Old fashioned bait and switch. I confronted them saying they switched my fountain Because this one was damaged And they said they didn't. Turns out they left the sticker on the fountain. I know for a fact that it's a different Top of the fountain because it's a different color of Gray than the bottom Plus When I Bought the fountain a few weeks ago the Copper wasn't dented or tarnished read more

Unfortunately I'm going to need to update this review, and not for the better. After my fountain was in for a few weeks I noticed the auto fill was leaking into the sprinkler system. I contacted SGA and they said they would come out and take a look late in the day the following week. The day of the appointment I received a call confirming they would be here between 2 and 4. At 5 I received a call indicating the previous job was taking too long and they would not make it to my house that day. They said they would call me the following day to reschedule. Well, no phone call the following day. Next day after that I called them. I was told they weren't sure what to do about the leaking problem but they would research it and would call this week. No call. I think I am now officially off their radar. I was also told I would need to wait until the crew was in my part of town for other installations. That may or may not be true, but is irksome when I've just paid these people over $2000. I'm not sure whether to tell you not to use SGA - honestly I'm beginning to wonder if any of these fountain companies are very good. Just wanted to update the review so you have a clearer picture of what you can expect in terms of follow up service. read more

They have a good assortment of nice fountains and yard decor. Their prices a high, but we thought, what the heck, it's a nice piece for our yard and it will be there for years to come. Well, what they don't tell you is, you'll have to fill the fountain with water every day. Sometimes twice a day in the summer. The pumps burn out every 6 months and you pay for the replacement pump and the service call. We've had 4 pump replacements now and have been waiting for over 7 months for our 5th pump to be replaced. read more

Best place to get a large selection in the East Valley. Appears expensive at first, but then you need to compare apples with apples. The fountains at this store are concrete. There are fountains that look similar online--but they are resin. Set up was on time, and they did a good job. Took a lot of care to make sure I liked where the fountain was placed, that I thought it was straight, and that I liked the sound (not too loud). I would use them again without hesitation. read more

Over 18 days we left 3 phone messages, an email and even went to the store personally (and was told we'd be contacted within 48 hours - as is their usual promise). Crickets. I am not impressed with SOUTHWEST GARDEN ART in Mesa, AZ! I ordered a fountain in 2021 and waited 6 months for it to be delivered to my home and after it was installed I noticed a lot of pock or pit marks all over the fountain and it certainly didn't look like the picture of the fountain that I ordered in design and color! I complained about it to the company and they said that they would order me another fountain after they saw the condition of the fountain that was 4 months ago with this company and still haven't heard a word from them about the fountain yet! The next step is the small claims court! I am so frustrated with this company as they don't return your messages or phone calls! That is no way to run a business!! read more

Dominque and Paul came to our house a few weeks ago and installed a new lighting system for our outdoor fountain which we bought from them six years ago. The lights were planted outside by the base of the fountain and controlled by a remote which allows it to have eight different colors. They also cleaned the inside of the fountain. We loved their work and would recommend them highly. read more

We were on vacation and went into Southwest Garden Arts. Absolutely a fantastic selection of fountains and yard art. The staff was so friendly and informative. I only wish we were in a larger vehicle. I started following their Facebook page and they had a contest. If you liked the picture you were put into a drawing. I am very excited to say that I won and that they are mailing my art to me. Excellent customer service. If you are able to get by there I strongly suggest that you do. Southwest Garden arts has a great selection of solid concrete fountains. The fountain we purchased is solid, very heavy and will last a lifetime. The fountain wasn't cheap, but you get what you pay for! The service we received was seriously outstanding. This is a family run business that provides old fashioned, quality service. I also had an awesome experience with their delivery team- they made the unload and install of my 360lb concrete fountain look super easy. Called on 4/24/18 to schedule onsite repair of the large fountain that came with my newly purchased home. The initial conversation was encouraging - I forwarded several pictures of the fountain and the person I spoke with seemed confident it could be repaired. I was placed on the list for scheduling. It's now 5/24/18 and despite several calls over the last month the repair was never scheduled. I suggest going elsewhere. read more

We purchased a fountain that was to be installed at the end of this week but decided this past Sunday to cancel our order do to the fact we found it at a much lower price online. Even though they still had the fountain on their property they charged a 15% restocking fee for the rock and pump. It came out to 165.00! We still saved quite a bit of money in the end but I feel this was bad business on their part. read more

