Do NOT trust their technicians when it comes to add-on services. I was sold a "one-year" carpenter bee treatment, but when I tried to schedule follow-up service, no one recognized it and insisted it was a one-time treatment. This feels deceptive. I called multiple times and was promised callbacks from management 3 times--none of which ever happened. They completely ghosted me. I would leave zero stars if I could. I had this company come out on June 11 at 5:00 PM to spray my yard for mosquitoes. I paid $115 and was told that, on average, the treatment should last 4-6 weeks. Only 13 days later, I was back to being completely overrun by mosquitoes. I cannot step outside without getting eaten alive. Within 5 minutes, I am getting 7-8 mosquito bites, and I wish I was exaggerating. I called the company first thing on June 25 (day 14 after the treatment) to request that someone come back out and re-spray since the treatment clearly was not working. The customer service representative told me they would speak with their manager and get back to me. Instead of promptly following up, I received a voicemail on June 29 from Jessica stating that her manager said they would not return to re-spray because it was past their 18-day policy window, unless I paid an additional $40. The frustrating part is that I did my part and called on day 14. The company failed to follow up in a timely manner and then used their own delay as the reason to deny service. I called back to express my frustration and explained that had they responded when I originally reached out, I would have been within their policy timeframe. The representative told me he would have his manager call me. It is now July 8, and I still have not received a call. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. The treatment did not come close to lasting the 4-6 weeks I was promised, and the customer service has been even worse. A company should stand behind their work, especially when a customer reaches out promptly about an issue. This company is a joke. I cannot wait until my termite bond is up so I can cancel and take my business elsewhere. Save your money and look elsewhere for pest control services. RUN FAR AWAY. read more

I woud give them 0 stars. They came out and sprayed for ants. Then he charges me $100! He barely did anything. As I paid he asked me to sign. I assumed its for the bill. I start to receive multiple bills. Now it's up to $750! They have never been back out. I've spoken to them and they say I signed a contract and I owe! NO I didn't unless I was unaware and he ripped me off. They refuse to listen to me and won't stop billing me. I'll have no choice but to take them to court. BEWARE! They will scam you too. I already told them I have a contract with another company so I didn't need them, Why would I need 2 companies and 2 contracts? Any attorneys out there willing to take on this case? Cancelled our scheduled service during the day of the appointment, but couldn't fit us in their schedule for two more weeks (it already took three weeks to get service in the first place). They "couldn't find any time in the schedule that was sooner", even though they were the ones that had to cancel the morning of. By the time they did send someone out, the discounts the sales person had promised had "expired" and they would no longer honor them. I was also promised that they would attempt to locate a wasp nest for us that we hadn't been able to find, and that removal would be an extra charge. But when they arrived, they refused to even look without paying the wasp fee. Terrible communications between everyone on their team, nobody knew what anybody else was talking about, poor customer service practices. read more

