    Banh Mi

3 stars only because we've ordered takeout from Soy House on and off since Covid and never had any issues until now. I ordered tofu pho and my husband ordered a banh mi. We live about 20 minutes away, and when we got home, my pho only had noodles and tofu. It was missing the bean sprouts, lime, and green chili listed on the menu. The bread on the banh mi was burnt and so hard my husband had to remove it. Where was the kitchen quality control? I worked in the service industry for years and I don't enjoy leaving negative feedback, but I did want to let them know. I called and spoke with a manager who said I would need to bring the food back in person for any sort of refund. Since we don't live in Bellingham, that wasn't realistic. I offered to send photos and was told they didn't have a way to receive them (sure, sure). Unfortunately, nothing was offered to make it right which was frustrating considering our total was $60 and more than half of my husband's sandwich ended up on the trash. It was a disappointing experience overall, and we won't be returning.

The food is always so good and fills you up! The tofu pho in particular is my favorite and the spring rolls are always so fresh. I'm a big fan of being able to take the leftovers home after and them still being just as delicious. The service is pretty nice every time I go! The owner is so nice and welcoming, overall giving a great atmosphere for a date or lunch with friends/family. This place is popular for a reason. Yes it can get busy but the wait is never too long and the tables are always clean! Honestly the food is worth the wait in my opinion.

I was in the Ham a few weeks ago to hang out with my mom and daughter for the day, and we dropped in at Soy House for lunch. The menu was huge and a bit overwhelming for lunch, but soon enough we'd each chosen something delicious to try. Mom got the chow mein and loved it. The serving was huge, and there was enough left over for her to take the rest home for dinner. My daughter grabbed the garlic sauce noodle stir fry with a combo of meat and seafood, plus tons of yummy fresh veggies. And I got the woven vermicelli, which was similar to a classic vermicelli salad, except the noodles were in more of a cake form. It was all delicious! The service was fast and friendly, and we appreciated that they have their own huge parking lot so we didn't have to find street parking on a busy day downtown. This was my second visit to Soy House this year and I have to say, I was impressed!

I really wanted to like this place, but it just doesn't quite deliver for the price. I've tried a few items on the menu, and if I do return, it would probably be for the brisket pho, even though $17 feels a bit steep for a bowl of pho. My vietnamese self can't justify that price for pho. I also ordered the shaken beef (bo luc lac) but was left disappointed. The portion seemed heavy on veggies and rice, but light on beef, which isn't ideal for a $27 dish. Bo luc lac is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, and I often order it, but I was surprised to see green peppers in this version. Personally, I think it would be better with fewer green peppers, more green beans, and most importantly, more beef. The flavors are there, but the balance of ingredients and pricing could use some work.

Hands down the best thing about this place and no offense to the food or the service, is the parking lol. An entire dedicated parking lot right in old town is prime real estate for sure. A great place to go if you are new to Bellingham, like we were, and you can ease your way into the Old Town experience w/o worry. Now let's go inside the restaurant. Service was perfectly fine. Lots of young folks, maybe college kids. Nice décor though we would have liked it to be even more immersive. The food was good and in a way that we felt would be likeable to many people from different walks of life.

Always have to come here when visiting my daughter. The food is amazing and it also comes out fast. Great service too. Wish we had a Soy House in Phoenix!

Tony and the crew never disappoint. I have worked my way through most of the menu, and I am excited to highly recommend this place. Authentic food, setting, and service. During the summer you can sit out on the extended patio and enjoy the sea breeze. Where are you eat some awesome, authentic Vietnamese food. Best Vietnamese restaurant in town.

Soy House Vietnamese Restaurant serves delicious Vietnamese food in Bellingham, WA. Overlooking the water, the restaurant has a light and airy feel. There is plenty of outdoor seating or you may choose to sit inside and take in the whimsical decor. The waitstaff is extremely kind and attentive, ensuring you have everything you need during your meal. Last, but not least, the food is incredible! I had the chicken pho and was blown away by how great the broth was. The soup was not only delicious, but also very filling. I highly recommend Soy House Vietnamese Restaurant if you're in the mood for some great food!

The hostess is personable and friendly, great greeting when you first walk in. Our party of 4 were served really quickly and food arrived shortly afterwards. Nice menu with a variety of dishes to choose from. Large portions and great presentation too. Lunch crowd was manageable but busy. Would definitely recommend for a fun friendly gathering meal.

Halibut was overcooked, gluey, and bad fish taste. It didn't taste like Halibut. Would not recommend.

Halibut was overcooked and not fresh. It was gluey and super fishy. Would definitely not recommend. Server was not interested in making anything better.

Over priced mediocre food with small portions. Not worth it. However our waitress was really honest and friendly.

My companion and I arrived during Happy Hour and these two selections are on that menu, so we had them again--and I guess the utility of this review is to say that these selections continue to be consistently delicious and that this is a wonderful place. We also shared an Afogato--vanilla gelato with decaf espresso poured over! Perfect, quite light after our meal and beautiful enough to paint as a watercolor. This is one of our easy go-to's when looking to dine out. We were happily helped by friendly bartenders, Nicole and Sie, who made great recommendations and great drinks for us. I especially loved the Mario Cicotti cocktail (an interesting variant of an Old Fashioned--including tobacco bitters and charred orange peel!--very interesting). And we enjoyed the beautiful, warm Montepulciano Nicole recommended. And they concocted a surprise drink for my dessert--I can't recall what it was--but it was lovely and came with a bunch of hearts! Consistently wonderful place in all ways, with lots of heart itself. In my opinion, what's not to love?