This place wasn't close to me but we saw them at the home and garden show and went to see them the following weekend last year .. This year finishing up the yard so we went back for the pots to match the fountain and also picked up the griffin I wanted for the past year.. These guys will move the pots around for you to see and theft have the best prices too. Great catalog selections too but plenty to see in the yard. Awful!! We bought our large 3-tier fountain from them in 2004 and relied on them for periodic maintenance and moving the fountain to a new home. They were wonderful - back then. They advertise as "family-owned" suggesting their personal care for your needs. In July, I contacted them to order a new pump and have them install it for us. I was told they couldn't find a pump, pumps are not available, they only deal with one manuf. of pumps...excuses since July. No return phone calls. No explanation of why they won't install other pumps. No response, as requested, from owner. I had always trusted their business. Today, with 1 phone call, I found out that indeed pumps ARE available. And if we need someone to install it, they have people to recommend. IF SouthWest Garden DIDN'T WANT TO MAKE THE REPAIR, they could have told me in JULY!!! The original family business owners sold to new people who seem not to be personally involved in the store. If you want a few decorations for the yard, go ahead. If you want a store you can rely on for the long term, I wouldn't spend a nickel there. To string people along like this, banking on the trust built up by the former owners, is absolutely unnecessary. read more

I have shopped at this business for more than 15 years and, until I needed their help, have always been happy. I needed help repairing a fountain I bought there, yes, in the clearance area, but it worked beautifully, until it didn't. I was given a name to contact for service and told to email photos and a detailed description of the help I needed. Five phone calls, two emails, later, no help. The, pardon the expression, "expert", who could fix it told me several times he'd call me back but didn't. I finally, completely by accident, found his personal business and called for a service call. The polite lady told me they work out of Southwest Garden Arts, at which point, I told her that guy not only wouldn't return the call, but had also said he "really doesn't want to" try to help me. Told me they only service what they sell at which point I told him I had purchased the fountain, and four others, there. Long story even longer, he set an appointment for Saturday, because she had told me he would, and didn't show. I spent the only day of the week I have off sitting and waiting for a no-show. When I got to work Monday morning his business card was thrown in my office drop slot. The people at this business are wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable, but don't buy if you are thinking you will EVER need service because it won't happen. read more

Southwest Garden Arts is the place to shop for your fountain needs. The customer service was over the top fantastic! We were shopping for 2 fountains. Tim, an employee, was very informative, patient, and knowledgeable of the fountains--the material, the size pump needed, the care etc. When I say patient, he showed us numerous fountains to try and meet our requirements (not easy). He was fabulous. I was "only" going to shop around and then shop at a competitor also. I found 1 of 2 fountains on the property I just loved. Tim knew the other type of fountain I was looking for and showed me their catalog of fountains not on the property. BINGO--found the perfect fountain! We purchased a tall 'I' fountain with a ball from Southwest Garden Arts on 11/3/2016 and spent over $1500.00. The base of the fountain started rusting through in February of 2019. I called SW Garden Arts and spoke with Melissa, who is the owner. I explained the situation and she told me there was nothing she would do because she had purchased the company prior to us purchasing the fountain. These fountain bases are faulty in that they are reinforced inside with metal. Melissa told me they no longer sell these fountains because of these problems. But.... she would not stand behind the problem that Southwest Garden Arts sold to a customer. Even though they are newer owners, they should stand behind their business and help the customers that were 'wronged' from the products sold at that establishment. She offered nothing in the way of help to an existing customer of SW Garden Arts. I contacted a precast company that makes these types of bases only to be told that the entire base will eventually rust away. I will never shop at Southwest Garden Arts again, nor would I ever recommend anyone purchase from this business that has such poor customer service. They clearly do not care about their customers. read more

We have been looking for a fountain to complete a backyard remodel; our landscape contractor suggested we visit Southwest Garden Arts. The experience has been nothing less than amazing! When we arrived Cheyenne greeted us, listened to our questions, and made a couple of suggestions (no pressure but great help); we wandered around the plethora of fountains available and well-displayed; when we saw the one that 'jumped into our arms' (pretty scary for a 600 lb fountain!), Cheyenne was there to answer questions, show us all of the connections/workings, and guide us to the right decision. She even put a hold on the fountain to give us a couple of days to discuss. When I called to complete the purchase she accommodated our installation dates, suggested a couple of additional items that would ensure the fountain would run without issues, and followed up with a call to my wife to make certain all of the details were correct.
