As it turned out my hunch was correct and the issue was nothing too serious. According to Verl's expertise, nothing that a little silicone spray onto the roller bearings couldn't tame down. Verl sprayed down all the roller bearings with silicone and then tested the door's operation, opening and closing it a few times to begin working the lubricant through. ...Since then, with the sprayed silicone now working its magic into all the roller bearings, the door's begun operating more quietly again, sounding closer to normal.