We purchased a special thru Groupon for their one day service to check them out. We were extremely pleased with the service of their East Cobb division. The exterminator, Dijon (sorry if misspelled) was right on time. He seemed very thorough and knowledgeable about the problem (roach/spider) and spayed the main floor and perimeter to prevent pests. He was polite, friendly, and followed Covid protocols (masked). We were very pleased with the service and once my husband is back to full employment , we will consider purchasing their reasonably priced yearly service. Unfortunately that day it rained very hard, the person arrived on time, rang the bell of the house insistently, entered and dirty my entire floor, I had to ask him to put something in his shoes and return to the car to look for him. He began to place the product lightly without explanation and without touring the house, then he said what he had applied around the house outside in the rain. I never saw him do it. Okay. I purchased a plan for $400 dollars for 1 year of pest control. I was not aware that was what I was purchasing because the sales rep mislead me. No big deal. I wasn't going to make a fuss, plus I could benefit from them coming out to spray every quarter. So I went with it. When the technician came out to my house he said I really didn't need that plan and informed me I could cancel. I decided to just keep it. He said they would come out every quarter to spray, plus any additional times that if I wanted them to do so. AWESOME! GREAT! So once I purchase the plan and I had them come out to spray additional times. When the tech shows up he has an attitude that I keep calling. I just paid $400. I did not see this attitude when I paid my money now it seems to be a problem and they act like I'm being annoying. Do not attempt to transfer a termite policy with these folks because they seem to be incapable of handling it. I've had my termite policy with them for three years with mediocre customer service. Occasionally they pushed back when I asked for a mid-year inspection, but nothing major. However, I recently sold my house and as part of the sale had to provide the buyer with a termite bond for a year. I called Sovereign, asked to extend the bond for a year, gave them the name of the home buyer and expected to be finished. Not so. At this point I have had to call in 3 times, every time being transferred multiple (3+) times to different people, and each time being on the phone for more than 30 minutes, to finally get a written confirmation of the policy being paid and correctly applied to this account for the next year. For anyone who has sold a house, they will know that there are better things to spend time on. And of course the buyer is frustrated because they call in and keep hearing that the policy isn't paid. We, my wife and I have used Sovereign Pest Control since 2011. our first appointment was performed by a tech named J.R., He is great. The next two Techs were horrible, so their management promised to only send J.R. to our home for treatments. This morning we had an appointment with J.R. and they called one of three contact numbers that they have on record, they did not ccall our house phone, they called my wifes cell number only before 8am. We missed the appointment and their CSR's refused to return the tech to our home today. After at least seven years of contracts with us they should have wanted to keep us as customers ,but their CSR's have assured us that they do not care for our business. UPDATE: Soveriegns management has made contact with both my wife and I and has apologized, again, and has made things right with us. They do administer the safest and most effective treatments to our home. Our technician named J.R. has returned and treated our home today. I had a service plan and was moving. I asked to transfer the plan and they would only give me a credit towards a new plan. A new plan would be $375. So in order to use my credit they make you spend more money. Don't use this company. They don't work with you. Only in it for the money. One of the reasons I wouldn't commit to another year with them is because after they spray you still find living pest in your home. Go with another company people. read more

When I first moved to East Cobb I had absolutely no reference (Yelp was still on diapers back then...) to look for on pest control. Being a declared tree-huger, I started looking for enviro options for one of the most non-enviro services there can be. Pest, according to an impartial alien watching Earth, is precisely a label for a specie hiring professional services to systematically eliminate others. The only that advertised itself on those lines (the enviro, not the alien one) was Arrow Exterminators. So I went on, hired those guys, basically for a roach clean up on a house that was closed for a while, and then some wild-life control putting attic screens and the sorts to avoid squirrels and bats getting in. Because this is not a Arrow review (its being many years, and Im not a hater...), I will just say it didn't work and I paid a premium for it. Service was confusing, actions were ineffective, and when the so called 'regional general manager' came on the phone to say he would personally handle the situation, I knew a change was needed (if Hardee's regional gen mgr has to step-in to get by burger right, Im out). So I found Sovereign Pest Control by chance, one of those mail-ins you never ask for. Gave them a call, they explained the options, good price, and the service has been impeccable all those years. I call, they come right away, always clean, respectful, on-time and effective service. No bugs in, no bugging me. The next step for a 5 star? Getting the enviro type of stuff in their portfolio. As long, of course, as it does not mean stop working and becoming a lousy service- like those pointy guys. read more

This is the email correspondence, I have yet to hear from them a response. To customer service: when I originally called I informed the staff that I had a critter running around in the attic and that they would certainly be able to eradicate the animal.  this is why I originally called and wanted service.  I'm pregnant and cannot go up the attic and try to rid of the animal myself.  I was assured that I had called the right place.   I even mentioned possibility of a squirrel and never once did your agent said we don't handle squirrels.   when the technician arrived he informed he that due to liability reasons, he could not walk on my attic floor but assured me whatever was up there, wouldn't hang out there long because it's very hot up there during the day.  I told him that I would hear the animal running up and down the ceiling from my bedroom every morning.  He assured me that whatever was up there, was gone. he also sprayed my house for small insects, including little black ants in my kitchen. just a couple of days later I heard the critter and even though I'm pregnant, I was bound to disprove your technician's theory because I knew the critter didn't go away.  I was on the phone with your staff when I went to the attic and saw a squirrel.  there was no doubt in my mind it was a squirrel and your staff scheduled another appointment the following week to help me get rid of the squirrel.  i also asked them to not send the same technician and I told them that I was still having black ant issues. the following week, guess who showed up?? the same technician I did not want. i let him in and told him he was wrong about the critter and that the ants were still here. he told me those ants are hard to get rid off and sprayed again.  this time he assured me it would work (by the way, it didn't)  I still have black ants. as for the squirrel he said he will not go to attic and for me to buy moth balls and live traps.  i asked why did i hire pest control if you won't get rid of squirrels?  he said they are protected by law.  I told him not to kill but to trap but that is something he doesn't do.  i told him i was on the phone with your staff when I spotted the squirrel and the agent never said that, she never told me you can't help me.  he said he doesn't know why I was told different information. i called your atlanta office to complain, once again and that is when I had enough.  too many conflicting stories and I still have the same problems. I signed up for a one year pest control service with daily mosquito deal last year. They came and sprayed and the spray wasn't as effective. they said they can come and repeat the spray every time we needed it within duration of the one year of the contract. we said ok fair deal. Anyway, the contract was for $415 with monthly installments of $43 or thereabout. I paid $49 for the mosquito deal part the day i signed up, paid $93 on day of 1st service and later sent a check of $273 on 08/13/18 because i wanted to completely pay off the account. So, the total bill has been completely paid, why am i still being harassed with monthly bills? I can't seem to reach anyone on the phone whenever i try to call. I have sent an inquiry via their customer service contact us page on their website and I will send a report to consumer affairs if this does not stop. this is ridiculous! read more

