Today, August 20th, is my one year anniversary with my girlfriend. In anticipation of this big day, she booked us an appointment at spa 505 for a couple's session on groupon. So imagine our surprise when we arrived to be told that our reservation was booked for August 19th. Not only did the person at the front tell my girlfriend that it was her fault, that she had requested the wrong day, but she rudely informed us that she would not honor a coupon on a "day of appointment". This was not a walk in, this was scheduled and mishandled entirely on their end. They mess up our appointment and expect us to pay more because of that? Will not be getting our business going forward, and they should seriously reconsider their policies. Negative stars. read more

The manager was very rude. I attempted to use my groupon and was told that they do not accept same day appointments with groupons. She wanted me to pay cash then make a second appointment using the groupon! I will not be making any appointments at this place. Wish I could give a negative star to this poor excuse of a business. My husband got me a groupon for an hour massage for me for my birthday. He then decided to get one for himself so we could enjoy the day together. Walked through the door was greeted by a cold, unwelcoming voice. Asks me if I have an appointment right away, no Hi, "how are you", no "welcome". Tell the person we do. She directs us to the other person up at the front. They loudly speak in another language ignoring us for a solid 2-3 minutes. The desk woman starts to look at me, begins to point to my stomach and ask me if I am okay. I'm really not sure what is happening, but she is literally POINTING at my stomach and saying"your stomach... You OK???You pregnant?" And I am NOT pregnant. I got so livid I stormed out the door. I am suffering with major mental illness that has made me gain weight rapidly, and I had recently just lost 45 lbs!! That is no way to conduct a business at all, completely unprofessional and appalling. Have your customers fill out a form when it comes to personal questions instead of POINTING at them and asking. I was mortified, upset, and extremely angry. To come into a place to relax and leave more tense and upset than I got there is just honestly horrible. Save your money and stay far away from this place. Horrible. About to call groupon and complain about them too. read more

My husband and I went for a Groupon couples massage. While everyone was pleasant we were vibed out by the massage rooms. The room was tiny. The massage beds had a disposable cover on the bed. The towel provided for coverage was no bigger than a bath towel. The massage therapists got on the tables with us and straddled our bodies all the way up to our heads. Very awkward and uncomfortable. We could not wait to leave but the owner insisted we leave a $20 gratuity to each girl. We will NEVER go back. In the future I will go visit a location before purchasing a Groupon. read more

I purchased a Groupon for this massage and was surprised as others were to be charged an additional $3.50 for 'tax'. The hot stone massage was not like any other hot stone massage I've ever had. Most of the massage was a hard, painful, deep tissue massage (which I hate) . When I told the masseuse that I was in pain she had to run out of the room and get another person to come in and translate that I was in pain. This happened twice. Most of the massage after the level of pain desired was communicated was pleasant but certainly not hot rock. At the end she did rub some very hot rocks on my back. It was a mediocre massage, worth $39, though but the additional $3.50 was a bit shady. The surroundings were not conducive to a relaxing massage and I would rather spend more money and go to Red Door. Won't be going back. read more

Worst experience of my life. I was searching on groupon for a couples massage for me and my boyfriend, thought it would be nice so before purchasing it I called to ask how long the $85 dollar deal was. The lady over the phone told me one hour each. So I was pretty excited, however as many other reviews mentioned.. The last said purchase it in store and we will give you the same price as groupon. In a way I was like wow that's nice of them.. But then when I realized I was like they only did that because that way they get the complete commission, rather giving groupon a percentage. Which is ridiculous, because it is so shady. Anyways I proceeded with my couples massage day after I called. One it was freezing in the room it was ridiculous, I thought maybe the massage room would be better however it wasn't. They charged me before the service which I don't know if that's normal or not one only gotten a few massages in my life. When I paid there was a spot for tip and since I've never been here before I thought I'll give the tip ahead but only rounded up 3$. And thought to my self yes it's not much but depending how they do I'll come back. The massage he's self was so rough and painful, the ladies in the room were talking for a majority of the time. And the worst part of the whole thing is once we were leaving.. The lady was so nice and walked me to the waiting room and was waiting for something I was like yes and she didn't know English so she got the owner and he said tip? Did you tip the ladies? I said yes I did in the card.. So he went looked saw it was only $3 he said that's it no no suggested tip is at least $10 each which was $20 just in tip. To me this was ridiculous because the massage wasn't as good as expected and literally my boyfriend was out the door and I was half way out and they told me no don't go until I gave a tip... Thank god I had a 20$ with me because if not I felt I would've been held there till they got there tips. Worst experience ever !!! I would not recommend it. read more

