170 flat for a chimney inspection and clean got me very little. Chimney was "looked at from the street" and he peeked inside the fireplace. That was the inspection. Nothing was cleaned out but my girlfriend's wallet. Very disappointed as it took my roofer to explain that the chase cover and chimney in general was in extremely poor condition. Really expected an actual inspection when I pay for an inspection. Absolutely not worth even $50. read more

We called Luke to come out and look at our Chimney after being quoted over $500 by another company. He not only inspected our chimney but educated us on how to keep our chimney clean, avoid buildup, and what to look for when it is time to be swept. Luke is honest, efficient, and educational. We called Luke for our (new to us) house due to a crack in the firebox and what we thought was a broken damper. On the phone, he outlined common issues for houses our age and what could impact the cost of his services. He was able to work us in that day for an evaluation and reconnected the damper for us free of charge. Some competitors quoted us $120 just for a consultation. Luke came back out that week, scraped away the existing mortar repair in the firebox, and resealed all the gaps. He worked quickly and cleaned up after himself with no trace he'd been there. Beyond happy with Luke from Sullivan Chimney Sweep. Our inspector had noted that the chimney needed cleaning when purchasing our home and I contracted Sullivan Chimney Sweep to come out. He took a look and was upfront that the chimney was not in need of cleaning and didn't feel right to charge me for a cleaning.