I have had Sovereign as my pest control service for almost 5 years, and they have always been great. This winter I have had horrendous black ant problems, which is a bit unusual. The ants were initially all over the house, and I called Sovereign for help. They sent a technician out immediately, not once, but twice, because although the ants seemed to improve, they never entirely went away. I was told to schedule a follow up appointment for 2 weeks after the second visit. When I called to do so, they said that the manager himself would come by to see what else he could do to fix the issue, since the ants were still persisting in the kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, counters). The manager, Foster, came out for the follow up, and he did an in-depth investigation of where the ants were coming from, what the previous treatments had been, and what had improved and what had not. He then treated the kitchen himself and told us it might still be a couple weeks before we really saw a difference (the treatment was an odorless chemical that the ants had to take back to the nest to kill the colony, which was likely in the walls - and this process takes time). However, we saw results IMMEDIATELY! I can say with confidence that the ants are entirely gone, and have been since that treatment, which was several weeks ago. I am so appreciative of the efforts that Sovereign went to in order to make sure my issues were addressed...and so grateful to Foster for his professionalism and success in fixing my problem. I highly recommend Sovereign as an outstanding pest control company. read more

Pros: They are always on time. Never had customer service issues. Haven't seen too many water bugs since they sprayed. Inexpensive. Cons: Spelled my name wrong on the account and can't seem to change it after telling them many times. Their spraying for spiders and ants seem to be ineffective. Seems like it actually makes them appear even more. I guess their product isn't strong enough. The service I pay for is not worth what I receive. I need these spiders gone and they are here to stay with Sovereign. read more

Can I give no stars? Let's start by we pay monthly for bug service. Except for it doesn't apply to any bug. Ok, maybe a medium sized black ant. Bug has wings- nope. Extra fee for that. Bug has red on it? Nope. Extra fee. And the extra fees aren't just a couple dollars. We had box elder bugs, and they wanted to charge me $150 per treatment and the treatment was not guaranteed to get rid of them. Also, the carpenter bee treatment was $10 per hole (or $90 per month because you can't just treat them once). We had 9 holes each of which they squirted one time with a white powder. I bought the white powder on amazon for $12 and it will probably last me 5 years. That's $5,000 worth of treatments for $12. So we know this company sucks, but here's the kicker....we bought a termite bond through them. They just took our money and gave it to us. Then 6 months later we went to sell the house. I called them to get a letter. The guy who came found 2 dead termites on top of our grill. We had to pay $250 and delay our closing to have them dig trenches through our yard to treat (and the guy who treated and dug didn't find one termite). Then the guy came back to write the letter and noted a whole bunch of previous termite damage that we never knew about even though they gave us the bond 6 months earlier. He drew this intricate diagram and also noted water damage. Um- last time I checked that's not for a bug guy to bring to the attention to home buyers 2 days before closing. Also, they told us they could transfer the service to the new buyers....until they found the 2 dead termites (would I be neurotic to think they planted them??) then the story changed. They don't transfer service. Needless to say, we will not use them in our new house nor should anyone use them ever. PS- they also go under the name 'Southern Pest Control'. read more