By far the worst spa i have ever been to. Horrible massage, painful at times and they wouldn't let me leave until i gave the girl a bigger tip because apparently using a coupon means you need to give more of a tip. Trash service, rude workers and a dirty environment read more

i would give zero stars if i could. i bought a groupon for a 1 hour couples massage. me and my boyfriend went, we were at first turned off by the unwelcoming back entrance we came into, but put that aside when we walked into what seemed like a quiet and relaxing spa. we walk to the front and inform them we're using the groupon. they show us to a room and tell us to get ready for them. the room was small and looked dirty. we were rushed to get ready, asked 5 times in the few minutes of getting undressed and ready , before they decided on their own to come in and help us get undressed and ready and put our stuff away. at this point i was extremely uncomfortable and ready to leave. i was already pissed off because it was my boyfriends first time doing something like this and i felt ripped off before even beginning. i was exposed to the women who didn't seem to care for my privacy and she ripped my towel on and off of me while i tried to cover myself. once the massage starts both women massaging us take an unlabeled bottle of oil and rub it all over me to the point the oil is dripping off. she uses such light pressure it feels like she just had her hand resting on my back. i occasionally looked over to my boyfriend and the few times i did, the women was gone. it seemed like they were the only two working there. she would leave for 5 minutes at a time. as the massage went on she went to my lower back and completely removed the towel from mine and my boyfriends butts to which i pulled it back up and she continued to pull it back down. when i rolled over i was completely exposed, totally improper draping technique, i felt very uncomfortable and sketched out. as the message goes on for the two of us the women begin slapping and punching me and my boyfriends back, arms and legs pretty hard. i guess they thought it was a massage technique but it hurt and wasn't enjoyable. they were either punching us or barely putting a finger on us. then they get a steaming hot towel from another room (which takes them 10 minutes to get) and rub our bodies with this wet dog smelling towel. completely unsanitary. they then go on to rub this mysterious oil All over my face and in my hair! i broke out for days. on top of that, the face cushion that you rest your head in GAVE ME AND MY BOYFRIEND STYES IN OUR EYE. do not go here unless you want bad service, to be uncomfortable and rushed, and to get infected. the second the timer goes off for the hour to be up, she abruptly turns the lights up and says 'ok girl. you done' after not saying two words to me during or before the massage. we get dressed and ready to leave and they wait outside of our door to be tipped. although it was a groupon deal i still tipped them 15$ each, so it ended up 130$. it was not cheap to get absolutely ripped off and traumatized for our first time getting a massage together. will never return back. didn't even waste my time trying to get my money back. truly wanted to see if i could take a legal stand against the fact that their unsanitary products and equipment caused us BOTH to get styes. save yourself the time, spend the extra 30$ at a salon that is GOOD. read more

First massage I ever had here was great...the guy was great and had really strong hands. I called and made an appointment for today for a friend and I with a groupon and when we got there the woman at the front desk (same woman every time) asked my name and number which I gave and then she goes "okay I have you here, what time is your appointment?" ....(now I'm confused)...she then proceeds to tell me we can't use our groupon today and we need to purchase another massage for $45 and keep our groupons for next time...I said no way and showed her we paid $31 for the groupon so there was no way I was paying again and paying the extra!!!! So now she starts saying we can't use the groupon the same day as we purchased them...I told her we didn't buy them today and it states the day purchased on the groupon itself. Now she's saying to us that they are too busy and don't think they can do us today and if we could come tomorrow...mind you I called and made the appointment at 11 am this morning...I asked her why In the world she would have my friend and I schedule the appointment and show up if they couldn't even take us...I was so livid. She was spinning one thing after another to us and wasn't making any sense....basically if you don't have time for your scheduled appointments then don't book them...or have the decency to call the number you requested and say you have to cancel the appointment and ask us to reschedule. I had my groupon refunded...I was disgusted with the way this woman handled business. read more

I don't like to complain about things but this experience was very disturbing to me. My daughter and I went for massages at this location on Saturday and could not have been more disappointed. The place was very unsanitary. There wasn't a paper cover on the opening where I was told to place my face. I had to use the paper on the bed to cover the opening. Also, when I turned over to be on my back, they used a pillow from a couch to put under my head which had no paper covering on it. I was skeeved that I was using a pillow that who knows how many other people with dirty hair have also used. I was also told that I HAD TO give 10-15% tip which I refused to do. The owner got angry so my daughter and I just left. Oh, and when we first got there, I noticed two employees lying down on the beds that were used for customers' massages. Very disturbing to me. Couldn't wait for it to end. This was a gift from me to my daughter for her birthday. It certainly was memorable . . . we will never forget how upsetting this was. And the massages were not good at all. There weren't even doors on the massage rooms . . . just a curtain that anyone could have peeked through. read more