We saw some people exiting Goat Mountain and were able to snag their empty seats at the bar. Lucky us! And not only for the seats. We've never been here before, and we had a great time. We ordered the Goat Mountain Salad--huge! A bargain! Varied! Delicious! And I, who has never met a beet that I didn't dislike, was delighted that ingredients were grouped individually so I could avoid those. Wonderful salad! And--for a mere buck--you can order a dressing on the side for anything you want. The buttermilk was delicious. I ordered a slice of the Apple & Bacon pie; my guy, Potato & Bacon. Upon their arrival, our notions of pizza were shattered. These were big slices of cake! (Website says Roman-style--we've been to Rome, but these exquisite things were very different.) Totally yummy. As was the warm chocolate chip cookie--divine. (Funny story: I didn't have my readers on. I thought the price was $25. "That's quite a cookie!" I thought, imagining one as large as a pizza--which, incidentally, would have been more expensive than their full pizzas! I looked over the Happy Hour menu, planning a future return. The cookie on the HH menu was only $2. A savings, I excitedly told our bartenders, Miyuki and Montana, of $23!!! No, they told me: 50 cents. I hadn't been able to see the dot.) And speaking of our barkeeps, I am so glad we sat up at the bar. They were wholly delightful and friendly. We very much enjoyed chatting with them. We felt like we had just moved and this was our new "neighborhood bar." And their recommendations for food and drink were spot on. The Smoke in Mirrors was fantastical! Great place!

This pizza (Square Pepperoni Dream w/ hot honey (add on)) was maybe the best pizza I've ever had. The medium was four big slices with a crisp delicate crust like no other, a mix of crunchy and slightly soft quality pepperoni, stretchy mozzarella cheese, and a perfect red sauce that wasn't acidic. The server (sorry, girl, didn't get your name) was helpful and honest about the build your own (gets pricey if you customize substitute). The ambience is very cool with great beer options. Located in downtown Bellingham by my hotel (Hotel Leo). Even has EV chargers in the lot. Hoping to return to Bellingham just to try more pizzas.

    | Fiamma Pizza in Bellingham, WA…read more I've officially been here twice now and I can confidently say... I'm in love. This might be some of the best pizza I've had in Washington, and I say that as someone from the East Coast who takes pizza very seriously. While there are a few great slices in Seattle, Fiamma is easily in my top three pizzas in Washington. We've stopped here twice now after biking up in Bellingham (shoutout to Transition Bikes Outpost), and it's the perfect post-ride stop. Grab a brew, order a pizza, and relax. First off, the service has been great both times. Everyone is kind, friendly, and efficient. It's been busy each time we visited, but pizzas still came out in about 15-20 minutes, which feels completely reasonable for a quality pizza spot. The second time we ordered takeout and it was ready in about 10 minutes, which was awesome. One thing I really appreciate is that you can order a medium pizza with two different halves. That's perfect when you're trying a new place and want to sample more than one style. We tried a few different things: * The Rossa pizza (small to-go) - This was my personal favorite. As an East Coast girl, I'm always searching for a good tomato pie and this scratched that itch. I ordered a small, took some home, and honestly... it was amazing cold the next day. If you know, you know. Next time I might ask for a little less garlic and extra sauce, but overall it was fantastic. * POTATO GORGONZOLA & FENNEL SAUSAGE - I'm a sucker for potatoes on pizza. This one leaned a little sweeter than I expected, but still really interesting and worth trying. The rosemary on it was top notch. * Cheesy SQ Pie - My husband ordered this. It wasn't his absolute favorite style, but it was still a really solid rendition of deep dish and definitely worth trying if you like that style. * "Big Kid" cheese pizza - You really can't go wrong here. Simple, classic, and done well. Husband said the sauce is a smidge more tangy than he would like but it's a dang good slice. But the true star discovery? You can buy a pint of their homemade ranch dressing. Yes. A pint. It's $9 and lasts about a week in the fridge and honestly... it might ruin all other ranch for you. There is nothing worse than bad ranch with good pizza, and this stuff is legit homemade and dangerously good. Some people might think buying a pint of ranch with pizza is a little unhinged. I personally think it's a brilliant life decision. All in all, Fiamma has become a must-stop whenever we're in Bellingham. Great pizza, great service, quick turnaround, and the kind of place you start craving the second you leave. 10/10 will be coming here again!

I decided to try it on a Tuesday. Arrived during the hottest day of the year so far to find a nice cool, clean, classy interior. Was immediately greeted by a friendly hostess who seated me immediately. Restaurant was moderately quiet. Water and menu obtained, I perused the choices and decided Pizza was the thing. The pizza prices were a bit on the high side for a franchise place but the descriptions were promising with some interesting ingredients. Then I spotted it on the bottom of the menu...the Fig Pig. How could I not try it! About 15 minutes later it arrived, I took the first bite and Oh My Lord...when they redo the menu, it needs to be at the top. This is my new favorite pizza in Bellingham. Salty, crispy, meaty and sweet. It hits all the hot buttons. The crust is actually tasty, the pork is perfectly done. It was freaking delicious. Even better, once I finished half the pizza...it was that good...and a box and the check were delivered...the pizza was half off. I called the hostess over to ask if it was a mistake and she said all pizzas are half off on Tuesdays. I now know my Tuesday dinners.