When you read the letter you assume they are the ones with the termite warranty to the house. Luckily, we remembered the company that had our warranty and verified it. It's very misleading! I own a home & they only come when it's to their convenience . they are over priced & barely make an effort to come out if it's not on their schedule which is very unfair . Warning do not use this service for roach problems!!!!!! I called Sovereign to come out to spray for roaches and the problem got worst! The guy that came to spray in March 2016. told me told me that not to be alarmed if I see more roaches after he spray and it will get worst before it got better. He told me this was because they will start coming out after he spray and it will take time for the roaches to die. We also told me that my roach problem was not bad. Well I waited for it to get better only to notice that no roaches where dying and small babies increasd tremendously from March to now (June). I called to let Sovereign know this and customer service only wanted me to pay more money so that they can spray again. I hung up and looked a product to buy to spray myself. I found a great spray off Amazon website and the roaches started decreasing immediately. It has been 4 days now since I sprayed on my own wow my roach problem working way faster than I imagined. read more

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I was with Sovereign for almost 4 yrs or more. I always had to wait 2-3 weeks to get appointments for someone to come out because I didn't want 5 different people in my house, I like to stick to one or two that I get to know. On this occasion however, I'd made an appointment and was told it would be 2 weeks out, I accepted this however again irritated with the wait. Upon the day of the appointment I called them again 30 minutes before the appointment time to ask they get in touch with the person coming to my home to tell them to see me (to discuss a situation) before they left. I was told "then" not the prior 2 weeks when I made the appointment, but 30 minutes before the appointment that "they" had cancelled my appointment and my 4 yr contract. When I asked (very surprised might I add) why they told me that I owed them 43.00 and it had not been paid. I asked why they hadn't called me and told me or told me upon my making the appointment, all she said was "Well we've had some bookkeeping issues and accounting issues here". SO....this isn't my fault that YOU have the bookkeeping issues. I thought I was paid up. I'd get a bill in the mail once in a while, but not regularly, about every 2 maybe 3 months. I'd pay it when I got one. She also said the "automated" system had tried to call. Humm, call when? I'd never received a call, and if they were calling the number they had on my account it was incorrect. I'd gave them the new number before but apparently no one recorded that number. Therefore because of "their" accounting errors and bookkeeping issues, I was cancelled after being a loyal customer for 4+ years. Not to mention the manager Foster is a complete liar, don't associate with this guy at all. Don't to business with these people. read more

I agreed to a 2 year service plan. A service agreement is meant to be a two-sided agreement to live up to the conditions of the contract. However, this company expects to only come out if you call them every single time...they expect to perform only once a year, unless you call them every single time you see pests; and you will...I was never pest-free. I never even saw a reduction in pests. I informed them of my dissatisfaction and asked to cancel my contract. They instead, refunded a few months that were due...and then went right on billing me every month. By this time, I had begun handling my own pest control issues and got results myself. So, I expected to have them terminate our agreement, based upon their own "money back guarantee". I have to tell you...they not only "denied" my request to terminate our contract...they also call and argue with me about my experience. I will not stand for horrible service and harassment. I am now in talks with the Attorney General. Whatever you do...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY REGRET IT!!!! read more

Beware of Sovereign Pest Control! The home I purchased had a termite contract on it when I bought it. Sovereign sent me a letter stating that they had the contract on my home and wanted me to contact them to continue it. I called and Jennifer told me that yes they had the contract and she had options for me to choose from to continue. I had them come out and I signed the contract and the tech performed an initial inspection. A Couple of days later I had a man come to my door who said he had the termite contract on my home and has for the last 5 years. He produced each and every service they ahve performed on my property, and even called the previous homeowner by name. He was right. I told him I had been contacted by a company that told me the same, and he said "Let me guess, is the name Soveriegn?" They are known to lie to consumers to get their business. I called Soveriegn to cancel and they gave me an email address. I sent several emails with no response. I called again and was told that the marketing/sales department were the only folks who could cancel my contract. I emailed again and finally got a call back about 2 weeks after my initial email. Jennifer refused to cancel my contract and claimed she never told me they had the contract on my home. I have reported them to the Georgia Department of Agriculture and hopefully they will assist in getting my contract canceled. read more

Do not go with this company. They are known as Southern Pest Control in VA. They a misleading and deceiving in their sales tactics. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR LOW MONTHLY PAYMENT. The representative will tell you that you can cancel anytime but when you are not happy with your service they will not let you cancel the contract without paying the entire remaining balance of your contract (2yr contract). They are not capable in handling and pest including wasps! The reps over the phone will tell you one thing and when the technician will tell you that the reps are wrong. read more
