They installed a new garage door 4 years ago. The spring broke a couple years ago which they replaced. It broke again recently so I called for repair and could not get a call back. Since I couldn't get out of my garage, I called their competitor who came out right away on a Sunday. They eventually called me back on Monday and told me it will be a week to have it fixed. Showed up "same-day" to discuss our needs and give quote on a new door. Very reasonable quote. Scheduled about 10 days out. Installer Bryan was here on time, masked up and ready to go. Highly recommend Brian at Southwest Garage Doors! Our garage door stopped working and he first came out to assess the problem. We assumed our only option was to fully replace the door and motor, but he identified one of the springs was broken which we could have fixed. He called me back that night and set an appointment for the next evening between 4-6! He was right on time and really nice. My husband had replaced the opener and rollers but the spring, etc were jacked up. He immediately started telling my husband how to fix it himself in the future- not a great way to keep yourself in business! I had them come out and look at a garage door for my mother in law that was not functioning correctly. Daniel came over at no charge, and was able to give me a couple options to fix. I love that he didn't just tell me I needed a new garage door, but that was indeed one of the options because the old one was in pretty bad shape. Very trustworthy and honest. He told me the motor was in good condition and all he would have to do was replace the door, but since he had given us such a great price on the door, she decided to switch the entire unit to new. Searched for a garage company that i could trust to do good work and picked Dan at Southwest. I will say the quality of work was top notch but absolutely lacking customer service and professionalism. After receiving the quote for multiple items I requested, I had several questions about the process and products used. The owner initiated the conversation through text message, so I continued to communicate through text, thinking that was easier for him. After a handful of questions, the owner calls me with an attitude, saying I am waisting his time with these questions and to just approve or deny the work. I understand being a busy owner, but you have to realize you will have some customers that are picky and want to know more details, that's part of customer service and owning a business. Even though I was thrown off by the unprofessional attitude, I still approved a couple thousand dollars of work. During the quote I mentioned I wanted the spring and hinges serviced and to add that, he said "I take care of my customers", implying he would perform that service for free if I approved the work I guess, never saw that item on the quote, so I assumed he would take care of it. Day of work at the end, I asked about servicing the springs and hinges, he said that would be another $100 cost, I reminded him he said he would take care of it but he refused and insisted he would never say something like that. I still had him add that to the list, but it's still annoying being told one thing and then taking it back. During the quote and repair day, he would cuss a lot when communicating with me, owner needs to keep it professional, im your customer not your buddy. The day of repairs, another beneficial repair for my setup was brought up, so I asked him to give me the quote for that, but he never did. Weeks later, I kept trying to reach out to him through text and phone calls for my additional quote, and he never returned any text or phone call. So if you don't mind poor customer service and are the type to blindly approve the work without any questions, this company is for you. read more

My Fountain Hills rental needed 2 new springs and my renter was unable to get his car out so he had to walk to work. Dan was on time for the appt and gave a 30 minute heads up. Super knowledgeable and fixed all three of my doors! One had a shatter gear which he hasn't seen in all his years of working. Which he was able to reinstall and adjust the door so that problem would NOT happen again. He went a step above and beyond to readjusted the doors that were not installed correctly 10 years ago, and now they open amazingly with very little noise. We had our 2 garage doors replaced a few months ago and Southwest Garage Doors did a fantastic job. Recently, one of the doors wasn't closing properly as it would start to close then reverse itself. Bryan from Southwest Garage Doors came out to diagnose the issue. The fix was simple. One of the sensors had been accidentally bumped out of alignment. Bryan explained this to me and simply re-aligned the sensor. He didn't charge me the $149 service charge fee which I thought was very nice of him. He also explained how to view the error messages on the wall switch. This company certainly deserves a 5-star rating and I would recommend this company to anyone. read more

After receiving conflicting information about necessary repairs/replacement of my garage door from three other companies, I found Dan. I was expecting a costly replacement. After inspecting the door, Dan told me that he could repair and adjust the door to get an additional 3-5 years of service. I asked when, and he replied: "now." Dan came to my house on a Saturday morning to give me a quote for a glass garage door even though I wouldn't be ready to buy for quite some time. Since then, he has come to replace a pair of springs and just recently replaced our garage door opener. The opener failed while I was out of town on business and my fiancé was home alone. Dan came out the next day and did the repair. He gave me my options and we ultimately went with a unit that can be controlled by our smart phones.
