Puppy love...without the strawberry...not by choice

This review is based off of their summer love drinks only. I always walked past this place and never stopped by for food. But I finally saw their summer special drink and thought to myself how great they sound. I went at noon, during my lunch break cause I wanted a sweet drink. When I walked in I can smell a delicious aroma for food, but I was still just here for the drink. The lady was nice, but doesn't speak English so great. I'm not sure if she speaks Cantonese, but she does speak mandarin. The menu on the wall shows the food being at a nice cheap price. The summer drinks didn't have any price. I order the puppy love. It's a strawberry pineapple drink. I added boba for an extra dollar. You'd think this drink would be around $4-5, but it wasn't. It was $8. That's very pricy for pineapple and strawberry. When I got my drink it was super yellow, so I was a bit confuse wondering if they use a different type of strawberry. Well...apparently I only got a pineapple drink. No strawberry. I had to go to work, so I just left. I probably wouldn't come here for their drinks anymore since it's that pricey and it was made wrong. Their drinks did have pulp in it, so there is definitely some kind of fruit in there, but still not worth it. Even fresh press juice isn't that expensive.

I am a boba smoothie lover, and me and my GF really wanted some boba today. We were close to Chinatown so we chose this location. They have two kinds of boba drinks, the milk ones for $4 and the fruit ones for $7. I personally think that $7 for a smoothie, although freshly squeezed and contains two kinds of fruits, is still pretty expensive. So we tried the milk ones, Winter melon and brown sugar. They put whole milk and boba with this two flavors. The results are bland. The owner said that brown sugar is sweeter than winter melon but they are both really not sweet at all. After drinking for a bit between two, it even became hard for me to know which one is winter melon which one is brown sugar.. I usually asked for half sugar for my smoothies but I didn't this time, and it tasted like just milk and boba honestly. I guess it is really fresh and it is healthy (I think they don't put any sugar other than milk, boba and the option?), but it tasted too "healthy" for me. And they didn't boil the boba long enough as they were hard and lack the texture of chewiness (they break too easily with little pressure). I am not able to say much for the food because I haven't tried any of them but I probably won't come back for the boba drinks anymore.

This is literally a hole in the wall in the Asian market, but anyone who has spent time in Taiwan will instantly be hit with nostalgia as soon as you get a whiff of the place. The salt and pepper chicken (鹽酥雞) was by far the best I've had outside of Taiwan. The lady who runs the place is so sweet, we chatted with her the whole time she made our food. Portion sizes are awesome for the price too. We'll definitely be back, I can't wait to try her other dishes!

Very authentic Taiwanese food. Best in greater SLC area. Would definitely recommend Three-Cup Chicken. A must-order for me every time.

Sometimes I eat here two days in a row because it's just that good. The restaurant recently opened their doors to all ages which is a huge plus. But kids can only eat inside the restaurant (patio seating is 21+). Today, my family had the "DK Experience" which is a six course meal that feeds 4-6 people. It was PLENTY of food and everything was delicious. You do not need to order anything extra because it is a good amount of food. The best part is the duck - so flavorful and beautifully cooked. We spent about 2 hours here as each course is made to order, so be aware of that if you're also ordering the DK Experience. My favorite dish here is the Three cup chicken. The flavor has so much depth and is beautiful seasoned. Be sure to visit during their lunch happy hour for the best deals in town. Thank you Drunken Kitchen for cooking up the best Chinese food in SLC - see you next time!

There was plenty of seating! We sat at the bar, our server was great and attentive. They have restaurant favorites and drink specials posted on the signs. For drinks my friend got the Blueberry Lav French 75 and I got the Huckleberry Mule. Our drinks were great! I've also tried the Grid City Bubble Works canned drinks before and I'd highly recommend those as well! We ordered the Pork Potstickers, Marinated Cucumbers, and Dan Dan Noodles as was recommended by our server. The pork potstickers were super dense and the wrapper was tough, unlike most other potstickers I've had. The marinated cucumbers had a great texture, but were very salty. Our favorite were the Dan Dan Noodles. The sauce was flavorful and seasoned well. The only issue was how difficult it was to eat the huge pieces of bok choy. Overall, I'd definitely come back here for drinks and the dan dan noodles, but the other items did not live up to how I thought they'd be.

This tastes like mom's kitchen if mom had a high flamed gas stove. The dishes that benefited from that smoky hot wok flavor had it. I was so excited to eat I forgot to take pics of all the dishes at the table. Green beans with garlic was so tasty, I finished the leftovers the same night, I remembered to take a photo in the takeout container. The cauliflower (I don't know the actual name but it's stir fried, spicy and comes with peppers) had wok hei and I couldn't stop eating it. Beef rolls is the sophisticated auntie of the scallion pancake. Think of it like an asian burrito with thin sliced beef, fresh scallion and cilantro, and a touch of hoisin all hugged together with a crispy tasty scallion pancake. The shredded potato tastes like the best potato salad that isn't your picnic potato salad. The shredded potatoes were quickly blanched then stir fried preserving the crunch and crispness similar to al dente pasta. Seasoning was on point. The homiest flavor came from the stewed short rib. The rib pieces were braised in a soy and star anise sauce like what you find in Taiwanese beef noodle soup. The peels potatoes were cut rustically and just cooked through and not mushy. Authentic flavors and freshness like this is so so hard to come by. I can taste the quality of the ingredients used. One tip I have for selecting authentic food is by looking at the customers. If the customers are all Asian eating at an Asian restaurant, you know the food is going to be good. Service was 10/10, waitress was super polite and stopped by to chat with us about the food and SLC. I am from out of town but I grew up eating at NYC Asian restaurants and this is as good as if not better. If you happen to stop by the largest Costco in the world, make a pit stop here to refuel after all those steps.

The two stars are for the management, not the employees. We came in for lunch on a Saturday, and the dining room was unbearably hot. It honestly felt like eating in an indoor sauna. At first, we thought the AC was broken. After asking about it, we were told that the staff couldn't adjust the AC without the owner's approval, and the owner was out of town. I can't verify whether that's actually the policy, but if that's what happened, it's hard to understand why no one could make the restaurant comfortable for both customers and the employees working there--especially considering how hot it's been lately. That experience left a really bad impression. If saving on air conditioning was the reason, I think that's a poor decision that comes at the expense of everyone's comfort. While writing this review, I also noticed another google review from someone who said they had concerns about how management treated employees. I can't speak to their experience, but combined with what I experienced, it doesn't leave me with much confidence. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be coming back

I waited patiently expecting to be blown away assuming they must have been spending the time meticulously preparing this dessert. I was wrong. It wasn't bad, but it was a few pieces of soft, delicious mochi along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce atop a bowl of slushed ice, reminiscent of what I made out of my Snoopy snow cone machine as a kid and not the fresh, fluffy snow-like shaved ice one would expect with this order.
