BBQ's didn't have to recommend someone else. They could have simply said, "Sorry, we don't do that." Instead, they pointed me to the right person, and in the end they still earned the parts business because I insisted my technician buy only genuine manufacturer-authorized parts from them. That's how great businesses operate. They put the customer first, earn trust instead of demanding it, and understand that doing the right thing almost always comes back around. Five stars for honesty. Five stars for integrity. Five stars for understanding that customer loyalty is earned--not sold. They've earned mine. Easy 5 STARS

But the real reason we were here, was to eat. In the back of David's is a full service restaurant called Manny's Cafe. You can read about Manny's here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/manny-s-cafe-hudson-oaks But in going to Manny's we also explored David's, and it was pretty interesting. Many fireplaces, both wood burning and gas are on display. As are all manor of fireplace supplies, screens, grates, tools, etc. Outside are many round fire pits, from very basic to very fancy (and expensive). There also seemed to be a large parts department, so if you are need of a fix, David's might be able to help. And there seemed to be a rather eclectic collection of other things for sale, that more or less fall in the home decor category. If your driving on 20, near Hudson Oaks, it might worth a stop to check the place out, and maybe have breakfast or lunch (or early dinner on Friday or Saturday). Bottom line: Pretty cool stop!
